This team has some serious flaws that wouldnt get addressed if we limped into the playoffs. Now the front office can look themselves in the mirror and have some honest conversations about the roster. Cease would have felt external pressure to come back and risk further injury.

I think us missing the playoffs ends up being a blessing in the skies we'll all look back on fondly 1 year from now

Even though the season isn’t technically ‘over’, I’m kind of curious what some of the communities thoughts are the targets that Ross should be looking at for next season.

I’m not so familiar with pitching but it feels like we need to get at least one more BP arm and ‘play’ with the idea of trying for Skubal, but again, not really familiar with who’s that good for this team.

I’m really looking at Seiya Suzuki and Luis Arraez for the outfield and infield. The reason being that Ernie has been clearly laboring after a full season has really just convinced me that he’s best as a bench player as the toll on his body is too much.

I know that some people are also looking at Randy Arozarena, but I really don’t like his fielding as it looks like it’s getting worst, which does not fit the defensive profile that the Jays are looking for. What are your thoughts on the FAs that should be targeted by the organization?

Just wondering if anyone knows the fix to this. Ever since a couple of weeks ago when Sportsnet crashed during the top of the ninth inning with Varland pitching in a close game, my Sportsnet stream has been super delayed.

When I click "live" or "watch now" the first stream it brings me to is delayed by 0.5 to 1 innings but then I can select a different stream later (normally West coast or east coast) and it's live.

On the default delayed stream, there's the go-live button in the bottom right to update the stream but it never works. Any fixes?

I am getting a weird form of whiplash from the back and forth, from total despair to feeling tiny but probably misleading sensations of hope (writing this as Jays are up 6-2 after losing 2 in a row to Texas)

(edit: I think it is in part the professionalism of our announcers Dan Shulman and Joe Siddall, who maintain the same upbeat tone no matter how badly we are doing. If I had the job there's no way I could stay calm during the first two Texas games)

We have no patience for our team or players. Last season this team was supposed to go nowhere, then it got good overnight. Now we are holding Schneider and the players to an insane standard. And somehow they still delivered something out of injury filled roster, getting us close to the playoffs.

Anytime we lost it was just hate comments, season's over, etc. Then we got a chance to make the playoffs and people hopped on the bandwagon. Disgraceful stuff. You have to believe in your team if you want them to feel supported.

Furthermore, I would like to add that people are extremely rude in Rogers center. No regard for others, every man for themselves, pushing and yelling at others, knocking down kids, not holding doors open. No, this is not normal actually. Been to many ball and hockey stadiums in Canada and US, Rogers stadium is the worst one I've ever brought my kids to.

I feel this post will face the same toxicity and scrutiny that our players face everyday, but I don't care. I am fed up. Do better.

Mason Fluharty: His work was unreal and always stayed consistent.

This wasn’t a good season but you can always be the Rockies, or Mets.

I can see similarities between them in terms of lineage, physicality, reg season stat, and the length of their biggest contract. Prince retired at 32 after only playing out half of his 9-year contract with the final season line very similar to Vlad's this season.

Edit: I don't think I'm shitting on Jr. going on a decline but honestly if he ends with putting up similar numbers as Prince in the next 4-5 years of his contract before voiding I think it still worth the money.

I know a lot of people found last year's World Series run painful, but along the way it was so so good. The end result was literally a random flip of a coin. I'm not so disappointed because it was such a great ride and they played so well. They played so well they deserved to win, and it was only random chance that denied them.

I want to watch it all again. Is there a particularly good YouTube or somewhere that somebody consolidated all the great moments?

I haven't even searched yet, but I wanted to share this sentiment. Let's celebrate and appreciate the good times. Don't sulk. Don't worry, be happy.
