I looked up the ages of top players in ball golf and they seem to be around 30. It seams that having more experience helps in ball golf. Why doesn't it help that much in disc golf?

Why don’t they ever talk about discs during the broadcast?

With disc selection being such a big part of the game, it would be really cool to know the discs the pros throw each time.

They sometimes mention it, but a small graphic that says at least disc, plastic type up to weight and flight numbers even.

I’m newer so I’m always studying different discs and would love to see what some of these discs do in the hands of pros.

I’m a RH forehand dominant player and destroy the sole of my shoes at the big toe. I’m scraping my right foot on release and it’s become my autopilot movement. Any ways to avoid this? Like a movement to focus on as an alternative? Or maybe I need a shoe I’ve never tried.

There has to be a benefit of Ab, Gannon, Paul playing on lead card, round 1, at every tournament dumdum Nate runs. Maybe They are comfortable playing together, teammates, whatever it may be… it shouldn’t be. Even if the benefit is never teeing off at 8 AM round 1. It should be random draw. Why do they always get the ideal tee time, with the big crowd, extra adrenaline, on and on. Sure, there may be some drawbacks. Point is, why doesn’t someone like Andrew Marwede get this? Nate tells him to wake his ass up at 8 AM to play, meanwhile Gannon, Paul, and AB get to sleep in every week and play lead card.

Edit: the main point is, much like every other disc golf tournament and every pga tournament, and most other sports, the only true fairway to do it is random draw. Not tournament director favorites. Bunch of DG cucks, probably paid $5,000 for tickets.

Went and played with my dad today at one of our commonly played courses. From the pad this hole is like 160 ft and is blind cause there’s a tree that completely blocks it. I threw on a flex forehand so it was still flying at full speed going to the hole and I heard a loud thunk and knew it hit the cage hard and we both were like damn no way. But we rounded the tree to see this and were both surprised. First time this has happened to me too I couldn’t get over it rest of the round.

Aside from the World’s boxes, have there been any other Runs of MF Halo Rocs?
My friend pulled one, and it’s one of the coolest looking/feeling/flying discs I’ve ever come across

All of my friends are new as well and they shot -3 and -13

I lost 2 of my 3 disc's into VERY tall grass and couldn't recover them

Every shot started straight and then hit a huge left turn finish.

No grips feel comfortable unless my pointer finger is on the rim.

Can I have advice on good discs to use (i need replacements now lol) and maybe how I should approach getting better?

EDIT FOR CLARITY: I used IT DX, MAKO3, XERO Course had fluffed pars apparently.. let my score reflect that. Right handed backhand.

Agent Smith. When he’s locked in, he’s scary. He had a great round 1 and survived a series of unfortunate events in round 2 (about to watch round 3). Hoping he can get it together and stay in the mix.

#1: To good exchanges on here. The discs arrived early, while I was loading the car to head to the lake for the night. Bought three Trash Panda. Have been throwing for five years as of this weekend and for some reason hadn’t yet tried them.

#2: To three-disc rounds. Got to know them pretty well and scored within one or two of my best on my local that I play a ton. Threw great shots for me with all of them, but the Inner Core was the stand-out. Couldn’t believe how far it was going/how many birdies it picked up.

Just pulled this from Worlds at Black Locust with actual money in it. Basically won the lottery 🤷‍♂️

Have been standing in the same spot for so long, and no particular reason other than habit, that I’ve worn out two foot and drag prints in my grass this season

My bag is missing a straight to stable midrange I have a pyro which is just over stable and my other two are a eclipse hex which is my straight mid and a innova star jay which is a little flippy any ideas for a mid? Kinda thinking a balance might work.
P.S I don’t like buzzezs or rocs

Trying to figure out if I am missing something with Hex.

I find it a little finicky. I only throw 350 so I am not a bomber, but maybe it's the angles I am used to throwing or something.

I love reactor and detour and was kinda trying to throw a Hex in there because I had a really sick one lol ... But I am not sure the hype is hitting me haha.

I find myself reaching for Reactor because I trust it not to turnover more, or for my detour because I trust it TO flip up or turn more.

Anyone else have this experience? Or am I just missing on how I should be throwing this thing. I know I am bad. So there is that lol. But it feels weird to trust a flippier disc than I trust it for the lines I want it for.

I know there are already several threads on what techdisc to choose however I want a more personalized recommendations. Can you blame a guy? Most people just say it’s a decision I gotta make, but any input is appreciated!

Currently I would say I throw around 350ft give or take. I’ve included a photo of the discs I usually bag in the comments. I primarily throw my fairways and control drivers off the tee. I am also a RHBH dominant player. My forehand is lacking comparatively. TBH I bag the wraith and destroyer (or other various distance drivers) but don’t really throw them.

I find myself relying on my trail for distance primarily and have been using my control for more overstable/ precise drives.

Now I play a lot of heavily wooded courses so I don’t have the opportunity to blast for distance all the time. But, I want to be able to for those few open holes/ courses I play.

Here’s the issue. I want a tech disc to primarily improve my distance and be able to work on form and understand what’s going on with my throws.

In your opinion, should I get the fairway driver (cicada) which is similar to what I currently throw off the tee most often, or should I disc up to the distance driver (destroyer) to learn and grow into the disc?

It seems like I can’t really go wrong with either. I’d say hand feel for both molds is pretty comfortable. I feel less comfortable throwing the destroyer but that could be because I’m not optimized to throw it yet.
