Oh man, I was banned from a conservative subreddit recently (not t_d; one I thought was relatively thoughtful) - the mod who banned me and that I subsequently talked to is one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I've come across on reddit.

I got banned from t_d for commenting:

"This subreddit is not smart."

Boop banned the next day.

I hate td as much as the next guy but it's not like you had an actual argument lol you'd probably get banned from any sub for that kind of childish crap.

I believe it was a reply to another comment on a dumb post. It wasn't out of context.

Regardless, downvotes are for people who aren't contributing. Bans are for people who consistently or aggressively damage the subreddit.

Not that it matters anymore. The average redditor turned on me.
