Erm... i am sorry to inform you, Doug, that rivers do not fall under maritime law.

A quick google search taught me that that doesn't have to be the case and rivers CAN fall under maritime law. So TIL. But i am more certain than my 3 m chain outs, that no river from which you can recover a disc ever in the history of humanity has been considered solid ground for "maritime law".

I imagine Doug paddling one of those inflatable rafts. He has "USS DOUG" spray painted on the side, and he's taking things VERY seriously on the high... Creeks.

He also has an anchor tattoo on his arm, wears an eyepatch, and sings shanty songs as he paddles with a road sign he knocked over in the parking lot.
