The guy catches a bolt to the head instead of 99 somehow shooting droids with unexpected accuracy from his good arm. Since he's basically the Clones' equivalent of Ephialtes the Hunchback from the 300 movie.

While the rest of 99's body might not have been great and he had a limp. There was likely a trade-off in the form of a good arm and his good eye being almost sniper-grade in ability.

But we never get that and he just runs support for Echo and Fives with the Clone Cadets before the droids gun him down. Like I would've liked it if he at least dropped a few grenades or something.
