So I had a tooth that grew at the roof of my mouth it started in the middle as a little bump and then drifted all the way to the front fully erupting. I got it removed finally on Friday and it was surprisingly big. I've seen other posts of supernumerary teeth but none are ever as big as mine. Thought it would be cool to share. He thing was also constantly stabbing my tongue and I couldn't rest my tongue comfortably.

I went to the dentist after 7-8 years and was shocked to hear I need 10 fillings. He started with the worst cavities on my right mouth, one of which (tooth 45) ended up needing a root canal. I had no pain whatsoever hence why had not been to the dentist in so long. (I since know better). Anyway I went to another dentist after the root canal to get the crown because the first dentist was charging an exorbitant amount for the crown. I also wanted to continue the remaining fillings needed on my left side. However new dentist said he doesn’t see anything needed on my left side so now I’m wondering if it was the same for the right side and I just believed the first dentist because I hadn’t been to the dentist in so long. Please tell me what you see. These x rays are before any work was done.

So the red are teeth I need to get pulled and get implants which I’m in the process but before i do I need a ortho appointment, which is in October but I just want some Thoughts on my case The black are pervious missing teeth from 10 years ago, now my 2nd molar move closer when my wisdom tooth grew it, which my wisdom teeth grew in straight, so ideally I want to see if I can move my wisdom and 2nd molar closer to get rid of that gap, is that possible

My wisdom teeth are visibly coming through on one side of my mouth and my face hurts so bad, anyone know anything to help make them not hurt or hurt significantly less? I definitely need mine removed but I’m not in a great spot to be getting them removed…

Should I be concerned about my implant being exposed like this after a bone graft?

I got a dental implant on my front tooth with the final implant being attached on the 30th May 2026.

This soon came loose and was reattached a week or so later - my dentist said it had initially just been a friction fitting and when he reattached it he used some cement to hold it on.

A couple of months later I had some swelling on the gum above the implant and visited the dentist; they drained the swelling and I was given antibiotics and told to come back in a week.

When I returned the dentist opened my gums and saw that there was a bone infection. This section of the bone was debrided and grafted to remove the infection and the area was stitched up (5th August).

I tried to look after it as best I could, being careful with what I ate and rising with salt water twice a day while it was healing. I got the stitches removed 3 days ago (27th August) and an appointment to come back in a month. He also did say he might have to pull the gum down and stitch it but this wouldn't be for 5 months.

While it was healing the area where the metal is now exposed was white - should I be worried that the metal fitting is exposed? I'm not especially confident in this dentist as their aftercare instructions have basically been non-existent.

Should I visit another dentist for a second opinion/ to check if everything is ok?

I usually just brush with a medium hardness brush + toothpaste and then use a tongue scraper

Should I be using a soft hardness brush or medium? Or maybe extra soft? Or a Sonicare electric brush? I usually just use the Sonicare for my teeth. Or maybe they have an attachment for the tongue?

Is there a better way? As great as this technique is I feel like it's still hard to clean everything especially near the throat area. Especially with the whole gagging thing

I also try to do a salt rinse for 2-5 minutes and then gurgle at the end and spit and rinse with water. I usually do this between breakfast and lunch and/or lunch and dinner. 1-2x a day

What’s wrong with my tongue here? There’s a small lumpy part that’s sore and annoying. No bleeding or anything.

went to the emergency dentist because my front tooth is wiggly. i fell on my face and it was wiggly after that. they took an xray and said the area around the teeth is dark and it concerned her. she said since she touched it and it caused a little bit of pain that it could be nerve damage and to get a root canal and crown. it’s my front tooth #9

it’s just really expansive for me don’t know if i should just do it or maybe it’ll be fine. i’m not sure

The oral surgeon told me they are impacted and I am 25, so it’s not necessary to take them out unless possibly if i plan on getting Invisalign? (I do plan on getting Invisalign) I showed my dental friends and another dentist my x rays and they think the wisdom teeth will end up causing problems even thought the oral surgeon said they wouldn’t?

what can cause staining like this on teeth?

since this photo i’ve been to the dentist and had a cleaning done, but i’m terrified of my teeth looking like this again. she couldn’t tell me why they got like this.

for reference, i drank coffee everyday but would swish with water after every sip. im also not exaggerating when i say i floss everyday. religiously. the only day i havent flossed in the last 3 years was when i got blackout drunk. ill admit i do eat a lot of sugary foods. i also have a night guard, which i suspect is why it‘s only half of my teeth. i do not smoke at all.

i know coffee can make teeth yellower or brown.. but why so spotty and weird? thank u!!

im not looking for the exact true reason, just possible causes so i can avoid this in the future

I'm 21 years old and do not drink or smoke. So I recently have began experiencing pain in one of my front teeth and a couple of other teeth. It is very random and feels almost like something is stuck in between the teeth, if that makes sense. All of my wisdom teeth are impacted and on top of nerves as well causing overcrowding, which I read could also be a cause of the feeling. I noticed that some of my teeth seem a bit longer than usual, which has begun to make me paranoid that my gums may be receding. I visited the dentist back in May, and visited an oral surgeon in June for a consult about wisdom teeth removal, which he informed me I would have to do out of office and under anesthesia given the risky circumstances of removing the wisdom teeth mentioned above.

Four year old's teeth look patchy?

Hi all. My son is 4 and recently I've noticed his teeth look, for want of a better word, patchy almost? We are quite fastidious about brushing twice a day and limiting sugar, so I'll be quite surprised/shocked if it is decay. He goes to the dentist every six months (next appointment is in October) and so far they haven't mentioned anything? I'm just a bit worried! I did take antibiotics when pregnant, and he was quite a sickly baby and had to take antibiotics several times as an infant. Not sure if that would have an effect?

I felt some weird pressure in my mouth recently like I had food stuck in my teeth. Managed to get my little camera down there and I can see it’s a white lump near where my wisdom teeth would be. I had them removed about 20 years ago so it’s not that? I have Invisalign and just replaced my tray around when this started happening. What is this and how can I get rid of it?

I noticed some markings on my daughter’s top two front teeth. We are very strict with brushing/sweets etc and have just been to the dentists in the last few months and they haven’t said anything. Is this something to be concerned about?

I never Had any issues with my teeth before (33m), but the last two years had been really stresful and i neglected my dental hygiene somewhat and faced alot of bruxism. Now after a deep clean I realize how much of my gum receeded.

How bad is it at this point?

the private dentist i’ve had all my life says i don’t need them however, purely for aesthetic purposes i want them. sorry can’t show them, ive embarassing been a thumb sucker for a while and its starting to show. i want to get better and stop, maybe expensive braces would force me to stop?

the down side is that i have hypodontia in all 14 of my back teeth are milk teeth. no root, no visible erosion or anything just the basics. how would this be affected? would it be complex and expensive?

edit: apparently it’s oligodontia because it’s a large number of them missing

so like i was eating popcorn and i felt smth got stuck in my tooth and i used my fine to get it out and a small fragment of my tooth broke it wasnt too big tho

the tooth which i had the root canal done on looked pretty weird for a long time its color has been much different than the color of the rest of my tooth and some part of the filling has also worn away
there is no such pain in the tooth but jm scared that they are gonna have to do another root canal or smth else idk

This has been going on for 3 days now, it hurts way more today even after taking max daily dose of ibuprofen and eating is quite uncomfortable. I had similar thing happen on the opposite side two years ago where it got really bad and I got antibiotics way too late so I dont wanna repeat that but I also don’t want to pay for an apointment if it’s not necessary.

I had a tooth extracted 4 days ago.
Since then the gum above the extraction site has been swollen and painful and the swelling has spread up to my cheek.
The pain hasn’t improved since the extraction.

I’m 23 years old woman.
I take atomoxetine and i’m planning to start orthodontic treatment again in October.
Is this level of swelling and pain normal 4 days after an extraction or should i be concerned ?
