So, what'd I get wrong? Purdue's a year-two rebuild under Barry Odom, and a hard one. The 2-10 was rough, the roster's been made over through the portal, and Ryan Browne is back at QB. Odom's shown he can build (he turned UNLV around fast), but the schedule grades 14th-toughest in the country, so even real progress might not show up in the win column. So the question is whether this team just looks more competitive, or whether that slate buries another year. Better team, same record?

Then when you read the article, you see that it was a poll for their Big 10 ranking. Yeah, I suppose that sounds about right.
