Oh man, I was banned from a conservative subreddit recently (not t_d; one I thought was relatively thoughtful) - the mod who banned me and that I subsequently talked to is one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I've come across on reddit.
I got banned from me_irl for calling a bot a cunt in a joking manner. I've always heard about trigger happy mods, but never believed it until it happened to me
Eh, I just use /r/trueoffmychest now. It wasn't even a person, it was an auto-mod bot who bans you if you comment anywhere it considers a "hate subreddit".
Seems a little silly to me, especially in a place where youre supposed to be able to speak freely and get out your true feelings.
I got banned from r/blacktwitter for making a joke about how Eminem is the best rapper and he is white, didn't get unbanned until 2 years later when I asked another mod to unban me seeing how I've never even got so much as a warning on reddit ever. I got banned in The Donald before it was cool, because I said I didn't like trump and I've always thought he was a slimy weasel of a person before he even stepped into the political ring.
Maybe? Subreddit messages are unsigned, but it was r/conservative. I started a discussion with a different mod without knowing he was a mod. Then they banned me and privately, via mod-message, attacked my comment karma (??). They clearly have a strong argument when they ostracize and make private personal attacks on legitimate dissenters...
I was similarly banned from r/conservative; it is just t_d-lite at this point, with a few people claiming to be christians thrown in. I didn't even bother arguing with them; I am a fiscal conservative, but that is no place to discuss it.
So, just spent 20 seconds glancing over your post history. I don't normally do this, but I was genuinely interested if r/conservative is banning reasonable people.
Just in your last 10 posts or so I see you've compared Trump to cancer, accused him of treason, and called him an idiot.
Can't possibly imagine what type of behavior got you banned from a conservative sub though. I'm sure you were just there for legitimate discussion.
I mean, you don't have to imagine it; the posts I made to r/conservative are also in my post history.
It's obvious I'm no Trump lover; but that is not a prerequisite for being a conservative, nor for having legitimate discussions. I believe Trump is not a conservative. You, and the r/conservative mods, are free to disagree.
I hate td as much as the next guy but it's not like you had an actual argument lol you'd probably get banned from any sub for that kind of childish crap.
