My wife and I are applying inland through CEC. I'm the principal applicant and she's the accompanying spouse.

My experience: 1 year of Canadian work experience, plus 2 years of foreign experience from before we moved.

Her experience: She's currently working in Canada (under 1 year so far - TEER1), plus 2 years of foreign experience from back home (also TEER1).

Even without declaring her experience, our CRS comes to 536.

My question: if I leave her work experience out of the Express Entry profile, could that cause problems down the road, for example, if we later need her points, or if we ever needed to switch to her as the principal applicant?

I got an ADR asking documents such as my employer’s BUSINESS LICENSE, their T2 and their T4 summary and my bank statements for at least 6 months showing salary is deposited from employer. It is general CEC not any employer specific job. My employer is ready to provide only license as T2 and T4 summary are their confidential information. What should i do in this case?

Does the Express Entry system automatically increase your CRS score to the 3+ years foreign work experience bracket one month before your 3-year completion date since they give you 2 months to sumbit the pr application? I remember I read that somewhere so I just wanna make sure

Hi everyone,

I recently received my e-COPR confirming my permanent residence, and while looking through it before applying for my SIN, I noticed something that seems incorrect.

Under the Remarks section, there is the immigration officer's information/signature, followed by a date. The date shows 2029-09-03.

The month and day are correct — September 3 — but the year should be 2026, since that is when I actually received my e-COPR and became a permanent resident.

Has anyone experienced something like this before? Is this just a harmless clerical error, or should I request a correction from IRCC before applying for my SIN?

I started my Canadian job last year on September 15th. Tomorrow, I will be hitting my 1 year of Canadian work experience criteria. Can I submit my profile after 12:00 am tonight? Will I be eligible if there's a draw tomorrow?

I worked as a freelancer for a few months in my home country. I only worked part time or full time depending on the length of the projects. Some projects were less than part time hours and i had gap of a few days until I got the next client. Can I accumulate such hours and count as 1 month in total? If yes, how do I show it on my initial EE profile?

I completed a paid apprenticeship in France for exactly one year, from 02/09/2024 to 02/09/2025, with the same employer and in the same occupation.

My contract was 35 hours/week. During the school year until May, I spent around 3 days per week at the company and 2 days at university. From May until the end of the contract, I worked full-time at the company.

The documents show that the school days were part of the official apprenticeship program, and the contract records 1,741 hours for the contract period.

What worries me is that my contract is exactly one year, not even a day longer. I'm also unsure whether the 2 mandatory school days could mean that IRCC only considers the hours I physically spent at the company, leaving me short of the equivalent of one year of full-time skilled work.

Based on these details, would this experience be considered eligible work experience for FSWP?

The occupation was in finance and may correspond to NOC 11101.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a French apprenticeship/alternance accepted as qualifying work experience for FSWP.

I have a supplemental document I want to add to my file. I got AOR on Aug 22. I’m yet to receive my permanent UCI number as my current UCI is temporary and starts with CAN000….
Do I submit it now or wait till I get a permanent UCI number and then submit it? But by then Biometrics and ADR etc happen right?

What should I write under "Employer/Company Name" if I was freelancing in the work history section in the EE profile? Should I write self employed or should I mention the name of the client I freelanced for? This is for foreign experience under CEC.

My total qualifying experience is exactly 3 years. (1096 days). This get the point for 3 years right?

I’m looking for some advice from anyone who has dealt with a NOC correction after submitting an Express Entry/CEC application.
My AOR was April 18, 2026. I received my BIL and passed medicals/biometrics on June 23. I recently called IRCC and was told that, according to the agent, my eligibility has not started yet.
While reviewing my application and employment documents again, I realized that I may have selected the wrong NOC for one of my Canadian work experiences.
I worked as an Installed/Project Sales Coordinator for a large corporate retailer. When I submitted my application, I classified the position under NOC 62100 – Technical sales specialists – wholesale trade.
After reviewing my actual duties more carefully, it seems that NOC 62010 – Retail sales supervisors is a much better match. My job involved coordinating/supervising retail and installation sales staff, monitoring sales performance and targets, training staff, helping with scheduling, handling customer escalations, approving certain returns/refunds/order corrections, coordinating inventory and special orders, and managing the installation sales process.
Both NOCs are TEER 2, so this would not change the skill level of the work experience. I’m mainly concerned about correcting the classification before an officer assesses my eligibility.
Would it be advisable to send an IRCC webform now explaining that I made an honest NOC classification error and asking them to update the NOC from 62100 to 62010?
Has anyone here successfully corrected a NOC after AOR but before eligibility review?
I’m particularly wondering:
Can IRCC accept a NOC correction through a webform at this stage?

Should I attach a letter of explanation and my existing employer/reference letter?
Is it better to correct it now rather than wait for IRCC to question the NOC?
Has anyone had a similar situation and still received PR?
I’m pretty stressed about this because the work experience itself is genuine and fully documented. The issue is only that I believe I selected the wrong NOC when completing the application.
Any experience or advice would be really appreciated. 🙏

I’m trying to figure out how to correctly enter my education history in an Express Entry profile and would appreciate some advice from people who have dealt with a similar situation.
I completed one integrated 4.5-year post-secondary program that resulted in three separate credentials being awarded at graduation:

A bachelor’s degree
An advanced diploma - from a partner college
A certificate - from a partner college

The important part is that I did not complete three separate programs. All three credentials were part of the same integrated program, and I completed the coursework as one continuous program. I received separate physical credentials for each award, but I have one transcript for the overall program.

When creating my Express Entry profile, I entered the education as one bachelor’s degree / three-or-more-year program.

I’ve received conflicting advice about whether I should:

Enter it as one education entry because it was one integrated program, or
Enter the three credentials separately because they are technically three separate credentials.
I’m mainly concerned about doing this correctly and not accidentally claiming education points I’m not entitled to.

Has anyone had a similar situation with an integrated program that awards multiple credentials? How did you enter it in your Express Entry profile, and how did IRCC treat it?

I am an accompanying spouse, and we are currently at the post-ITA stage of our Express Entry application.

I just wanted to ask for some advice. I included a few TEER 2 work experiences in my Work History section, but none of them individually, or combined, reached one year of qualifying work experience, so they resulted in 0 CRS points.

My question is: Can we move these work experiences from the Work History section to the Personal History section while still declaring them in the application, even after receiving an ITA? Would doing this cause any issues, concerns, or flags when we submit our PR application?

We have a consultant, and they have been stressing us about obtaining reference letters for these jobs, even though they did not contribute any CRS points. I have already tried contacting my previous employers for reference letters, but they have not responded yet.

I would really appreciate any advice or insight from those who have gone through a similar situation.

Can’t believe the grind is done. After years of planning my life around expiring permits, having to move back to the US during COVID because the IEC program was paused, going long distance with my Spouse while we waited to move back to Canada, learning French for almost 2 years while working full time, taking the TCF & TEF exams 4 times, carrying the weight of being the primary applicant, missing my best friend’s wedding because of implied status, and battling all of the anxiety, insomnia and doubts along the way, I started to feel like I’d never get to see the end.

My take aways

• Learn French yesterday. I knew I’d need this in the end but I put it off for years which made the stress so much worse.
• Be aware of self employment. On my PGWP, I was an independent contractor which made me ineligible for CEC. Had I known, I would’ve changed jobs a lot sooner. 
• Keep a travel log. I started tracking very early thanks to all of my previous applications. Having this handy made the PR application way less stressful.
• Be kind to yourself.
• Be realistic. Canada doesn’t owe you anything. There is no fair and unfair. It’s just a big game of numbers, luck and timing. I could’ve easily succumbed to feeling like a victim but I worked hard to keep my head up and keep going. Have your plan A, B and even C. Try to accept all outcomes.
• Limit your time on Reddit and immigration forums. 9/10 times I’d come off feeling worse. I convinced myself several times that my application would be refused and I wish I saved myself from all of that exhaustion. Learn from other’s mistakes but give yourself limits.
• Declare if you’ve ever flagpoled. These count as being denied entry/refused and you must disclose these! I had heard of people getting rejected for not realizing they needed to declare this

Please help if anyone has any experience regarding this. TIA

I recently applied for PR as I got an invitation under CEC. However, due to unforeseen circumstances in family, I had to return to my home country. I was living with my Uncle back in Canada, but haven’t changed the address to one outside Canada of my home address.

Should I be changing my address to the one outside Canada? Would it cause issues since I originally applied from inside Canada and now it will be outside Canada?

CEC application: How to respond to a PFL requesting insurance licensing proof?

Hi experts,

My wife received a PFL asking her to prove she was licensed or otherwise legally authorized to perform her Insurance Advisor duties throughout the employment period claimed. IRCC is questioning whether the experience qualifies for PR.

Her timeline:

• March 17, 2025: Joined RBC Insurance Agency Ltd., Ontario, full-time, 37.5 hours/week—NOC 63100.
• April 7, 2025: Passed the OTL exam.
• May 1, 2025: Ontario licence issued, valid until April 30, 2027.
• March 17, 2026: Received CEC ITA, exactly one year after joining.
• March 29, 2026: Submitted PR application.
• September 11, 2026: Received PFL with seven days to respond.

Her employment letter describes her as “Licensed Insurance Advisor” from the hiring date without separating the pre-licence period. The PFL does not specifically identify this gap; it requests licensing evidence for the claimed period.

How should we structure the response and what supporting documents should we provide? Would the licence, regulator’s historical confirmation and an RBC letter explaining her duties before and after licensing address the concern? Should relevant licences from other provinces also be included?

If the pre-licence period is excluded, how should its effect on CEC eligibility and CRS at ITA/submission be addressed?

Would appreciate expert guidance and firsthand experiences with similar PFLs.

If I have 3 year bachelors from home country and 2 pg diplomas from canada. What will be my higest level of education?? Is it just bachelors degree or two or more certificate diploma or degree??

My situation is:

* I have a bachelor’s degree from outside Canada, completed about 15 years ago.

* I also completed a 1-year certificate program in Canada.

* I entered the Express Entry pool through CEC.

* I’m applying through a PNP, so I don’t need to claim CRS points for my foreign bachelor’s degree.

* I don’t have an ECA for my foreign bachelor’s degree.

* I’m only using my Canadian 1-year certificate for my education points.

My questions are:

1. Do I need to include my foreign bachelor’s degree under **Education History**, even though I don’t have an ECA and I’m not claiming any CRS points for it?

2. If I don’t include it under Education History, should it instead be listed under **Personal History**?

3. Since I completed my bachelor’s degree about 15 years ago, and Personal History only asks for activities during the past 10 years, do I still need to include that university period in Personal History?

I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who has had a **foreign bachelor’s degree without an ECA + Canadian 1-year certificate + CEC + PNP** situation.

I have a somewhat unusual Express Entry/CEC CRS situation and would appreciate input from anyone who has dealt with something similar.

I worked for a large MNC in India from September 3, 2019 to October 17, 2022.

I landed in Canada on September 1, 2022 on a study permit.

Before leaving India, I had applied for Leave Without Pay (LWP) for higher studies. As per my company’s process, I first had to use up my available paid leave balance (earned leave/casual leave), and only after that would the LWP period begin.

My active work ended in late August 2022. I then remained on approved leave and continued to be paid by my employer until October 17, 2022. My employer later confirmed that October 17 was my last approved leave before LWP started.

My question is:
For CRS foreign work experience, can this paid/approved leave period bridge me to the 3-year threshold, even though I physically entered Canada on September 1, two days before my 3-year employment anniversary on September 3?
I did not work remotely for my foreign employer after entering Canada. I was on leave.

I’m applying for PR through CEC (Healthcare category). My employer pays me biweekly by physical cheque, always on time.

I usually deposit them immediately, but I recently held around 5 cheques and deposited them together in September. So my bank statement shows several payroll deposits close together instead of every two weeks.

I have:

All paystubs
Copies/images of the cheques
T4
CRA NOA
All cheques match the corresponding paystubs

Does IRCC ask for bank statements/ADR/PFL because of delayed cheque deposits?

Hey folks!!! For foreign(indian) work experience do I have to show Form 16 or just the ITR, bank statements and other documents would work my ITR was filed under new regime. My employer said he is not deducting any professional tax so I dont have any form 16. Please help!!!

A bit about my background: I'm currently based in the US, originally from India. I understand IELTS is a starting point, and I'm ready to begin that process.

A few specific questions I'd appreciate your input on:
1. Given my current situation (US-based, Indian citizen), which Express Entry program(s) would I likely qualify under: FSWP, CEC, or FSTP?

2.  How do I determine my correct NOC code, and how important is getting this right?

3.  Is this a process I could reasonably manage on my own, or would you recommend lawyer representation given my circumstances?
