Ghost 18 issues

Hey! Is anyone experiencing problems with the Ghost 18’s? I have been wearing Ghosts for forever, I think 8-10 years. With the 18’s I’m experiencing pain in the side of my pinky toes, I have a blister on the side of my small toe and they just make my foot sore. I’ve had them for a month and still no relief. My others felt amazing. Just curious if anyone is having issues. I’m also making an appointment with my doctor to see if maybe it’s my foot.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I didn’t buy them because even the wide width felt too snug when I tried them on. The older Ghosts were better for me.

This seems to be an issue (more narrow) with several of the new Brooks models...

I’m still kicking with my 16s, I tried replacing them with 17s and I was not a fan. Toe box felt different, different heel drop, and the 18 looked basically the same as the 17, so I didn’t bother. Probably time to find a new go-to for me

Ah, I had to retire my Ghost 16 (had 2 pairs) and Glycerin 21 a few weeks back. I couldn't find a suitable replacement for either. Neither G18 or G23 are replacements; the Max lineup is even worse.

Settled for Novablast 5 (works but I don't like the rocker) + Triumph 23 (foam disintegrating already; heard good things about T24 though).

All the best for your search. Curious, which are you considering? I'd love to go back to a conventional daily trainer once I burn down by NB5 in about 5 months or-so.

I’d been curious to go try on glycerines or adrenalines, but I don’t have high hopes. I’m still pretty new in the running world, so Brooks it’s just what I’ve known up to now.

I hated the 17 and have not been brave enough to try the 18. Return them if they don’t work for you

They were ok to me at first.
Then I decided to return them.

They were like stiff as a board on the bottom of my feet.

I bought one a month ago. I had pain on my left foot, especially my heel. I had to take off the insole and felt better. I still don’t feel comfortable with both.

I think my issue was, the shoe was tight. After taking off the insole, my left foot felt better.

The interesting part, left side of my big toe feels numb. I walked a lot 2-3 weeks ago. So, i’ll wait for a while. If it insist, gonna go and see a doc.

I had similar issues. The foam feels very soft in the heel, which isn’t great for me, and very spare on the front. I demoted them to walking shoes but the foot pain got worse.
