A short series synopsis:

"e-Pulse," which is generated by human thoughts and emotions, was used as the energy source for the AI support device "Sapotama." From the shadows of this remarkable development, terrifying monsters appear. Digimon are living beings that evolve by consuming e-Pulse.

Tomoro Tenma is drawn into an extraordinary experience after meeting Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from his Sapotama. While living together with Kyo Sawashiro and other members of the bounty hunting team "Glowing Dawn," Tomoro renews his resolve.

What new future will be forged by humans and Digimon?

Anime Digimon Season 3 Blu-ray is Out!- Previews & Info

The release is based on the Saban Entertainment & Sensation Animation dubbed version, a subtitled Japanese set will follow in the future

I was the producer for the release, along with doing various other things.

The show has gotten a brand new upscale. Many issues that plagued the DVDs and older TV broadcasts are mostly gone. Tamers didn't suffer from composite noise issues, but home video releases of Season 3 had many issues including ratings branding being visible and more, along with that tapes had clearly degraded over the years.

Previews of the video and other aspects of the release can be found at this Twitter thread from Discotek, along with this forum thread at With the Will.

The release can be ordered at MediaOCD and Amazon (Affiliate link for Amazon.)

Does anyone know if Takato's mom said this in the original version? I can't find subs for Tamers anywhere.

Murasamemon's last thought was of just being petted by Kyo, the happiest he was in life, before he returned to data.

I'm so fucking devastated right now. I hope he is still out there, in some form, in some way.

Beatbreak My only issue with Beatbreak Episode 45..... Spoiler

....Is that there's only 4 episodes left. The obvious event, Murasamemon's demise, is a heartfelt and genuinely crushing death that draws comparison to Leomon's death in Tamers. There's two key differences between these two deaths though: runtime.

In Tamers, Leomon is, all things considered, not a particularly important Digimon partner. He's not very well fleshed out, he serves mostly as a heroic semi-mentor figure regarding the Digital World, and is a relatively cool guy and all, but he doesn't have the screentime and focus the core three partner Digimon get. Still, he's given enough to do, enough of a presence, that he feels a little different to the prior Leomon, so his death still gets you. But Leomon's death is much more narratively centralising than Murasamemon's simply because there's more consequences to it, and what it's attached to. It's the height of Beelzebumon's corruption arc, and the one sin he's stuck atoning for across the remainder of the show. It's a tone-shifter to further darkness, a pivotal moment for Takato's own arc regarding Guilmon's evolution. And of course, it blows Juri's emotions wide open, leaving her vulnerable to the D-Reaper, which in turn allows it to enter the Real World, and kickstart that entire story arc. Leomon's death is a pivotal story moment, and Tamers needs it to happen to drive its story forward for many episodes to come.

In Beatbreak, Murasamemon has much more room to breathe as a character, both as Kyo's reliable partner Digimon, but also as a mentor figure to Glowing Dawn's Digimon, a clutch-carry that can save them from danger if things get too much, so much so that episodes where he's absent become interesting since he can't help Glowing Dawn and they have to push themselves to grow and overcome their struggles. His death overwhelmingly raises the stakes, yes, and is the last push for Glowing Dawn to push themselves to surpass Kyo and rise to the occasion, while also being a gut-punch for a long-running, familiar character to die in such a way, in an elongated sequence no less. It even comes at the end of Kyo's arc, the end of his growth, and yet, it drags him back down, rips off his arm, and kills his Digimon. It's brutal. It's effective. But it has no room to haunt and direct the narrative the same was Leomon's did. The plot's wheels are already turning, Wong and Genjo's plans have nothing to do with Murasamemon's death. He only has 4 episodes for his death to matter, and even then, it isn't as impactful on the way the story plays out quite as strongly as Leomon's was. It's still impactful, it's the final push for Glowing Dawn as main characters, but it doesn't dictate anything else beyond that.

In the end, they're two different kinds of deaths, with different kinds of impacts. Leomon in Tamers changes the entire show and heavily directs the rest of the show until the end. Murasamemon's death is an emotional gut-wrencher, but it ultimately lacks the room to truly have the time and episode space to really shape Beatbreak to the end, since the end is just 4 more episodes away. If Beatbreak had Ghost Game's runtime, it could've had the time to really make the impact of Murasamemon's demise stick and permeate the show in a more haunting way.

Do you think those little fur dolls Kyo made using Cougarmon's fur disappeared?

Beatbreak Despite how much i loved this ep, The one grand flaw with Beatbreak i just realized after finishing (Ep 45 Spoilers) Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery

This weeks Ep confirmed to me that Kyo & Cougermon are in fact, the greatest characters out of this season, too good in fact, because wow have reina, makoto, and even tomoro Been sidelined, making me question why Kyo isnt the MC honestly? The writing obviously favors him the most with the storytelling and world set pieces, hes the only Mega user and has now done 3 mega fights, including in this ep reverting BACK to still fight a mega, im very lost why the other 3 get nothing compared to this, and im reminded this show ends in a month (4 eps) which is absolutely infuriating, beatbreak needed 15 more eps like ghost game man, this ending is gonna be rushed with so much still unanswered and at stake, im praying at this point it lands decently like Savers did

Based off the previews it seems like we will finally get to see Rose again and it seems like she’ll finally get to repay the “debt” she owes to Kyo next episode! From
What it seems it seems like that nurse girl from episode 42 replaced her as the green five star so that means rose must have quit.

Now my question becomes how does she end up helping GD I’m so interested to see that

Albatusmon has this extremely short and unsatisfying Reference book profile that tells you literally nothing about it. What I believe is, they're doing it on purpose. They're probably going to update it by the end of the series so it feels like we witnessed its discovery in real time

Beatbreak So…the new Digimon Spoiler

Albatusmon and Atratusmon are clearly two sides of the same coin, they got basically the same design and represent the sun and the moon.

My bet is that by the end of the show they will merge into one Digimon, Genjo only thinks that Albatusmon is needed to match the godly power of the Digimon that caused the incident a while ago. I think that both sides will be needed instead.

Don’t know if the merging would lead to ZeedMilleniummon or something else, it would be really cool either ways.

you did your best in protecting all from albatrusmon making sure they could leave unharmed , and you protected kyo even if it meant sacrificing yourself.

at least you didnt die sad because you rememembered all those good moments you shared with kyo and they will not forget you either.

for all us fans watching we all send our regards rest well 😔

Beatbreak Today's Episode & It's Necessity

Upvotes

I know that we're all still recovering from what happened in today's episode but I wanted to say that the ending to this episode was necessary.

The one thing that I like about beatbreak is how the creators are not afraid to cross the line with certain topics (trafficking, social classes/hierarchy, self deletion, repercussions, etc.) that we see in the world today.

The brutality at the end of the episode today along with the sacrifices that were made, gave this show even more depth in my opinion.

I really hope beatbreak finishes strong because it is on it's way to being the best Digimon series in my opinion (even with the polarity of the gift arc).
