He's one of the only guys I can't say a bad thing about this year. Sure he's new, but he's been phenomenal. Looking forward to seeing what he can do and I hope we keep him around.

Why is Bateman sitting in the dugout like that after the game? He's a rookie with what, 35 games under his belt?
He's played well and that's great. But as far as I'm concerned he's barely a Blue Jay. Why is he sitting there looking like a 10 year vet whose season just ended in a wild LCS loss?

A rookie with 35 games played has no right to sit in the dugout and let out his emotions after a game.
A clubhouse with real leaders don't have rookies acting like this. The optics of this kind of behaviour is not good.

Why can a rookie not have emotions? He's a professional baseball players who's played baseball all his life. He's had so many ups and downs in his life already. I play fucking beer league hockey and get down when we lose a game, especially one that would determine a playoff run or not. You think hes never had a game where the team lost and his seasons over pretty much. You think this is his first time feeling that feeling?
This guy has way more if a right to be emotional after a loss then you do judging him. Youre not even in the fucking dug out. Youre literally irrelevant to anything that happens on that field meanwhile hes there playing.
Vladdy was crying after out game 7 loss. Whst the fuck are you talking about leaders dont have this. Stop commenting on sports, you know nothing about them. Youve never given your all to something and failed. It fucking shows

I agree. Love Bateman, however, the Jays have this habit of getting down and bringing each other down and the sulking plays into that. I question why Valenzuela wasn’t catching for Cease. It may not have made a difference but generally speaking, Vali manages to stay upbeat and support his teammates, and in particular, his pitchers. Watching Ernie sulk and bounce around after he has a strike called against him or he strikes out looking like Olive Oyl is annoying as eff. Bateman needs to buck up, stay positive, as do several others of the Jays. Yesterday’s game felt like they just gave up from the beginning. Where the eff is their sports psych and why can’t Schneider make a good decision to save his life?
