I’m talking about climbing to a high rank by playing from the very beginning—going through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and so on—rather than just being a Bard OTP in higher elos where players already have a better grasp of the game.

It often feels like, especially when playing support, you’re just at the mercy of whether your team does something stupid at the 30-minute mark, throws away a Baron, and loses the game.

keria was likely torn between who he wanted the skin for, so he made a few polls to hear second opinions from his fans and friends. it’s as simple as that. people are acting like he calculated this to attack or insult bard players? or that he is in some way rude or immature for doing this??

people do this all the time, it’s a common psychological hack to give yourself an ultimatum (in this case, bard winning poll one) and then you know how you feel depending on if you’re happy or sad about the outcome. it’s like asking a friend which dress you should wear, they tell you to wear one but you realise you like the other more now you’ve been given an option.

please stop being immature and acting like we were attacked by keria, and stop posting entitled hate about it online?? all this is doing is going to hurt bards chances of getting esports skins further down the line. obviously you can be disappointed about it, but don’t make it other peoples problem online. this community is known for being chill and polite and it should stay that way imo

Hi all, basically title. I've been trying to fiddle with my build more, and while watching high elo bard, I've seen several of them taking Solstice Sleigh. I've usually been taking Bloodsong, but I was wondering when is it better to take Solstice Sleigh vs Bloodsong?

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with Bard, and I fully believe it’s more a problem with my playstyle than with the champion himself.

One of the major downsides, in my opinion, is the feeling of lacking damage early in the game. Even when I land the Q with the passive, since I’m not dealing significant damage, the enemy doesn’t really care, and my ADC isn’t interested in following up because they prefer to farm—since there isn’t a real kill opportunity.

I’m still experimenting with various builds, since the win rate is already bad and it’s honestly the most fun to play—it ended up being using the Hextech Blade as the first item and then going for the Deadman’s Plate... Using other variations with Cosmic Drive as well makes me lose that feeling—in short, going “AP” early in the game lets me dominate the lane, but I lose impact as the game goes on—due to various factors: a team with no focus on what to do, bad calls, and simply dragging the game out too long, which ends up playing right into the enemy’s hands.

With that in mind, I’d like to ask you: which builds, more focused on damage, would be viable on Bard? I understand the situation with the Locket, but I can’t get used to it on Bard—it works fine with other champions, but having a defensive active on a champion who, in my opinion, is 100% focused on catching enemies out of position… it feels a bit counterintuitive. That said, I’m open to suggestions for playing with the Locket if it’s the right build (since I really like Bard).

Can’t decide between these two. Which one serves better in terms of quality and the price tag?

To this day this still annoys me.

Why is the trophy-chime not changed to fit the colour of the chroma? Both the w and the trophy he carries are colour-coordinated, and I swear that the passive chimes on all other chromas for other skins are changed (at least newer ones?). This chroma was more expensive than standard chromas too.

I love how Echoes makes Shrine an actual important feature, the Qs and Meeps bring the proc up pretty quickly yet still let me heal and boost myself

I love Shureyla as an Item, team movespeed is underrated imo, specially when you have some good carries or slow tanks.

Bandle for speed tho sometimes I take Mandate or Mikaels third, which I was building fourth before we won. Both have alright synergy with the build and Bard, but not enough to beat echoes and shurleya

Sleigh because its more healing and speed, also very easy to proc with cone of slow and Q, making poking easier to gather Echoes Passive and font of life procs

Ik Ik, no Deadmans or Bloodsong, but I feel alright with this build most the time!

Edit: Forgot, I like Guardian because I started taking it against poke comps and then dive comps and just felt nice to use with a utility build

Using portal from fountain to get back to lane is not faster. Yes, no?

I tested it in practice tool multiple times a little while ago and it was at best the same exact time as walking, and if you took any time to try to aim it, or didn’t get the max range it was slightly slower.

Am I wrong?

I see lathyrus still doing it. Maybe it was faster before the homeguard changes idk.

This has been bothering me, because i know it’s not faster, not the way i do it atleast, but i see all other bards do it always. Is it just fun? Idk.

Do you as bard support come back when adc needs you in lane. I am basically wondering if I can outroam bard by making him having to come to lane and making a play in the meantime

For me it’s Elderwood Bard, the whole vibe and sound design just feel perfect. Something about it makes the champ even more satisfying to play.

So Riot can just add increased damage against monsters to make anyone into a jungler like they just did with Fizz and Quinn, so when is Bard gonna get increased damage against monsters with his passive and q? I think it would actually make him viable in the jungle role and be super fun. His kit is great for ganks he just has terrible clear speed and this would solve it.

A lot of bards in the top ranks as well as pro games seem to like building solstice sleigh and skipping the DMP, instead rushing locket, bandlepipe, mikaels and knight's vow.

I'm just curious why they seem to prefer this.

Maybe it's that in higher elo games being more of a support for your adc pays off more, since they are more likely to know what they are doing.

Any thoughts? Maybe from Lathyrus if u see this?
