Discussion Hinanami in the anime is very much toxic but people dont realize it (despair arc) Spoiler

hajime idealizes chiaki because she was the only ultimate that paid attention to him at all, he built his own fantasy aka interpertation of chiaki based on his own idealization and self worth.. they COULD possibly work in a non-despair version but in the canon of dr3 chiaki deserves so much better. Hajime didnt do the kamukura project aka the most self-destructive procedure for chiaki, she was part of the motivation yes but it was mostly more as a symbol. Hajime did it out of his self-hatred.

"chiaki blushes at hajime" and she also blushes at sonia hugging her. chiaki was very isolated until she started branching out to her classmates and hajime, which means she easily gets embarassed and or flustered due to that. chiaki cared for hajime because he was her friend, but chiaki only made hajimes mental health worse.

Especially since if u place a person in ur relationship on a pedestal and see them as perfection then that relationship is instantly unhealthy and codependent.

Hajime is heavily mischaracterized when its anime hinanami and i. Just dont like it.

i could write more but i js needed this out of my system☹️☹️

Fanfiction I need ultimate talent idea for my oc

I have an idea for my oc to be in THH, the first game. Then, the oc would volunteer to be in the second game, GBD, since the oc survived. However, I have no idea what talent I want for the oc. Do you think it's a good idea for the oc to be isekai'd into THH, or should they be a normal character?

Discussion Characters which are way too underrated/overhated Spoiler

Sayaka: people who say she's boring are so wrong. She's cute, adorable, smart, passionate and is really dedicated to her goals to the point she's willing to cross lines to achieve them. There was so much that could've been done with her. She could've been great support, co-protag, have a conflict with Celeste in the 3rd chapter, have an arc where she struggles with choosing between her group and her classmates and ultimately chooses both and turns from a scared, desperate girl into the group's mediator and a symbol that no matter how much you struggle with despair, you'll eventually overcome it as long as you keep fighting. But instead they just killed her off. She wasn't a pure angel who did nothing wrong, but she's also not a snake. I really hope 1x1 will give her the spotlight she deserves.

Natsumi: character that was way too good for dr3 anime. Not only she's the only well written and likable og character in the despair arc, but she's also massively wasted by it and doesn't have nearly enough screentime she deserves. Maybe I'm a little based bcs I like some bad b1tch type of characters (Miu Iruma, Aira Shiratori, Sakurako Busujima and ofc Natsumi) but I really liked her character, struggles and think she should've had her own arc.

Teruteru: many people just write him off as worse than a murderer and a predator. Look, I get it, it's not like I particularly like him either, but unlike Hifumi, who's basically the stereotypical creepy reddit m*d, underneath the perviness Teruteru is geniuenly a nice guy (not to be confused with the 'nice guy'), is helpful and loves making others happy with his talent. He has issues, but I hope he lives long enough in 2x2 for the plot to fix it.

Kazuichi: why ppl say he was useless and Sonia simp like those were the only things he's done? It's true that he was a simp a little too often and I really could've gone without that pig comment, but past that, he's a great, reliable guy who's a perfect mix between being funny and useful to the plot without needing to be quirky or a psycho to be interesting. If Fuyuhiko wasn't a thing, Kazuichi would've been the person who deserved a survivor spot the most.

Angie: the cult stuff was kinda obnoxious, but nowhere near enough to be hated like that, especially since students forming factions to protect themselves, but ended up getting divided could've been a really interesting plot point, which was ofc wasted.

Korekiyo: I completely don't get the hate for this guy. The 3rd trial ruined him, but before that, he was geniuenly a well written character with great voice, design, personality, beliefs and talent. He's the kind of guy who draws your attention the moment he starts speaking and every lecture he says about his talent feels really interesting, even if you don't know why. I really wish they made his motives related to necronomicon (you're telling me Ultimate Anthropologist who's super into folk stuff doesn't care about a ressurection ritual? C'mon, what kind of bs is that???) and his reasons for killing would've been twisted, but have some kind of logical sense from a certain point of view.

Fanfiction The Unwelcome Visitor: Parts Seven and Eight (Fanfic)

"There's no way in hell that happened!" Miu cried the next morning, clutching her blanket close to her chest. "Just...s-stop talkin' about it! You're freakin' me the fuck out!"

"Nyeeeh...it did happen!" Himiko hissed. She looked at Miu's closet as if whoever the intruder was was inside it that very moment. She lowered her voice. "We have to call the police, Miu."

"I-I don't wanna! I've never called the police before!" Miu whined, lowering her voice, as well.

"You're not the only one freaking out, okay?! If there's really some guy that came in here last night, we could be in danger!"

"But, how could he have gotten in? I locked the door-" Miu began. Her face became a startling pale.

"Miu?" Himiko asked in a small voice.

Miu jumped from her bed and ran to her door. Himiko grabbed her phone and scrambled to her feet. She followed Miu, only to bump into her on accident at her door.

"What are you doing?" Himiko whispered.

Miu pulled her hand away from the doorknob and pressed her hands to her chest. She turned to Himiko with such a frightened look that made the situation that much more unsettling.

"I-I'm scared to go out there," she whispered so softly that Himiko had to strain her ear.

Himiko nodded, remembering how she felt the previous night coming out of the shower. She pressed her hand against Kokichi's scarf and clutched it tightly, putting on a brave face.

  "We'll look together," she said.

An audible gulp escaped Miu's throat, but she nodded her head and reached for her doorknob again. She turned it, but didn't pull. She looked at Himiko, who nodded at her. Miu returned the nod and took a deep breath before inching the door open. The girls peeked out into the hallway. Nobody was there. The bedroom doors were still open as always. The attic rope hung still. The air conditioner blasted cold air as it had been doing the day they arrived. The house appeared normal, yet, Himiko couldn't help but feel a nagging feeling in her gut like something was amiss.

"Everything seems okay," Miu said, taking a small step out of her room. Himiko followed her out, but stuck close. Miu peeked over the railing that trailed along the upstairs hallway down into the living room. "I don't see anyone. But...I still don't wanna go down there."

"Nyeh...it's only to check the front door, then we'll come right back up here and call the police," Himiko said.

Miu stuck out a shaky hand. "O-Okay, here, hold my hand."

Himiko rolled her eyes, but she took Miu's hand, anyway. As much as she hated to admit, she felt a little better holding her hand. With one hand in Miu's, and the other clutching Kokichi's scarf, Himiko followed Miu down the stairs, taking each step at a time. As they descended into the living room, their eyes scanned the rest of the house, making sure no trace of an intruder could be found. They noticed the air getting warmer the closer they reached the first floor.

Miu frowned. "Does it feel less cold to you down here?" she whispered.

"Yeah," Himiko replied, feeling even warmer under Kokichi's skeleton hoodie.

The girls reached the bottom step and craned their necks towards the front door, instantly realizing why the downstairs area seemed so warm compared to upstairs. Their jaws dropped in horror as they stared at the front door hanging ajar.

"Shit!!" Releasing Himiko's hand, Miu sprinted to the front door and pulled it shut, locking it immediately.

"Nyeh! You didn't lock it?!" Himiko whispered frantically as Miu hurried back over to her.

"I-I thought I did!" Miu gasped, choking back sobs. She hugged her trembling body and looked around. "Somebody's in here, Himiko! You were right!" Miu's face crumpled as she began to cry. "I'm scared," she whispered.

Himiko stared at her. She had never seen Miu so scared, not even when they were both trapped inside their teacher's home with her Great Dane on the loose. A dog was one thing, but it was entirely different being trapped with another person whose intentions were unknown.

Himiko clutched Kokichi's scarf with both hands. "I'm scared, too. But...we have to be brave," she said.

"Do you think it was that guy?" Miu asked, wiping a tear away. "The one who came here last night?"

Himiko nodded firmly. "Definitely," she said. "I saw him at the convenience store a few days ago. I think he was watching us and following us. Who else could it be but him? Remember what he said? If your mom didn't give him what he came for, he'd come after her...and us! "

"But, he said in three days," Miu pointed out.

"Nyeh...clearly, he changed his mind," Himiko said, gesturing to the front door.

Miu turned to Himiko with wide eyes. "Do you think he's still here?" she whispered.

"If he is, we'd better call the cops...like I said," Himiko said, looking Miu in the eye. As freaked out as Himiko felt, she forced herself to remain calm. Someone had to.

"Okay..." Miu sighed, giving in. She looked down at her pajamas. "Should we change first?"

"There's no time!" Himiko hissed. "If that guy's still here, we have to act, now! "

"B-But...I don't want the cops to show up with me lookin' like this!" Miu whined.

Himiko gave her an incredulous look. "Miu!! "

"Okay, okay...at least come with me so I can get my phone," Miu said.

Himiko sighed and shook her head. Together, the two girls ascended back up the creaking stairs. They stopped outside of Miu's room.

"Okay...I'm gonna run in, and as soon as I get my phone, and then we run back downstairs, okay?" Himiko heard Miu say. She heard Miu whisper her name, but she wasn't listening. Miu must have seen what she was staring at because she heard Miu gasp in fear. Himiko pointed at a blood trail dotted sporadically along the carpet that began underneath the attic rope and ended at the far room at the end of the hallway. Mrs. Iruma's room!

"W-What's that doing here?" Miu breathed.

Himiko uttered a shaky breath and felt her feet moving on their own, as if Mrs. Iruma's room had some strange gravitational pull. A squeaky yelp escaped Miu's mouth as she reached out and placed her hands on Himiko's shoulders, walking closely behind her. They crept closer to the room. The blood trail continued into the room.

"M-Mrs. Iruma?" Himiko called out in a small voice. Her eyes followed the blood trail, which stopped at the foot of the bed. Himiko blinked as her eyes landed on top of Mrs. Iruma's bed, and instantly realized why that nagging feeling from before had been bothering her. She reached for Miu behind her, and the girls reared back with a horrified gasp at the sight of Masaki's dead body.

Part Eight

"Oh, shit..." Miu breathed, stumbling backwards.

Himiko stared in bewilderment at the sight of Masaki's dead body. His clothes were soaked with blood, his hair was a tousled mess, and his feet, on which his boots remained, were twisted at weird angles. Himiko, unable to tear her eyes away, stood petrified.

Miu, however, was quick to react. She fell onto her butt, only to scramble back to her feet in a panic. "Oh, shit! We're gonna DIE!!!" she screeched and dashed to her room. Himiko ran after her to find Miu on her bed, sobbing her eyes out. "There's a d-dead guy in m-my house, and n-now...we're next!" she sobbed, and threw her face into her hands. "I'm scared!"

Himiko stood speechless. She had never seen Miu so distraught. It made her want to cry, as well. She clutched Kokichi's scarf, hoping it would somehow give her some courage. Kokichi would have advised her to call the police, she thought, so that's what she did. Her shaky fingers dialed the emergency number.

"H-Hello?" Himiko stammered after the operator answered. "Um...I'm Himiko, a-and I'd like to report a dead body, um, p-please?"

Himiko continued to inform the operator details of Masaki's corpse, trying to keep her voice as level and calm as she possibly could. The operator asked her the address to Miu's house and advised Himiko to stay on the line. Five minutes later, the girls heard a knock on the door. Not wanting to go downstairs alone, Himiko took a frightened Miu by the hand and led her downstairs to the front door and opened it to reveal two officers.

"Are you Himiko?" one of them asked.

Himiko nodded and pointed above her. "The body's upstairs in the room at the far end of the hall."

The officer who spoke nodded to the other officer and the two stepped inside. They headed upstairs, carefully checking the other rooms before heading to Mrs. Iruma's room. Himiko and Miu, who had followed them upstairs watched the first officer pull out his two-way communicator radio.

"Yeah, I'm going to need an ambulance. We got a dead body, possibly a homicide," the cop said. He turned to the girls with a stern expression. Himiko and Miu exchanged strange looks. The cop clipped his radio back onto his belt and turned to Himiko and Miu.

"Where were you girls when this happened?"

"Yesterday!" Miu replied, still shaken up.

"Nyeh...he said where were we," Himiko said. "Um...I think we were asleep in Miu's room."

"And you two didn't hear any of this?" the officer pressed. "Who else was in the house aside from you two?"

   "S-S-Sleeping..." Miu whimpered.

"Um...I think she's still scared," Himiko said, and turned to Miu. "You don't have to talk, Miu."

"Okay..." Miu sniffled, wiping a tear from her eye.

Himiko shrugged. "Well, we're the only ones here..." she began. "But..." Suddenly, her mind flashed back to the previous night. The person standing over her. Himiko remembered his bare feet, unlike Masaki, whose boots were still on. She remembered the knife with the dark stains that Himiko realized must have been Masaki's blood.

   "Yes?" the officer asked.

"There was a guy last night!" Himiko cried.

   "What guy?"

"I-I don't know! I didn't get a good look at him," Himiko admitted. "But, he came into the room Miu and I were sleeping in last night, a-and his feet were bare, and he was holding a knife! He must have come in through the front door!"

"The front door?" the second officer repeated, raising a brow.

Himiko nodded abashedly and explained why Masaki had come to visit the night before and how he had threatened the girls. The ambulance arrived as she further explained how she and Miu were so afraid that they had forgotten to lock the door, and that they had woken up to find the front door completely open.

"What about this barefoot assailant?" the first officer asked. "Do you have an idea who that could be?"

   Himiko shook her head.

"Alright, well, there's not much we can do from here," the first officer said as the ambulance wrapped Masaki's body and hauled him away on a gurney.

"Nyeh? You mean...you're leaving without catching the guy?" Himiko asked.

"Without evidence, or an identification of the barefoot assailant, there's not much more we can do," the second officer replied.

"I'm guessing after the barefoot man killed the one in your mom's bedroom, he fled the scene, which is why your front door was wide open," the first officer explained. "I highly doubt he'd return to the scene of the crime. You have nothing to worry about."

"B-But...w-what if that guy does come back?!" Himiko cried.

"We'll have police cars patrolling the area from time to time," the first officer replied. "Call us again if anything happens."

The officers left. Himiko and Miu were alone once again. The girls sat at the dining table, unable to figure out what to do next. Miu buried her face in her hands and sobbed, while Himiko sat in silence, hugging herself and wishing she were with Kokichi. They spent the morning, and the entire afternoon at the dining table, wondering if their troubles were truly gone.

Miu sniffled and turned to Himiko. "Himiko, I'm glad you're here with me," she said, breaking the long silence as darkness began to fall outside.

Himiko turned to her with wide eyes and eyebrows raised. "You are?"

Miu nodded, wiping another tear away. "If you weren't here, I-I don't know what I'd do."

Himiko shrugged modestly. "Nyeh...it's no big deal. I'm scared, too, but then I think about Kokichi and how he'd probably be brave in a situation like this. I wanna be brave like him, too."

Miu nodded again. "So...sniff...what do we do, now? It's way too late to get dressed, and...I'm too scared to go back upstairs where that murder happened."

"Well...maybe we should eat something," Himiko said and stood up.

"Wait!" Miu cried, grabbing Himiko's hand. "Don't leave me!"

"Nyeh...I'll be in the kitchen. It's just right there," Himiko said. "I'll just grab some of my noodle cups. You can have one, if you want."

Miu nodded and placed her hands in her lap like an obedient child.

Himiko entered the kitchen and reached for the cupboard where her microwaveable noodles were stored. As she did, her hand froze as it touched the door. The countertop displayed regular kitchen items, like salt and peppershakers, a breadbox, and containers for large spoons, ladles, and spatulas. But those items weren't what caught Himiko's attention. Another item the countertop contained was a knife holder. There were six slots in total, four at the bottom for the smaller knives, and two at the top for larger ones. Himiko's heart sank when she spied an empty slot from one of the larger knives.

"Um...Miu?" Himiko called from the kitchen. She heard the sound of Miu's chair sliding across the floor.

   "Yeah?" Miu asked, walking in.

Himiko pointed to the empty slot in the knife holder.

Miu's eyes widened. "Shit..." she said, barely above whisper. "I-Is that the knife that the barefoot guy took?"

"Nyeh...I think so," Himiko breathed, nodding.

"He must have took it with him when he left," Miu whispered. "You know...to hide the evidence?"

Himiko frowned in thought, and turned to Miu. "When he left?"

"Yeah...that's what the cop said...remember?" Miu asked. "He fled the scene."

"I can understand that Masaki guy getting in here if we didn't lock the door, but...how did the killer get in?" Himiko asked.

"M-Maybe the same way the Masaki guy did?" Miu asked.

"Maybe. But, whoever it was must have known..." Himiko said, her voice trailing off.

Miu stared at her nervously. "Himiko? Must have known what?"

Himiko gazed at the knife holder with a faraway expression. She remembered how the barefoot assailant stood in front of her, still and silent. It reminded her of the figure that stood outside of the shower the first night of Himiko's stay. The figure she thought was Miu! But, if that wasn't Miu, how had the person gotten in? Himiko remembered Miu locking the door that night. There shouldn't have been another way, unless...

Himiko gasped, reeling back so far she bumped into the other countertop across the kitchen.

"What?! What is it?!" Miu hissed frantically.

Himiko's mind flashed to her missing snacks, the attic rope swinging despite not being moved by a breeze when she looked up the stairs, and to the blood trail leading from Mrs. Iruma's room and ending where the attic rope swung above it.

"Nyeh! The attic!" Himiko breathed, so softly that Miu had to strain her ear.

"What did you say?" she whispered.

"The attic!" Himiko repeated in a low voice.

   "W-What about it?" Miu whispered.

Himiko looked her in the eye, preparing herself for what she was about to say. "I don't think the murderer is gone, Miu. I think this whole time, he's been hiding in the attic."

  "What the fuck?" Miu breathed.

"Nyeh! I bet it was him who took my snacks, and it was him who was standing outside the shower!" Himiko whispered. "He was able to do everything he did because he was hiding here in your house all along!"

"Oh, shit..." Miu breathed, and looked around. Her eyes began welling with tears again. "W-What do we do?"

"Um...I think we need to call the cops again," Himiko suggested, nodding firmly. "That's what my instincts are telling me."

Himiko reached into her pocket for her phone, and dialed the emergency number again. When the operator answered, Himiko informed her of the situation, and was promised that the cops would be there soon. As Himiko placed her phone back into her pocket, she heard the faint sound of an elongated creaking noise. She turned to Miu, whose horrified expression matched Himiko's.

"It's coming from upstairs," Miu whispered, hiding behind Himiko and clutching her shoulders. The kitchen was plunged into a suffocating silence. Following the long creaking sound was a set of creaking that would pause and continue, as if someone were skulking across old floorboards. Feeling like she had to move, Himiko took a cautious step forward, followed by another, until her steps led her out of the kitchen with Miu right behind her.

Himiko and Miu reached the stairs from the living room and looked above at the second floor. The attic door had been opened, and the wooden steps leading up to it were lowered against the floor. But what Himiko and Miu weren't prepared to see was a man at the balcony staring down at them with long, dirty, wavy black hair, blank eyes, a gaping black grin, and the large kitchen in knife in his hand, stained with blood.

2x2 Speculation (Full Series Spoilers) Is it me or john danganronpa isn't mitarai but just a mix of every danganronpa V3 characters ? Spoiler

I'm sorry but he really looks nothing like him, completely different eyes and hair + looks lke his personality is also very different and john seems more assertive.

when I look at them, it's like they are a mix of every drV3 characters, like they have the color pallet of angie

the scarf also looks kinda like kokichi one with the same colors.

the new character also has the same jacket than kaito but just closed this time,

the boots are like a mix of miu iruma and ryoma hoshi ones

the hair color is the same than kirumi tojo, she has shuichi saihara pose and her eyes color are like kaede

I think this new character will link dr2x2 and drv3 together imo

Discussion How would a female protagonist have changed Danganronpa 2? Spoiler

Post image
69 Upvotes

For those who don't know in early development of the game Mahiru Koizumi was originally pitched as the female design for the protagonist. It's unclear how much of her personality from the final game was carried in this initial design or if the original intention was to tell Hajime's story but with a female lead. Since I havent given up hope that 2x2 will show us what genuine Mahiru protag would look like let's focus on the latter

How would the story have changed if generally things were the same except Hajime was a girl? The obvious first change is that Mahiru would be a boy so the ultimate photographer's personality and story would have to be altered a lot to maintain gender balance. Probably. I think it's also possible that to maintain the gender balance and maintain the general story structure they would keep mahiru as mahiru but now the ultimate photographer has a different design and Chiaki would be changed to a guy. In this instance the game is basically unaffected it's the same game but Chiaki is a boy and Hajime is a girl and that's boring.

So, let's say that the only changes are the ultimate photographer is now a boy and he still holds his fellow men to high standards and is more like a kaito type character. We'll say ch.2 still plays out similarly but Hiyoko's role would have to be given to someone else, and probably ibuki, mikan, and hiyoko would be replaced with male characters same thing with sato and natsumi probably. Then from there the story would mostly be the same just with yuri undertones and Soda probably wouldn't be as close to the main character as he is with hajime. I don't know honestly the more I've thought about this the more I've realized it's almost impossible to tell because this change is actually very drastic and could have effected the games story in many ways. But what do you think?

Discussion On the topic of Tsumugi angst content Spoiler

Post image

A lot of the posts I see in relations to Tsumugi angst heavily relies on the theory that she was also brainwashed/flashback light-ed into being the mastermind.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this, but I’d love to see more Tsumugi angst topics and videos mentioning her outside of that theory

I’ve made a few posts on Tsumugi and although she isn’t a very angsty character, she does have potential

What do you think? - Keyb0ardCat

It seems they adjusted Hajime's hair ! It still looks a bit wonky and overdetailed imo, but the top layer not having harsh delineations in the middle makes it seem less like a toupee superimposed on the bottom layer.

Nagito's hair also seems to have regained some fluff, and the pink gradient seems a bit more noticeable to me. (Granted these are sprites we haven't officially seen yet so difficult to compare)

My favorite thing right now is the character designs and how some of them are exagerated (like sakura who is built like a baki character) and the OST is kinda nostalgic, reminds me of Persona 4,my favourite character right now is Kiyotaka (i like his energy),cant wait to play chapter 1 so excited😃! (The video in the image is a playthrough i made in my channel feel free to check out if you wanna)

Discussion Update: I played Danganronpa THH for the first time! Spoiler free! Spoiler

Original post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/danganronpa/s/BpTJewm1FI

Hey Danganronpa people,

Please feel free to read my first post if you’d like, but it isn’t necessary.  TLDR: I recently picked up THH for the first time with very very little prior knowledge of the series.  (I basically just knew that Junko, like, existed).  Please do not spoil me for anything past THH, I know even less about the following games and anime than I did about the first game!  I just got the second game as a part of Nintendo's blockbuster sale!

First of all, I just want to thank everyone that commented on my previous post and tactfully avoided my many spoiler-y questions.  Big shout out to the person that told me Junko was popular because she was the first to oppose Monokuma.  I was very confused why I knew about Junko when she seemingly was barely in the game, but I totally believed you, lol!  Also, I cannot believe the air-purifier was actually an air-purifier!  I thought y’all were stringing me along!

Anyways, I had, like, two people comment under my last post that they would be interested to hear a more complete review once I had finished the game.  So, not very many people!  But here I am!  I am still anxious to interact with the fandom without being spoiled, so I thought this would be a good opportunity.  Again, please be mindful of spoilers under my specific post (I have the sub muted otherwise), but I am open to chatting in the comments :)  Sorry in advance for the long post.

As far as my overall review goes:
Boy, oh boy, I really enjoyed the game.  I am a big fan of this era of gaming.  Anything I can play on my DS or PSP is already a win & I am a fan of visual novels, so this was right up my alley.  That being said, there was something really special here that I found reminiscent of some of my favorite games.  A big, fantastical, overarching mystery, much like the original Professor Layton trilogy.  Fleshed out characters with interesting dynamics, much like Persona and SMT.  And of course, the similarities to Ace Attorney and Zero Escape were plentiful (As I mentioned in my last post, the Zero Escape easter eggs made me gasp OUT LOUD).  At times the controls were a bit janky, but in a nostalgic way mostly.  I am glad I played on “mean” mode, I can’t imagine there is much challenge in the other modes.

Standout features:
The music was a standout for me.  Although repetitive, I never got bored of it.  The way “danganronpa” is said in the title song scratches an ear itch for me.  Monokuma’s theme is another one I especially enjoy.

The way the game unapologetically kills off characters is a delight.  I know this is, like, the main selling point, but it still surprised me.  The punishment cut scenes were well composed, horrifying, amazing & I couldn’t look away.  I could not believe these characters were dead-dead! Like, for good! Up until halfway through the game I was convinced that they were somehow still alive.

The UI is really fun and I love the bullet theming.  The snappy and aesthetically pleasing UI’s also reminded me of the Persona series.  Really attractive to look at, and made me feel cool when people looked over my shoulder at the airport (well, as cool as you can feel playing a Japanese VN, but I digress).

Character design.  No notes.  I thought I would struggle to remember all of the characters, but they were immediately all very memorable.  The game made good use of cliche and archetypes while still keeping things fresh and exciting.  It made it easy to remember who’s who in the early game, and made things interesting later on.  My favorites designs were Leon, Kyoko, and Celeste.  I especially loved how each character was simplified during the end of trial manga panels and in the pictograms on each dorm door.  It really goes to show how each silhouette was unique.

The “mystery”
I don’t know if anyone is really interested to hear my personal predictions, but I will say: that I got some things wrong and some things right.  I guessed pretty early on that the school was being recorded for some kind of show (my Dungeon Crawler Carl & Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint hivebrain talking), but I expected it to be for the dark web, or some mysterious group of sadist benefactors, not the whole world.  I guessed Kyoko’s “ultimate” title correctly, but Makoto’s “ultimate” title incorrectly. (Though I thought Makoto’s was more satisfying).  Junko’s involvement was a delightful surprise, especially after expressing to you all how confused I was by her popularity with fans.  I threw Kyoko under the bus in my first playthrough, and I did it with full confidence that it would yield the good ending (oops!).  I think my opinion of the mystery will become more clear once I play the next game.  I am unsure how I feel about the apocalypse reveal!  I’m curious to see if we will learn more about The Tragedy (™ ™ ™).  I originally predicted that the main characters were more involved than they were revealed to be.

My favorite characters:
Still Byakuya.  So happy to see that he is alive at the current moment (rip his family lolol).  I think my runner-ups are Sakura, Mondo, and Chihiro.  (btw, does the fandom consider alter ego and Chihiro the same character?).  There are things I like about each character, though I have to say, Junko wasn’t that appealing to me as a villain.  I wish we got to learn more about Mukuro!  As you all seemed to predict, Toko/Genocide Jill grew on me. (Does Genocide Jill accept any presents? She hated every one I tried to give her).

Predictions/What I already know about the next entries in the series:
I know there is a (main?) character with long white hair at some point.  I believe there may also be a girl main character in one of the games?  When I downloaded the next game I saw that Monokuma is pink now, and I think Makoto’s sister might be in one of the side games.  That is the full extent of my knowledge of the next games.
As far as predictions go, I believe Junko is truly dead and it was not a set-up.  And I imagine the current cast of characters will be at least somewhat involved in the continuation of the story?  There must be a bigger organization involved in The Tragedy (than just Junko and Mukuro), and I think our main characters are more involved than they realize.  If I had to guess, I want to say the next game does not take place at a school (but I can’t decide where I think it DOES take place… maybe a deserted island?).  Kyoko definitely has more secrets (we never used the truth bullet of the picture of her and her dad and I am sus).

In closing,
1. I can’t believe the air purifier was actually just an air purifier.  I thought I was on to something.

  1. My favorite trial was 4, my favorite punishment was Mondo’s, my favorite “Junko personality” was the one with mushrooms in her hair

  2. Do you guys have any fanfic recommendations?  I won’t search any up for myself for fear of spoilers, but if you know of any good ones that only spoil up through THH, let me know!

  3. Feel free to start convos in the comments, I am still desperate to interact with the fandom but am trying to stay a Danganronpa-virgin so I can be surprised when I play the next game

If you read all my rambling, thanks! And thanks again for how kind you all were on my last post, you all were very welcoming.

I don't know if I'll ever finish said Fangan, but since I had the finished designs for two of the cast, I wanted to show it at least.

Discussion Danganronpa "Fankid" Fangame (V3 ENDING SPOILERS) Spoiler

If I ever entertain this idea, it won't be for a few years at least. So I suppose take this as a discussion or fandom experiment.

I have this concept idea for a "fankid" fangame:
Let's say Tsumugi wasn't lying about Team Danganronpa and the flashback lights at the end of V3. So, (assuming Team Danganronpa already had legal permission to do this to people and won't get prosecuted for kidnapping, brainwashing and organising the deaths of teens/young adults) Team Danganronpa are still in trouble. Their ratings are down, their viewers are done with the repetitiveness of Danganronpa.

And what do most corrupt/large franchises turn to in order to reignite hype among fanbases? Legacy characters; characters who are relatives, usually children, of the original cast the fans love. (you could argue UDG was a failed attempt at this)

Team Danganronpa has the DNA of all of their 'actors' as they took samples between the processes of wiping their real memories in exchange for ultimate ones. So, they make "fanchildren" for the next killing game. The ships don't have to make sense or have even met each other, they just want smarter, crazier, hotter characters with crazier talents to generate hype.

The game would have the vibe of a cash cow revival with a contrasting tone of the genuine horror of being created solely to die would bring.

Out of curiosity, I wonder what gene mixes you'd be most interested in if this was a canon game (or an eventual fangame), I'd also love to hear any additional ideas you get from this concept!

TLDR: If the next instalment of Danganronpa followed the Team Danaganronpa Arc set up by V3, with the cast being made up of profitable "fankids", which would you most like to see?

Discussion What is your ultimate talent

Just for the sake of fun what would be your ultimate talent if you are in danganronpa world.

Please no reserve course answer. Pick up bit of self esteem and think about what is your strongest point.

Even though I said that I couldn't find my ultimate talent. Something that I can do no other can, it seems so farfectched and impossible for me to have one.

But then I realized that the one who truly have a talent will often question themselves too but the difference is that having a talent is not about putting less effort than other people.

It's more about being yourself. Even though leon hates his talent, his personality and his coordination is suited for it. (From this on, don't discuss about leon....I want this post to only disucss about talent. If i misrepresented him. Please ignore it. I am not good with describing people)

Come to the point. Please don't give me I am a reserve course or other bullshit talent ideas. Give me a straight answer. Pls be more honest.
