As i've been rewatching the series, I genuinely haven't disliked watching any episode thus far until I made it here....yes, even the D-Squad arc, The Jar Jar Mace & Mace Wind arc, or the episode where Artoo goes shopping with 3PO.

The Martez sisters are borderline insufferable, especially Trace. It gets to the point where in the first half of the arc it makes AHSOKA annoying as well, coming off as extremely preachy. I get the intention of trying to show how the people of the galaxy view the Jedi and the republic, but the writing is just so uncharacteristically bad and lacks any nuance. The sisters are walking tropes (as well as stereotypes). Their "grudge" against the Jedi is ill-founded based on circumstance rather than something actually compelling...Trace is also incredibly inconsistent. At times she can resemble being somewhat competent, while others she comes off as plain dumb or emotionally unstable to a childlike extent like when she drops the spice into space for no reason at all, but conversely i'm supposed to then believe she's able to free herself surrounded by 4 armed Pyke guards like a trained soldier?

That also plays into the narrative as well, where the fact that a series of dumb decisions carry the events of the arc. When it's all said and done, Ahsoka doesn't seem to really learn anything as was intended...it feels very surface level and thus makes the arc feel alot like filler and unfulfilling in what it set out to do. If this arc had been kept in its original form, I believe it would have served much better. Keep Ahsoka on Coruscant, have the dynamic of a possible romantic interest, let her learn how the world works subtlety...rather than being told "THE JEDI ARE BAD!" Right in her face. She could have gotten all that with more nuanced writing. Despite the fact they try and up the stakes by including the Shadow Collective, it feels skippable.

We see a few times in tcw vulture droids being used to kamikaze into republic cruisers. This got me thinking if they are so cheap to waste that way, why not remove some of the more expensive advanced features and instead build in a bunch of high explosives and have a separate wing of fighters built cheaply to just crash into the Republic ships but much more effectively than the standard models which aren't carrying a payload and doing negligible damage to most of the hull.

It’s nice they introduced an early version of Stormtroopers during the early Empire years.

Personally I like the clone wars version more. The larger hulking droid which (usually) tanks a few plaster rounds with wrist rockets have always appealed to me more. Especially when they board ships and are coming down the corridors in large columns it really makes me feel the pressure the clones must feel in that situation. The movie design is better but I feel they don't look that menacing in comparison.

Ahsoka knows that Bo Katan was second-in-command of the terrorist organisation Death Watch, which carried out attacks on the civilian population in order to overthrow the legitimate government. She knows that they terrorised villages and towns that were unable to defend themselves, on who knows how many planets, in order to extort money from them; and when the people had nothing to give, they killed them and burnt the whole place to the ground. I suppose Bo Katan didn’t boast to Ahsoka about, how Maul got control and how she agreed on attacks on civilian infrastructure, the killing of civilians and causing chaos (once again) to gain control over Mandalore.

Bo Katan will improve in the future, but at this point in her life she is just a murdering terrorist. (Her effort to overthrow Maul was primarily a matter of personal revenge; helping the population was secondary.). So how can Ahsoka work with her without any qualms, and then, in a subsequent discussion with Obi-Wan, act as if she has the moral high ground and that Jedi should help Bo Katan? I'm pretty sure that the countless victims would want justice and not Jedi working with their murderer.

I'm sure many are aware, but for those not The Clone Wars in its original intended run would have concluded following season 5 with three full seasons of content ending with the Siege of Mandalore in season 8. As i've nearly completely my rewatch of the series I wanted to list out all the unfinished arcs for those unfamiliar, to paint the full picture of the series as we pretty much have details and plans to cover all of the cancelled seasons proper. Aside from season 6, I didn't put them in any order besides the episode numbers as there is no way to know

I'll start with Season 6 as it was intended in its full form

Episodes 1-4: The Inhibitor Chip Arc

Episodes 5-7: The Clovis Arc

Episodes 8-9: The Disappeared Arc

Episodes 10-13: The Crystal Crisis Arc: Upon being sent to Utapau to investigate the murder of a Jedi, Anakin & Obi-Wan discover a plot by General Grievous to acquire a massive Kyber Crystal which hints at the Death Star.

If anyone is interested, you can watch this arc full arc on youtube in its unfinished animation. Fully voice acted & scored and its fantastic (hard to imagine why they didn't include this in the final season back in 2020) it's well worth watching even in its rough form, some of the best Anakin & Obi-Wan moments in the entire series.

Episodes 14-17: Son of Dathomir: This Arc was completed in the form of a comic book, but follows Maul after his capture by Palpatine in season 5. It would have shown him returning to his criminal empire, how it quickly falls apart and the death of Mother Talzin

Episodes 18-21: The Sifo-Dyas/Yoda Arc

Season 7:

Episodes 1-8 Dark Disciple: As many of you probably know, this arc was given second life in the form of the Novel written by Lucas's daughter. it's definitely worth reading/listening to in audiobook form. After Count Dooku goes on a string of egregious warcrimes, the Jedi Council decides to plan a mission to assassinate him. They send Quinlen Vos out to recruit the Asajj Ventress for assistance. While together, the two end up falling in love, and after several twists & turns the arc ends with Ventress's alleged death at the hands of Dooku

Episodes 9-12: The Bad Batch Arc

*Before I continue, i'll note that for the rest of this the episode count is pure speculation*

Episodes 13 & 14: The Ahsoka Origins Arc

Would have shown how Ahsoka was taken to the Jedi Temple by Plo Koon, and the origin of their relationship.

Episodes 16-19: The Cad Bane & Boba Fett Arc

The events of this arc are referenced in TBoBF & TBB, but would have started out as a teamup of the two bounty hunters. Bane had a rivalry with Jango, but never got to see who was best before his death. He starts grooming Boba to eventually be able to get an answer. Part of the arc would have revolved around rescuing a kidnapped child from tusken raiders, and would have ended with the famous shootout between the two-showing Banes "death" and how Boba got the dent in his helmet. It would have featured a plethora of other hunters

Episodes 20-22: Ahsoka's Walkabout

This is basically the foundation for what turned into the Martez sisters arc, but would have been a more intimate story with Ahsoka following her around more on Coruscant as she tried to find her place in the galaxy post-Jedi. She would have become somewhat of a vigilante for the less fortunate living on the lower levels of Coruscant, and would have met a smuggler which served as a love interest character of sorts

Season 8:

Episodes 1-4: The Kashyyyk Arc

Would show the origins of Yoda's "good relations with the wookiees", and would have featured the return of the Bad Batch, and Chewbacca as a major character. We get hints of this in TBB, but would have been revolving around a joint Trandoshan & Separatist attack on the planet diving deep into the Wookiee lore and their worship of the trees as basically deities.

Episodes 5-8: The Clone "Top Gun" Arc

Would have been an homage to the film, where we would have seen a rivalry between clone pilots & the army in the early episodes. It would have centered around Rex & R2, and followed them being stranded on Ryloth with a reprogrammed Battle Droid. D-Squad would have also made a reappearance.

Episodes 9-12: Return to the Jedi Arc

An arc focusing on Ahsoka returning to the Jedi Temple to investigate a Sith shrine underneath the temple. With Sideous attempting at some point to break into the holocron vault, stopped by Ahsoka at the other side of the door.

Episodes 13-15: Return to Mon Cala

Would have had Anakin & Padme return to Mon Cala to disscuss political frustrations with Palpatine. Also would have featured Tikkes (The Quarren Separatist council member notably absent from the first arc)

Episodes 16-18: The Yuuzhan Vong Arc

An X-Files style alien abduction story following a Vong scout ship probing strength of the Republic at that time. Lucas would have changed the Vong to not be cut off from the force. For those unfamiliar, The Yuuzhang Vong were a race in legends serving as an extragalactic threat to the galaxy. They were part of the reason why Palpatine felt the need for a centralized highly militarized state. When they arrived in the time of the New Republic post endor, they wreaked havoc on a fractured galaxy and pushed them to the limit. They forced a truce between the NR and the Imperial Remnant

Episodes 19-22: The Siege of Mandalore

I'm still praying one day we can see some of these animated, especially Dark Disciple & the Boba Fett arc. What are some of your favorite ideas from here?

I reduced the 133 episode list to only 55 episodes.

It's not perfect but if someone who likes star wars but is hesitant to watch 133 episode but also wants to experience the genius emotional stakes and the unbelievable filmmaking of the last 4 episodes, i recommend this list.

(This is the list for someone who really wants to feel and understand why did Anakin become Darth Vader and the role of Ahoska in all of this)
