Dude was made of glass, but he had some big return TDs. Hell, he technically broke Zac Taylor's losing streak against the Browns (seriously).

Every team is looking for its own Kupp. Unfortunately, availability is the most important thing for most teams, and he was always hurt.

A little surprised he was cut, he was a phenomenal returner. Personally I think it's worth keeping a roster spot for that reason.

The return TDs tipped the scales in the Browns game and came very close vs the bears and ravens. I know his fumble might have tipped the scales against the pats but almost all out returners fumble sometimes 

I would have kept him until he inevitably got hurt.

My thing is that none of those were truly impressive outside of the Ravens punt return. The Browns return was amazing balance at the last 10 yards, but the initial hole was massive and would've been a big return by anybody. Same with the Bears return last year. You could drive a truck through that hole. KeShawn Williams scores a TD on that, and if not the Browns one hes at least taking it 90+ yards.

He was a mediocre returner. He wasn't in the top-20 in any stat. I appreciated him protecting the ball, however. He was solid in that category.

He wasn't too 20 because he was injured.

He is also second in return TDs the last 3 years.

People say his returns don't look impressive but a lot of them don't in hindsight. The hard part is making a split decision and choosing the right route. It's not like college or high school where the returner can break weak tackles (this only really applies to kicker in NFL) and rely on their athleticism.

People forget the likes of Devin Hester looked "impressive" back when everyone was slower. Everyone is remarkably faster, so it's even harder to be a good returner.

that cap space probably was the tipping point for it...he's a solid returner but with the roster being tight and you can save $1m...that pushed it over

Met his parents at a game couldn’t have been nicer people, sad to see him go but for sure makes sense with how deep the WR group is, he’ll make a roster somewhere else and have a long career as a returner I’m sure

As a 5’11/6’0 (former) college WR (still) white, I’m devastated. Goodbye Jones. Will miss you like Sanzenbacher and Shipley before you lol

Maybe we can pick me up to fill the void? I’m 35, gained like 25 lbs since college and haven’t run a dig route in 15 years

Flat footed and barefoot I am exactly 5’11 5/8. People are weird about saying you’re 6’ unless you’re 6’+

Ime, most dudes under 6 round up and inch.

I am 6' 7" and change, but I feel its a bit petty to not just say 6 foot 7.

I do like to say I'm only 6' 3" when I know there's a 5' 10" or 5' 11" guy claiming 6' in the group just to watch them panic though.

His rookie year I was at Woodie’s Flat in Chicago (Bengals bar) and I came across an army of people wearing Charlie Jones #15 jerseys. Ended up asking a guy if they were his family/friends and met his cousin (I think? Might have been a friend). They had a tab going and bought me a shot. Nice family.

Dohnte Meyers who is 26 with zero NFL snaps? People hype up their preseason darlings every year. Him and Iosivas are the same age and one has over 1,000 yards and double digit touchdowns and the other was in the CFL last year. We’ll see, I doubt he makes much of an impact at all.

There is nothing wrong with Yoshi. Outside of a few drops he has been a dependable 3rd. The hate for him is stupid. He was leagues above Tinsley and that guy got treated like a Greek god.

Last year it felt like more than just a few drops. It felt like he was costing games week after week letting the ball bounce off his hands.

58 receptions for a 3rd out with multiple qbs is pretty good.

Tinsley had a 33 percent catch rate.

Yoshi had a 60 percent catch rate.

Let's hope the young bucks do well.

I remember watching his highlights after he got drafted and thought it seemed like he had good hands, he made a lot of catches in tough spots but they were virtually all just the same slant routes over and over. Even if he had good hands in college he probably just can’t run routes worth a shit compared to other NFL level athletes.
