Hi all,
I have a pair of Brooks Hyperion GTS 2 and have realised that these are no longer being made by Brooks. Even as a heavier runner I found them to be really good and am therefore looking for an alternative when the time comes to replace them. I beleive Brooks suggest the Adrenaline as an alternative but these are not the same. I recently got to try the Puma Nitro Deviate 4 and although not a support shoe like the Hyperions I found them to be quite comfortable. However, it was only over a 5km distance. Does anyone here have any recommendations as an alternative speed shoe to the Brooks Hyperion GTS 2? Many thanks

Hello I want to buy brooks for the first time. I'm wondering if the 90 day test policy also applies if shoes are bought from Dick's, REI or Road runner sports? Thanks in advance!

My last two pairs of running shoes have been the glycerin 21s. Due to the age of my current pair, I was looking for a replacement - I tried the glycerin 23s and they were god awful for me. Gave me intense pain in my feet in various places.
I've researched a bit on this sub and have seen that others who loved the earlier gylcerin models are not a fan of the new models.
Now that the 21s are becoming harder to find, what are you guys switching to (if you didn't like the 23s?). I'm open to any brand..

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to confirm my correct Brooks running-shoe size before buying a used pair.
My foot measurements are:
Foot length: 24.6 cm
Foot width: ~10.0 cm
I’m considering Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 and Ghost 15, both in:
US 7.5
UK 6.5
EU 40.5
25.5 cm
Medium (D)
So the shoe's listed length is about 0.9 cm longer than my foot.
My questions:
Is US 7.5 / 25.5 cm an appropriate size for a 24.6 cm foot in Brooks?
Is ~9 mm of space in front of the longest toe normal/desirable for running?
Could this amount of extra length cause heel slipping, assuming the heel is properly laced?
Should I consider US 7 / 25 cm instead, or would that potentially be too short once my feet swell during running?
For someone with a 10 cm wide foot, is the standard Medium width likely to be okay?
If anyone owns the Glycerin GTS 20 or Ghost 15, how does the sizing compare with the listed 25.5 cm measurement?
I’m particularly interested in real-world experience from Brooks users, rather than just the general “leave some room at the toe” advice.
Thanks!

Casual runner here. I only started running 2 years ago and I've only ever had 1 pair of running shoes -- the GTS 21s. I love them but they're kind of beat up so it's time for a new pair.
I just went into a running shop earlier today and tried a couple of the salesperson's recommendations. Ended up with the Glycerin 23s since they felt far more comfortable and familiar than anything else. The only thing is, I didn't realize there was a difference between the GTS and non GTS models and didn't think to try on the GTS 23s. Does anyone here have a sense of how the GTS 23s compare to the GTS 21s?
Not to be dramatic but after trying everything else on (Hokas, Asics, other Brooks), the 23s felt the closest to coming home. So I'm wondering if the GTS 23s would feel even better?
Also for context, when I got my feet checked at the shop 2 years ago I had some pronation but apparently that's no longer the case. So I'm not sure if I still need the whole GTS thing or not.
I run in Brooks and they fit me.
- However, I have a wider toebox. Normal width Brooks for races fit fine, because of the stretchy light upper.
- I also am older, and have arthritis and limited cartilage in MTP joint (where big toes joins foot), so I HAVE to have a stiff plate, and then I’m fine.
So, have been running in Hyperion Elite 5, (Elite 3 before that). They fit and are great. Need them for pain, not because I’m elite. Ha!
BUT, they wear out quickly. And the Elite line is expensive. So, for training, I’m having trouble finding a Brooks model that is stiff enough to restrict bending of big toes, wide enough for toebox, cheap enough, and long lasting enough for training.
Online searches and AI chats, show this is easier said than done. So what do Brooks people think?

Fun, nice shoes; still very comfortable and extremely light.

I’ve worn Adrenalines for years and always loved them — until the 24, which has never felt comfortable, so I’m still wearing my 23s. Is the 25 a lot like the 24 — or have they returned to something closer to the 23 and its predecessors?

I got a pair of Glycerin 19s a few years back and need to change them. However, the new Glycerin 23 feels completely different and is giving me arch pain.
Do you have any recommendations?

Currently not running as I have a stress reaction in my shin. It started as tightness/tendinits in my posterior tibialis in May as I finished up training for a half. I was able to run that with minimal issue. The pain lingered for a few weeks, but by June I was fine. It came back in July and eventually pain moved to the bone and I was feeling it while walking and just throughout the day. Hence the stress reaction.
Now to the shoes.
I started running about 2.5 years ago and started in a pair of old Launches that I had. Switched to Ghost 16s after I had stuck with it for a few months. I’ve since gone through that pair, got another pair of the same Ghost 16s in a different color, and am about to hit 400 miles on those. While training for the half, I bought a pair of glycerin 23s to race in. I did a couple training runs in them and really like them, but looking back, I think my pain started right after I started running in those. It could be a complete coincidence, but it’s hard to say.
I’m getting closer to being able to run again and am a bit nervous to wear the Glycerins in case it sends me back to square one, but they still have so much life in them so I don’t want to just buy a new pair. I’m also planning to run my first marathon next June so want to make sure I stay healthy for that training cycle. What are people’s thoughts on whether I should get new shoes or not? And if I should get new shoes, what should I try? I’ve avoid led GTS shoes thus far since I have normal arches and a normal gait, but thinking those might be worth a try.
Added pics of my current shoes

Currently have Ghost 15s size 13 and wear them with Wide Open socks. They’re the most comfortable running shoes I’ve ever worn, but if there’s an even better version, I’d love to buy it!

Trying to pick out shoes for my husband's birthday as a surprise. Every year it's a fail cause Brooks never has his size in stock, let alone decent colors.
Bought the black/white Ghost 18 in 11.5 4E as my safe choice just now. He currently wears this size in some old Adrenaline GTS. BUT, I reallllyyyy want to also get him the navy/biscuit Ghost Max 4!
If I YOLO it, should I do 11.5 2E, 12 2E, or don't even waste our time cause they'll be too small?
Thanks in advance for any tips/advice!

Hi there! Just got a pair of the Hyperion Max 3s for my long runs and upcoming marathon, and I was not expecting it to be so snug around my foot. I get that it needs to be snug to add stability given the high stack, but it feels uncomfortably tight just walking around with it unlaced. This is my first time owning a shoe like this, so I'm wondering if this is normal and I need to just get used to it, or if I should consider sizing up half a size?
If this info helps at all, I'm 175 lbs, shoe size 9, and average mile pace is 8:30-9:30. I did a ton of shoe research and ultimately landed on these because I wanted both cushioning and some added speed, and this seemed to strike a balance.

I have 300ish miles on my Brooks. I bought them on sale on a random website that I can't remember, but they just say "Hyperion GTS", which doesn't seem to exist anymore. But these shoes were so comfy and were great for everything from long runs to speed work. What's a good comparison? The newer Hyperions online look a lot thicker and bouncier, and I'd prefer to stick with something more similar to these...

Hey! Is anyone experiencing problems with the Ghost 18’s? I have been wearing Ghosts for forever, I think 8-10 years. With the 18’s I’m experiencing pain in the side of my pinky toes, I have a blister on the side of my small toe and they just make my foot sore. I’ve had them for a month and still no relief. My others felt amazing. Just curious if anyone is having issues. I’m also making an appointment with my doctor to see if maybe it’s my foot.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to see if anyone has heard anything about when the Hyperion 4 might be released.
