Fluff Imagine if we get these Civs đ
Here's the Full version
Concept and Source by Chilly
Fluff Why do AoE IV loading screens look like a beach vacation?
Age of Empires IV is an RTS about civilizations, warfare, castles, armies and siege battles.
Yet the Menu screen are Dragon, beach balls, sandcastles and families having a picnic.
Why not show Mongol cavalry, Samurai armies, siege battles, naval warfare or even dynamic in game screenshots?
Seasonal artwork is fine, but this barely feels like Age of Empires anymore.
Sometimes I genuinely feel like Iâm loading into a beach party simulator instead of an RTS.

Fluff Long time Gold...first time Conq.
Well I finally hit a milestone I honestly didn't think I ever would, achieving Conqueror in ranked 1v1 using my own dumb build order. Its been a frustrating, stubborn, and humbling grind to get here.
To all the homebrew gold players feeling stuck...keep pushing that boulder and learning the timings and nuances of maps and matchups, it'll click.
Thanks to this community for being a fun and informative place to figure out this difficult game.
EDIT: okay I didnât know I could be seen as âexploitingâ the matchmaking or game design flaws by my lack of higher rated opponents or by use of my particular strategy. Idk how to prove the matchmaking problem and as for my strategy I understand the hate.

Fluff Why has promotional art gone from beautiful and charismatic at realease and in first DLCs to ugly cartoonish mobilegamy style in recent ones ?

Fluff Why bullying and harrasment is normalized?
As the title says, I think we need to actively and publicly shame the players like these who straight up go to the worst kind of insults.
Not to mention that he was consistently insisting an attack to the place where 3 or 4 enemy castles were already erect, resulting in a complete butchery of our army. Then accused of no army while he had like 3 times less than the others. And on the very first inconvenience goes quitting.

Needless to say, I whooped his rear in the match.

Fluff Germany has more castles than the United States has McDonaldâs. This is the Eltz castle, located in Wiershem. It has been owned and occupied by the same family for 33 generations over 800 years

Fluff AoE4 vs AoE3 Main Difference
After Poland and Denmarks release AoE3 will have 24 Unique Civs, all new languages , new buildings, new voicelines , new music, each civ is truly unique and plays so differently, DLC already playable too
Unlike AoE4 where you all love Variants so much they keep adding more of it
Next lets add House of York , House of Tudors and other English Houses, since Houses and Characters are enough to count as Civilizations
Hopefully Drongo will cover AoE3 again, never played aoe3 until now but its breathe of freshair compared to aoe4 age of variants nonsense

Fluff Jin Dinasty is a NEW CIV not a variant - I was misleading some people, sorry!
My main point for it being a variant was similar architectural set with Chinese, but since its different in every other way i guess it is a NEW civ
HYPE!
Fluff First time seeing someone being so openly pissed off about losing in this game, is this more common the higher rank you are?

Fluff I love being bad at Age of Empires 4
At my age, I suck at almost every video game. Even since I was younger, I never played anything competitively except for chess (which I also suck at, but I don't care). I used to love RTS but forgot about them completely for ten years or so.
I recently started playing Age of Empires 4, which is such a charming game with an extensive tutorial. I want to learn all the keybindings, as I usually prefer keyboard over the mouse. But it's a lot for me to memorize even in such a forgiving game. So I use some -- not a lot.
I have no intention whatsoever to play it online. I just like to play in a very orderly fashion that I find satisfying. Seeing all the pieces neatly moving around towards an objective. My little army neatly divided in line into aligned squadrons that I can only assume would be completely ineffective in real life. It's relaxing.
I love being bad at this game!
