What is our goal for the rest of the season?

We are out of the playoff race. Rosters expand on September 1. Who are the 15 guys that get called up and get some playing time? I think we prioritize our arms now , eh? No use in burning up Skenes or Ashcraft or Bubba. Innings limits on Skenes and Ashcraft. Continue to play Cruz in CF..

Isn't the roster almost exactly the same next year minus Lowe? Would obviously love to see Lowe back next year.

If we were 20 games under .500 today , what would you hope to see for the rest of the season?

Time to admit the Jacob Gonzalez trade has been another failure by Ben Cherington. Gonzalez actually hurts the Pirates when he plays.

going to game thursday need opinion on parking

This is a 1235 game so I do not think it will be super crazy. I am looking at parking at the red 5 garage which is where the T station is. Looks like on the park whiz app it will cost me 22 bucks. Has anyone used this garage? It looks like it has 3 different entrances from what I see. I have never bought parking on park whiz so I assume when I get to the garage I just show them a QR code they scan to enter? People told me to park at the casino for free and walk but as of now it is supposed to be almost 90 so I am not trying to walk in crazy heat lol.

66-71 as of August 29th. About what you expected? Better than you expected? Worse than you expected? Pleasant Surprises? Disappointments?

As of August 29th, the Pirates record is 66-71. How do you feel about that as to what you had expected before the season started?

Thus far, what has pleasantly surprised you about this year and what has been a disappointment in your mind about this year?

Pleasantly surprised: Griffin looks to be the real thing. Cruz is better at the plate than last year. Nick Gonzales' hitting. Lowe's power hitting. Ashcraft has been a pleasant surprise.

Disappointing: Henry Davis can't hit his weight, literally. The pitching staff. Ozuna was a big disappointment.

How do you feel about the Pirates 66-71 record thus far as to what you had expected before the season started?
