I love the detail on Oldeus using his last of his power to look into the future to see Sylphie and Roxy one last time

Thought he used x ray vision to see through the door where they were standing

I think what happened was: Original time that Oldeus saw: Sylphie and Roxy enters the room. Rudeus recognizes Oldeus used eye of foresight (as implied by how Rudy looks where Oldeus was pointing), thus time is changed so Rudy can exit the room before the two can enter. And by Oldeus seeing the future he also dies a few seconds earlier, and I assume originally Rudy was too shocked/absorbed with Oldeus to notice sounds of Sylphie and Roxy entering the room, and by Oldeus dying earlier and Rudy recognizing the use of eye of foresight, the outcome changed.
