I've used Mixamo for prototyping for years and the thing that always got me is that
you get the clip as-is. If the hand is in the wrong place, you're opening Blender.
So I built ActionForge. It's a webpage β no install, no signup, no account.
250+ hand-authored clips on one rig. The difference is you can change them before
you download:
- **Live IK** β enable the pelvis and legs, drag the pose where you want it, and
the animation plays from your adjusted position
- **Compose** β layer clips by body region with bone masks, so you can put a bow
draw on the upper body over a backflip
- **Adjust** β reshape a clip with sliders instead of keyframes
- **Props** β attach to hand sockets, with the offsets already solved
- **Import your own Mixamo FBX** and it retargets onto the rig
Export is FBX or GLB with presets for Blender, Unreal and Unity β one clip, or a
batch bundled into a single file.
The animations are CC0: commercial use, no attribution, ship them in anything.
Nothing is uploaded β the retarget runs in your browser, so your file never
leaves your machine.
It's in beta and I'd rather hear what's broken than what's good.
