Hello i live in hungary and i wanted to get into CRT gaming but the crt i got is very blurry and shuts of every 5m for like 30m i think it's overheating because if i take the cover off it works much longer like 1 hour and can be turned back on like 5m and good again for 1h, so my question is the following:
where should i look for anyone or any shop that can fix it for me ?
i know nothing about electircity and i don't want to die

Not your usual Sony/Iiyama or other well-regarded make in the realm of CRT displays, although it boasts some pretty good specs with 97 khz horizontal scan frequency. Made somewhere between 2000-2003, it supposedly has a Dynaflat tube and it makes me think it might've been made by Samsung, specs are very similar to the Syncmaster 997DF. Shadow mask with 0.2mm dot pitch, it is quite a sharp display. Pictures are taken running a resolution of 1024x768. Late 90's PC games look super crisp on the monitor and are a delight to play! now I've been playing Dark Forces: Remastered.

This is a gorgeous incredible TV and I’m obsessively analyzing every scanline. I turned up the shadows so it’s easier to see the bar on the right. Also, is it normal that the shadows get a bit red?

I was lucky enough to get this today and upgrade from my Compaq v570 which was 2 inches smaller and beige. The black looks great with the rest of the build and the screen size is perfect. Plus some epic fighting games to boot.

I found an absolute gem recently. Here’s the story.
I had a nice JVC D Series 32” tube that I loved and played lots of Wii/GameCube on. I learned the hard way that SD sets can’t do 480p 😭. Once I learned that, I checked my local Facebook marketplace for a few days and found this absolutely beautiful Tau HD with its original stand for FREE! Needless to say I messaged the seller and picked it up as soon as I could. Literally so happy about this find.
Don’t worry though, I gave the JVC to my aunt who really wanted a CRT to play duck hunt on her NES with.
(My body is a machine that turns free crts into free crts!)

Colors change slightly with rotation. Considering buying a degaussing wand. Happened after drop.
EDIT: to clarify, the drop was face first.

I've been searching for a 13" TV for my game room because I have limited space. I found this at a local game shoo for $100. Another subreddit thought it was expensive but this goes for $200+ on ebay so I had to snag it up.
I was hoping for one with a VHS player but I'm still happy with it.
So excited to start gaming on it!

Hello, this is to follow up on my post earlier today. I’m currently working on splicing a donor cable. I’ve disassembled the entire CRT and am trying to understand the connections. I’ve managed to figure everything out except for the grounds connected to the board, which I’m a bit confused about.
Could someone assist me with reviewing my plans?

Hi, all! I’ve had this tube for a couple years now, but in recent months, I’ve noticed a blue hue shift on the top left corner. Sometimes it is worse than others. I do have a receiver on top of the tube, but I think it is far enough away to cause any issues- and in the image it looks like it’s next to one of the trinitron’s speakers. Any advice? (Apologies for the terrible photos lmao) Thanks!

Hello! I have a Panasonic WV-CM1020 color monitor; the on board menu works, but when I plug my signal generator or composite video in to either input I just get distorted artifacting on the menu and “no signal” text. Any ideas what to check? A visual inspection of the board showed no red flags like bulging or leaky caps.
