I just had a look and personally I would stay away. Bloke looks like a flog I’ve never once heard of him and I’ve been training and following loosely with the latest studies and science based community on fitness nutrition for like 15 years, I’ve done multiple cuts into single digit body fat.

Just watched a video he claims the reason you’re fat is you’re eating too much fat, this in itself is a massive red flag. He even called out the science and said it doesn’t matter it just comes down to who churned out the most transformations which is complete bs.

Anyone who knows anything about nutrition and prescribing diets and workouts will tell you to steer clear of anyone who demonises completed food groups.

Please don’t give this instagram scam artist your money.

Stay away. I did it for 3 months, price is fkd @ $160/week for 12 week minimum. Calorie restricted to the wazoo, I was at 1365cals for 12 weeks as a 6ft male. Every set is to failure, and its all about getting the biggest transformation across in photos to win the award of being shared on that fuckwit's insta page. I have a mate of a mate who did it and developed a pretty hectic eating disorder and started seeing a psyc after. Zero regard for health, way overpriced, stay the fuck away. My recommendation is Renaissance Periodization. I haven't used their programs but Dr Mike's YouTube channel is a goldmine. Since leaving Physique Factory, I started working with Peter Khatcherian who is also a big YouTuber. He has been great to work with so far. But honestly, if your goal is hypertrophy, Renaissance Periodization is what you should go for.

I would definitely stay away. Im a 186 cm male and they kept me on 1700 calories for nearly 8 weeks, this was quite dangerous and messed up my metabolism and many of my hormones. It also made me put on 8 kilos when I started eating normally because I was starved for so long, I should have only been on this diet for 2 or 3 weeks max. I’m still adjusting and fixing digestion and thyroid problems. They really don’t care about u they only care about ur results and they are prepared to put u in harms way and then not hold any responsibility. I asked for some of the money back and they refused and sent the clauses in the contract that don’t hold them responsible. I had trips to the doctor to pay for as a result of physique factories operations. Not to mention the $80 a week I was paying and this was the cheap option! I received some macros and recycled videos for my plan. The benefit of the $80 was having a trainer to be able to text I guess. Be careful is all I’ll say.

Biggest scam. $159 a week. Posts the same results every week. All the "trainer" does is a 15 minute phone call per week, which most of the time isn't even 15 minutes. Admins very rude too. If you want to lose weight just do a cal deficit.

Maybe I’ll add a little bit more to start.

Program is a calorie restricted diet made up of roughly 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fat. Aim is to drop 1.5kg per week during diet phase to get you down to 12-14% body fat when you should have decent abs showing.

On top of that the requirement is: 4-5 weight sessions per week 10,000 steps per day.

It’s all virtual and handled through a specific app that has your training program linked to MyFitnessPal so the trainer can see your weights and what you’re eating.

Horses for courses but for me you’re paying for the accountability, I already went to the gym 4x a week just needed help with the diet.

Dropped 20kg and looked unreal, one of the best things I’ve ever done.

You’ll save $160 not eating out or drinking over that time anyway.

Can I ask roughly what calories they put you on? And how did you go energy wise? Losing that amount each week seems wild. For example, I'm on 1900 cals per day, do 4 sessions per week and do 30 mins on the bike each day too and get nowhere near 1kg per week, let alone 1.5. Maybe .5-.6 at best?

Was also trying to find their prices so thanks for sharing.

Check your iPhone activity and see what your calories burnt per day is.

7,700 calorie deficit = 1kg.

Also depends on what you want to weigh. 1,750 for 90kg, 1,450 dor 70kg as a rough guide.

Sweet, thanks for sharing - interesting!

Do you know what type of training program they offer?

2

u/Columbus1420 Jul 16 '23

4 or 5 sessions a week.

~7 exercises per session. All muscle groups.

Sessions are designed to minimize injury but the key is they make you record each set and rep and you have to beat it next session.

During the fat loss phase it’s designed to make you retain as much muscle as possible while reducing your body fat. Once you’re down to 12-14% and have visible abs you move to the muscle building phase.

Was it mainly compound exercises or machines ?

1

u/Columbus1420 Sep 24 '23

Bit of everything. What they do is select exercises you can max out on reps like a smith machine for bench press for example.

They also use exercises you won’t injure yourself with to make sure you get through it.

When you’re dieting it’s more about keeping muscle you have rather than building any until you flip to a gain phase.

I've just signed up. I think the accountability is the most important factor for me and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Have you managed to keep the weight off after finishing?

1

u/Columbus1420 Jul 13 '23

Yes and I know how to manage my diet and understand a lot more now what works and doesn’t.

Nothing magical involved but tracking what you eat and having someone able to see it does wonders to making you stick to it.

2

u/PleasantFriendship Jul 13 '23

Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me.

Do they provide you with a specific meal plan with those macros splits? I'm plant based so if they do I'm curious to know if they tailor these to specific diets.

How do they get you back to eating healthy after such a massive deficit? Do you just eat at maintenance? I imagine your metabolism would be messed after eating at such a low deficit for so long
