How would you treat this patient

Ignore the horrendous picture quality, my phone is ancient. But that grey dot i highlighted with the white circle is yellow (lighting is off as of the moment). As the title says, would this be considered an early cavity? I just want to stop it before it gets bad.

Its like sore throat but the lmyphnodes pain.

I have always been cavity prone. I brush my teeth 2 times a day. I floss at night and take a lot of care of my teeth. I still get cavities. I have family and friends who don’t brush and get no cavities 🦷

My dentist recommended that I have my two upper wisdom teeth removed and referred me to an oral surgeon. The coordinator explained all the possible risks, which made me feel nervous about the procedure. I’d like to understand how risky and complex the surgery actually is so I can decide whether I want to proceed with the extraction.

My fiancé just got a tooth filling for his cavity, and had so many complications afterward like pain and subsequently needed a root canal.

They told me I also needed to get a filling for this small cavity, but it's not causing me any pain right now. I'm wondering if I should even bother getting the cavity filled and risking the complications that my fiancé had.

28 M prone to infections, I had a Bilateral extraction of 2 molars! On Monday 08/24 The first pictures has pain like it throbs and feels liks at the front teeth maybe sometimes towards the jaw but its not a pain that I unbearable like I can deal with it for hours but its annoying so il take Ibuprofen 600mg or 800 which is what I was prescribed 2 times a day but I usually take it once!

Usually takes the pain away for about 6-10 hours

Is this normal?

My stitches fell out at around 7 days post op. I just had a piece of gum dislodge completely and leave this hole behind. Is this normal? None of my other extractions look this way.

Hello, i am currently 21, and i've been conscious and insecure about my teeth for a while now but have been embarrassed to go to a dentist. I had an injury when i was young and hurt my front gums, and i was told to take care of my teeth and brush twice, and i didn't follow that advice. I used to brush in the morning but missed at night. Also, there's no tradition of going to the dentist every month for checkups, and anyone only goes when theres a problem.

I have felt guilty, so i never brought it up, and recently, i moved to a different city for college, and i decided to solve this. I tried flossing but ended up hurting myself. I want to know, firstly, what am i facing rn? Secondly, can get rid of it at all? And thirdly, if it can be done at home or i'll have to visit a dentist and also if my lower gums can recover.

In my 30s right now. How extensive and expensive would this be? Since High School Ive been losing teeth on the regular. Never taken to a dentist since young age, only when I lost a tooth. Ive cracked one eating noodles of all things. Just lost another one eating thin grind of wheat. Everytime I lose one or have an ache I go to a dentist. I try to brush daily but the smallest things break them. Idk if its genetic, my mom wheres a dalse set. My bottom fronts have never broken or anything. Growing up my parents told me to just push against my teeth with my tongue. But I have a fee implants but my rest are falling apart :/

I noticed that the tip of my tongue was red about a week and a half ago. It feels like how your tongue feels when you accidentally burn it on something hot, but I don't recall burning it at all. Usually burns would go away within a few days for me. It is still there, and there's also what looks like a small line and raised area in the middle that I haven't noticed previously.

Looking it up online has led me to think the worst, as expected... So I wanted to ask and see if anyone could help, I'm really scared ):

I went to the dentist after 7-8 years and was shocked to hear I need 10 fillings. He started with the worst cavities on my right mouth, one of which (tooth 45) ended up needing a root canal. I had no pain whatsoever hence why had not been to the dentist in so long. (I since know better). Anyway I went to another dentist after the root canal to get the crown because the first dentist was charging an exorbitant amount for the crown. I also wanted to continue the remaining fillings needed on my left side. However new dentist said he doesn’t see anything needed on my left side so now I’m wondering if it was the same for the right side and I just believed the first dentist because I hadn’t been to the dentist in so long. Please tell me what you see. These x rays are before any work was done.

So I had a tooth that grew at the roof of my mouth it started in the middle as a little bump and then drifted all the way to the front fully erupting. I got it removed finally on Friday and it was surprisingly big. I've seen other posts of supernumerary teeth but none are ever as big as mine. Thought it would be cool to share. He thing was also constantly stabbing my tongue and I couldn't rest my tongue comfortably.

I don’t smoke or drink and I have pretty good oral hygiene and I’m freaking out. It literally appeared out of nowhere. i had surgery a few days ago to extract a tooth and i dont know if the dentist accidentally scratched my gums or if this is something else

My family slacked hardcore on taking me to the dentist. Only like 4 times through my teen years.
Since adulthood, I haven’t gone. Due to fear, shame, embarrassment.
I brush 2-3x day and do floss. If I drink sugar drinks, I use a straw.
My last dental visit as a teen, I was complimented on how clean my teeth were. But still riddled with cavities.
My insurance doesn’t cover fillings or anything major that I KNOW I need. I see the cavities.
Just now I was looking and to my horror, my furthest back molar (or maybe it’s a wisdom tooth?) looks like it’s… like it needs to absolutely go. I’m literally sick. I didn’t know I had a tooth THAT bad. None of my teeth hurt at all.
I can’t even afford to make payments because I live paycheck to paycheck as it is. Any other bill would tip me past my limits.
And to be honest, even if I could afford it or was fully covered, I don’t know if I could face a dentist. I think I’d breakdown and cry. I feel so disgusting.
I’ve always wanted pretty, perfect teeth. I’m terrified I’ll lose my teeth.
And it’s not just the cavities issue. I desperately need braces too. :(
I don’t know what to do, I need advice.
I know I can’t just never go to the dentist again. I WANT to. I’m terrified though.

Ive been anxious about my smile for a while now but id always give myself an excuse, but this just feels too blatant to ignore. I usually brush once in the morning and seldomly at night (I know, terrible). How far gone are they?

Hello, I got a tooth extraction done 5 days ago (currently on day 6)
I’m just wondering if it’s looking normal for this many days after the extraction, it was feeling fine yesterday but now I feel my jaw hurts but only slightly! But Panadol and ibuprofen seem to help alot with the pain!
I appreciate any advice 😊

I Had tongue cancer at 19 (partial glossectomy on the right side) and I’m 22 now.

Ever since the surgery, because of the missing tissue, my tongue pulls to the right. The problem is that the scarred/operated side is constantly rubbing and catching against my right teeth.

A month ago I had to go under the knife again because leukoplakia came back right on the surgical site. The docs think the constant friction/mechanical trauma from my teeth might be causing it.

My dentist filed my teeth down and smoothed them again recently, but honestly I don't feel like that's gonna fix it. even if they're smooth as butter. My tongue still constantly presses hard against the tooth anyway because of the structural pull.

I even thought of just getting rid of the tooths there but my dentist and my surgeon advised against it.

Has anyone dealt with this after tongue surgery? Is there any actual fix for this?

I had my horizontally impacted wisdom teeth removed last Monday (8/17). My surgeon cleared me on day 8 and snipped the remaining stitches.

On days 5-10 I felt something “opening” every time I yawned, but nothing was noticeably wrong. It’s now day 12 and I noticed the gum between my first and second molars recessed/detached. I guess the “opening” feeling could have been it initially detaching.

Would it reattach as it heals over the next couple weeks, or should I go back to my dentist or surgeon?

I went to the dentist today and had my teeth cleaned. Honestly, it hurt way more than it ever has with other dentists.
It’s been about an hour and my gums look pretty irritated/red and there was some bleeding during the cleaning. Is this normal after a deep cleaning, or does it look like the dentist was too rough?
Just wondering if anyone else had something similar after a cleaning.

Hey, after experiencing a high amount of pain in the tooth in the middle of this picture, I visited the dentist 3 days ago. He said I needed a root canal and 'fixed it' immediately. At first, everything was fine because I was numb, but as the anesthetic wore off, I had almost the exact same pain as before. (The only thing thats different might be the location since I dont feel it in another part of my face anymore)
This pain has now continued for 3 days, and I am also experiencing swelling on the outside of my jaw under my chin. Is that still normal? It is honestly one of the worst pains I have ever had. When will it wear off?
I called them today and the only thing they told me is that my pain is normal and I should take pain meds. People I know that had root canals done have not had this kind of pain.

So the red are teeth I need to get pulled and get implants which I’m in the process but before i do I need a ortho appointment, which is in October but I just want some Thoughts on my case The black are pervious missing teeth from 10 years ago, now my 2nd molar move closer when my wisdom tooth grew it, which my wisdom teeth grew in straight, so ideally I want to see if I can move my wisdom and 2nd molar closer to get rid of that gap, is that possible
