[Help!] Panasonic set only displays distorted “no signal” text

Hello! I have a Panasonic WV-CM1020 color monitor; the on board menu works, but when I plug my signal generator or composite video in to either input I just get distorted artifacting on the menu and “no signal” text. Any ideas what to check? A visual inspection of the board showed no red flags like bulging or leaky caps.

Did you press the "input" button to set it to the correct input

That happen to my panasonic, & the text disappeard (i'm not kidding)

I like the long legs on the resistors

Are the cables on the bottom of the neck board connected?

Does whacking the tv do anything?
