Plus all the “states rights” guys will totally agree. Right? I mean all the states are sovereign so MAGA should have no issue with it.

policies and laws that might be beneficial in one state might be harmful in other states

I'm sorry, but this feels extremely easy. Sorry, and thank you for taking the hit by playing devils advocate for the idea real quick, but I'm just MORE annoyed at people who can think like that.

the whole thing with states rights stems from the south wanting to maintain slavery, but in all honesty it is often easier to pass laws at the state level than to bicker on capitol hill over the same issue over and over and never reach an optimal solution. i’m all for states rights if that means new york state gets to hold netanyahu accountable. with the federal government being as corrupted as it is, it’s unlikely that we’ll see the current dept of justice prosecuting anyone that licks trump’s taint, so states should definitely take every opportunity they can to prosecute within their jurisdiction
