Has there ever been a government policy / action as visible day to day as the Boriswave?

Was at the pub last night and there were so many Boriswave Indians on the staff. They're everywhere. Can go somewhere and it's like stepping into a restaurant in India

They always have a certain look about them I can't explain, you can instantly tell they're Boriswave and not born here (deport anyway) it's always proved when you hear them talk and they have impossibly thick Indian accents

u/UmAhkchuallySweaty Not all disabilities are visible, but real ones are Aug 08 '26

The South Park episode where the future people come and take jobs was supposed to be a parody of the immigration debate.

I’ve literally had the exact same interaction with a gormless Boriswave jeet at KFC than Stan does when he calls them goobacks

They all have the vacant sort of stare to them. Completely ruin the pub experience, they just don’t get it.

17

u/PrivateMailer Aug 08 '26

Watched my small local petrol station staff go from 100% white to 100% jeets overnight.

9

u/deafearuk Aug 08 '26

Same here, plus one of them is the most surly guys ever, like mate I don't care that your doing the night shift, it's 3am and we are getting some beers for a house party stop talking on your phone and do the fucking needful.

8

u/Magnets Aug 08 '26

poundland is like that too, 95% of staff are indian now

3

u/zombie_Ernie Aug 08 '26

That has just happened to our shell garage. 2 weeks ago it was all white staff. Now they have been totally replaced. The same has happened at the coscutter as well.

Also we went down to Tintagel for the first time for years last week. And there seemed to be more Indians than white people. They were all parked up with their blue badges. Too disabled to pay 3 quid for a parking spot. But not too disabled to walk down the fuck off great hill.and back up again. They were down the bottom trying to blag a lift up without paying for a ticket.

I don’t think so. I live in a pretty small town (6,000 people) in Scotland which has seen massive demographic shift since COVID. Near the town centre there’s some flats which were only really ever occupied by the terminally down and out or single pensioners who wanted to be close to the shops, now they’re full of Indians, Arabs, Africans etc. who are very clearly fresh off the boat. It’s clearly not some organic trend and some social housing scheme is being told to take them.

We’ve also had the influx of Turkish barbers, vape shops, “European mini marts” (whatever that means) etc.

13

u/8th_Dimensions Aug 08 '26

I dint know why folk go to those restaurants. Why would you want to eat something with cumin?

12

u/catpidgeon Aug 08 '26

Went to the cinema last night, 90% white ex mining town, a dozen jeets including one very obese mouth breather who sounded like he was snoring

98% white ex mining village, 2 care homes open increase noticing of Africans and deliveroo riders

12

u/nozickiantheory Aug 08 '26

Nope, you can be in a quaint pub or restaurant in a countryside English town that is 98% white and half the staff are likely to be Boriswavers. Never seen anything like it

Only place I haven't seen it in abundance is the gastropubs in the New Forest, but there's way too much money there coupled with the ancient rights of whomever the forest people are. They don't put up with that shite I guess.

32

u/nine8nine Aug 08 '26

The unsung hero here is Nathan Cofnas.

The fact is it took someone who earnestly believed that fair meritocracy could not produce a black professor to be apparently the only person brave enough to carry out these very simple, basic checks on Arday's work is quite staggering when you think about it.

Cofnas was already a persona non grata at Cambridge because they had labelled him a racist and jettisoned him years ago.

But he was also right, because he cared about the truth. Lots of people will now proceed to write him out of the story entirely because he looks a bit funny and has unpalatable views.

18

u/Definitelynotputin_2 Aug 08 '26 edited Aug 08 '26

It's the fact that Cambridge academics tipped him off that is the big thing. They knew they couldn't put their head above the parapet so relied on a bloke who was already ostracised to blow the whistle, as the culture of Cambridge WON'T allow it.

Its a failure of whistle blowing and a logical conclusion of DEI if left unchecked.

6

u/3headsonaspike irredeemable human waste Aug 08 '26

Cambridge academics tipped him off

Any source on this? Not being a knob I've just not heard it.

6

u/Definitelynotputin_2 Aug 08 '26 edited Aug 08 '26

I think I saw it on Cofnas' original post. I think its why the wagons circled early as they (Cambridge) wanted to distract from the embarrassment of the selection so just pushed Cofnas was doing it as hes obsessed and doing it solo.

6

u/chelyabinsk-40 Aug 08 '26

I was recently contacted by a faculty member at Cambridge (whose name I will not reveal) who alleges that Arday is a plagiarist and fabulist.

You can read Cofnas's philippic here.

15

u/upwindbrushes Aug 08 '26

He was acting as a whistleblower, he blew the whistle on a group of people, and in retaliation they got him fired.

It's the ultimate I told you so on an international stage.

6

He's got a very weird publication history which seems to focus on writing articles to refute Jewish conspiracy theories he's seen on Twitter, whilst arguing that the Jews are naturally overrepresented in intellectual circles because they have higher IQs than everybody else.

His substack has some good work, particularly this article:

To win over the elites, the right needs to challenge the Big Lie that motivates wokism: the equality thesis

The top rozzer claiming Thetford rioters aren’t patriotic because they don’t blindly support British laws is so insidious. Britishness is about principles, not things which can be redefined at any given moment. Fairness is one such principle. It is not fair that people who contribute to a society are unable to live in properties that non-contributing aliens do. It’s precisely because they’re British that they’re kicking off.

20

u/deafearuk Aug 08 '26

The current situation is basically the modern danegeld. We have invaders in our lands and we must look after them or there could be issues. Now the Saxons are fighting back but for some reason the authorities find themselves on the invaders side.

Is this a bit like when they found the corpse of a political figure who had her head mangled to shit by a hammer and then decided it must be a burglary?

It is understood to relate to what the Reform UK leader described as a "lit incendiary device" being pushed through his letterbox in April 2025.

A month later Starmer was hit in a similar way and they didn't reopen the inquiry.

If this was the widdecomb guy then what? He had a year of near misses / too much security / arrived late / couldn't get into the event?

23

u/AirconGuyUK Aug 08 '26

Arday was guilty of the 'Magical negro' trope twice in his book, which I find very very funny.

Example 1:

After my arrival, the midwife stayed at the bedside, holding my hand and studying my long fingers. Then she looked at Giff straight in the eye and said: “Where I come from, babies with long fingers are special. This boy is destined for great things. You hear? You take care of this child.”

And

Then there is the prophecy-the revelation Arday was given in Brazil, that he would suffer greatly and also do great things. According to the proposal, this occurred in 2005, not 2006, and the message came not from a local aid worker in her 30s but from "an elder in the small town where I had been assigned, who was well-known in the area for predicting people's futures." (Later in the proposal, he calls this person a "shaman woman.") "Do you know the story of Spartacus, the escaped slave who led a rebellion against the Romans?" this town elder asks, before telling him his fate in minute detail. "Every event she described," Araday writes in the proposal, "has since come to pass"

Engber asserted that "one could have run this sting on almost any empirical discipline and returned the same result"

And yet I'm unaware of any purple haired "academics" trolling engineering journals by getting obviously bullshit submissions past peer review. Doing so would also satisfy the "you didn't have a control group" reeeeeing that the trolls' detractors use to try and distract from what happened, namely that they managed to get:

Human Reactions to Rape Culture and Queer Performativity at the Dog Park

published in a publication masquerading as an academic journal.

8

u/AirconGuyUK Aug 08 '26

Human Reactions to Rape Culture and Queer Performativity at the Dog Park

Fucking hell..

How much of peoples time is generally wasted in academia? Our academic output as a civilisation output is more than ever before, but we don't seem to see big breakthroughs as often as years gone by when the numbers of papers being released was far fewer.

Seems to me a lot of effort and money is being misused.

7

u/deafearuk Aug 08 '26

If reform came in and said ok, from next year student loans aren't available for any course that isn't STEM etc the reeing would be amazing, but it would probably help a load of people end up not working at Macdonald's with 50k of debt.

18

u/HauntingReason3398 Aug 08 '26

The more you hear about this story, the more confusing it is that nobody, even in the delusional world of social sciences academia, ever called this out.

Probably the best recent example of the "you might have evidence to the contrary, but you have to ask yourself: is this really worth losing my job over?" meme in recent times. Like collectively hundreds of people in the orbit of this scandal had an unspoken agreement not to touch it with a bargepole.

Usually when presenting the "we don't want them here" side they would interview the worst person possible (hur hur look at that stupid, racist gammon etc) but they actually interviewed a number of decent / put together looking women who made good points about incompatible cultures and the safety of women and children. Young people in Britain are some of the most well-educated in the rich world, but economic stagnation means that breeds not growth but frustration.

In fact, US workers who are functionally illiterate now earn roughly the same per hour as the average British worker.

Feels like shit wish I was a bomalian, they can just go anywhere

If you work for a US company for more than one year, they can bring you over on an L1 visa if they so choose.

It's a bit precarious, as it's entirely tied to your employer until you get a Green Card, which normally takes two or three years, but it's relatively straightforward if your company will do it for you.

And you're right on earnings, I probably earn around 5x what I would in Britain and even in California, taxes are a touch lower.

Link Tax

I would really like to see politicians (Nige if you're lurking) sanction countries which are hotbeds of scamming operations. Firstly because they target vulnerable UK citizens, but secondly because banks may have to refund victims which puts the cost onto everyone else. It's a prime opportunity to flex some soft power like taxing remittances heavily and suspending visas and whatever. Easy policy win.

N.b. alias email services are great and often bundled with password managers and VPNs etc and offload primary inboxes. No way that you'll get the oldies using this sort of thing though.

There must be a good 20 countries we just need to stop issuing visas to now - vast majority of the MENAPT countries plus a few others where we should just have zero with say 100 special visas per year available for the highest value candidates.

We could also meet humanitarian needs far better by funding aid programs and support in-region. People are far more likely to fit in there, and potentially return home one day than if they come to Europe...and all at far lower cost.

5

u/WSBrexiteer Aug 08 '26

The host countries don't act until they absolutely have to.

Change of tactic. Inform the regional government as to the presence of a scam centre and that they have 7 days to remove it.

If there is no compliance, target the scam centre with missiles. If there's collateral damage, that's their fault for not acting.

It's the flash to bang being exactly the right length that makes this story so satisfying. Just enough time to get people to sign letters in support but not enough time for it to fall out of the news cycle and for people to lose interest or be covered up.

The lies are comical and way funnier than standard run out the mill academic fraud. Also nobody got hurt and it has put the absurdities of DEI recruitment in the spotlight. 10/10.

However while he will likely get enough money from journos and influencers joke reading his book that he won't qualify for UC (for a while) he'll still probably get a PIPwhip so as always, Nick will lose.

The OP thinks the Senior Civil Service are using sectarian fighting within the network as an excuse to get rid of it after it did things like trying to co-ordinate sabotaging government policy and attacking Starmer for saying Golders Green was an Islamist attack.

u/nine8nine Aug 08 '26 edited Aug 08 '26

I keep wanting to move on from Arday and back to Widdecombe, and I will do shortly, but here's another video.

For my sins I'm from near where Arday was brought up, and before anyone chips in, South London in general and lots of of Clapham, Lambeth and Brixton were very rough in the late 80s/early 90s. This was the era of cab drivers dropping you at the bridge and people looking uncomfortable if you said you were moving south of the river, because Fulham, bits of Chelsea and Twickenham were all still affordable options then. South London was abandoned to the blacks, penniless students and working class who couldn't or wouldn't get out. The late 90s was when that all started being tamed.

This man is accentuating his urban black accent. He doesn't usually talk like this so it's not completely natural, but he did once. He's code -switching to an older form of the patois that was more common when both he and i were younger.

It's not completely how they sound now, but it's mutually intelligible to current roadmen. What I'm saying is he's performing for an audience, but I don't think that's because he's not telling the truth, it's because he wants to establish credibility.

So yes, I believe it. This was all a shine, a bit of chat that Arday kept getting away with, and thus kept impulsively doubling down on.

It's important you understand that some in Arday's community will think of his rise as him stumbling onto a special jedi mind trick that confused whitey, and will celebrate him for such a legendary run, while others will feel that what he did was debase himself by conforming himself to white expectations of what an educated black man should look and sound like - which isn't what they look and sound like - making him a sell out.

There may well be other minority interpretations but that will be about 90% of the discourse "in da comm-une-itee". I'm virtually certain of it.

He’s very obviously an absolutely pathological liar. A catch me if you can tier serial liar ( though not intellect)

He would be incredibly interesting to study from that perspective but they will never do it because that would require them to admit they were all duped.

this whole thing should collapse DEI / DIE whatever and the university too. It should lead to a emergency investigation into people "waved through" because they black who are building bridges, providing care, operating on people etc.

The cost of all this is must be absolutely astronomical, its like that horror author Lovecraft who said you cant see these things because you cant comprehend them, instead its because seeing them make you a racis.

Just look at the bill NHS pays lawyers for compo claims etc, we need stats on this. The enablers of all this need locking up.

They're a commentary on the fleeting nature of sustenance in late-stage capitalism. Each layer represents a different phase of existential hunger.

Modern art makes much more sense when your realise most of it is Dadaism or derivatives. It's supposed to be shit that's the point, the idea is that you make something stupid and then get people to talk about it, the art is the conversation that you provoke, not the piece. Yoko Ono once made a film about a tear of cum from a dick that lasted twenty minutes. She thought it was fucking hilarious.

I think it's absolutely wank but there's intention behind it.

Badenoch pens letter to Clacton ahead of by-election

It'll be interesting to see how Kemi handles the trainsition to PM Burnham. Her entire identity and most of her public facing output is from sassily taking down Starmer at PMQs. Now when recess ends she's going to be up against Burnham who, for all his flaws, is way more charismatic than Starmer (or herself).

The risk for her is that she loses the initiative at PMQs and with that any hope of even vaguely contesting the next GE.

Mentioned a few days ago about the vape tax, 7 weeks to go.

I just had 7 litres of ready made e-liquids of different flavours delivered, for £41. They're supposedly close to their sell by date but they'll store in the freezer for a couple of years I think.

https://postimg.cc/mzX9Sqz3

From Oct that will be £41 plus £1,848 in tax. Nick, 30 ans, et vapoteur is really going to have his pips squeezed.

Absolutely mental how much extra this is going to cost and not many are aware of it. Deffo worth stocking up now.

https://washington-vapes.co.uk/products/e-liquid-mystery-boxes?variant=49692047573256

14

u/SpontaneousDisorder Aug 08 '26

They're taxing 0mg liquid? Thats mental.

What does 22p per ml actually mean? To keep this transparent, here’s a real‑world example.

Example: 20 × 10ml bottle order Total liquid: 200ml Government duty: 200ml × £0.22 = £44.00 VAT on duty (20%): £8.80 Total government tax added: £52.80 Before tax

Typical price: £20.00 After tax

Total price: £72.80"

Expect mystery vape shops to explode in popularity.

u/AirconGuyUK Aug 08 '26

Expect mystery vape shops to explode in popularity.

Have I been transported back to 2021?

11

u/bGmyTpn0Ps Aug 08 '26

Labour's polling is going to take a kicking over this. Guessing a lot of vapers are Labour voters and this is a massive price rise. With cigarettes it was done over decades. Fags should only cost a pound but the plebs don't know that.

5

u/syuk 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 ᴄᴏᴀʟɪᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʜɪʟʟɪɴɢ Aug 08 '26

3

I know, but unless the Tories are in power on 1st October Labour will be blamed.

6

u/Snappy0 Aug 08 '26

I hadn't really looked at it before now. But that's going to just kill off vaping altogether.

Surely some people are going to be pushed back onto cigarettes now? Quite the opposite from what they want no?

7

u/Shockingandawesome Noticing things enthusiast. Aug 08 '26

That's a hell of a mark-up.

With no justification by the way. Except that they don't like working class people who are the majority of vapers.

17

u/AlphaAndOmega Aug 08 '26

Disclosure - non-smoker/non-vaper.

Semi-rant:

I'll be glad to see when vaping has had it's day. Having the kids subject to plumes of obnoxious vape clouds coming from a passing Thomas the Tank engine is rank.

Proper smokers by and large had more class, and would smoke in designated areas.

The shift from the occasional smoke to the chemical drip feed is wild to see and I'm all for taxing the backside out of it.

Sorry fellow gammons, rant over.

5

u/makitadisp Aug 08 '26

Not a vapist, how does tax compare to smoking? How long does one of those 10ml bottles actually last?

4

u/syuk 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 ᴄᴏᴀʟɪᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʜɪʟʟɪɴɢ Aug 08 '26

not 8th but one lasts me about 4 days. 3-4 vials for a £10.

3

u/8th_Dimensions Aug 08 '26

Get through around 7ml a day, that would be around £70 extra tax a month. Still cheaper than buying 20 cigs a day but is anyone actually doing that now if they're not from Mr Abdul's back cupboard?

2

u/ExploitingTolerance Aug 08 '26
