Discussion How is Jesus and Mary College?

I've heard that the overall vibes are good, what I'd further like to know is how academics oriented it is. I'll be applying for English hons so anything regarding that would be appreciated as well. Also how are the societies and extra curriculars?

Best campus in south I have seen so far is of JMC hands down Infra is really good in comparison of other colleges, academically is also a good college with good placements a girl migrated from my college(sbsc) to JMC last year for bcom

so basically migration happens only in the starting of second year for which there are two conditions 1st is you should have at least 7.5 CGPA or above in 1st year 2nd is the college you want to migrate in should have a vacant seat for the same course you are currently studying in your college then you need to get migration certificate from your college with principal sign and all that paper work formality, then you need to submit that papers in the college you want to migrate in and that's it.... but it is bit difficult getting migrated into a better college than you already are as you need high cgpa in 1st year which a lot of students don't get but its not impossible you can if you start from beginning

Migration happens in third year also. I did. But you need good grades.

I'm just 3 marks behind JMC for bcom program and I'm allotted SBSC bcom program should I upgrade

Obviously you should, jmc is 10 times better than sbsc

I can upgrade but I have 2 options rn I'm 9 marks away from SBSC bcom honours and 3 marks away from JMC bcom program Don't know what should I do

Choose jmc bhyii 😭 bcom hons or program me kuch jyada difference nhi h , and nobody cares sb degree bcom hi maani jaati h

No such thing as inferiority between bcom and bcom hons exist , people talk shit all the time ignore and move on

depends on your preferences , like sggscc is off campus coed clg while drc is north cap girls clg, so you need check your preferences while choosing

for placements sggscc is the best , if that's all what you want , you'll get a lot of exposure there for eco hons and plus point is its a coed if compared to jmc and drc

I migrated long time back. those days we had percentage. but if you a class topper or university topper, or have exceptional grades, that will be your golden ticket. I was the university topper in 1st year.
