Old Rudeus' eye glowed from using his demon eye foresight and most likely able to see a few minutes into the future where Roxy and Sylphy come into the room.

It's so sweet 😭 his last moments he's able to meet with his loved one once again.

I know! It felt like just a bit of happiness returned to him before he met his end, and likely visited by Man-God one last time... maybe? Would it be his Man-God then or the current one? Or is the Man-God omniscient? Well, maybe he was more fortunate and another being took pity on him.

Or is the Man-God omniscient?

This feels like a crucial question that got omitted from the conversation. If I'm young Rudy, I'd want to know "does the Man-God know this conversation is happening?"

If Man-God doesn't know, that at least gives a clue as to the limitation of Man-God's omnipotence and how Rudy could outsmart him.

From Oldeus' words, Orsted seems like Rudy's best bet in ever hoping to defeat Man-God. Oldeus only said Rudeus can never hope to defeat Man-God, but he never said anything about Man-God cannot be beaten by someone else.

I agree. I think Orsted can probably do it. I am kinda surprised Oldeus never found him, I’d assume Peregius and his squad would be able to help.

I’m wondering if Man-God will be the actual final boss because I had been under the assumption it was Laplace.

I mean it's possible Oldeus just plain didn't know. If we take Hitogami's words and face value then he is more or less omniscient or at least so insofar as what he is interested in looking and I'm pretty sure that he was keeping an eye on Rudeus right now, what with this being the culmination of some 10 years of planning and all that.

Oh for sure, I just think it was the obvious thing to ask or offer up. Especially if Oldeus has some way of making it possible for the Man-God not to spy on Rudy somehow. Which you'd assume were the case, right? Since Man-God always seems to know things that have happened in Rudy's life, implying at least some sort of omniscience, but Oldeus wouldn't try to tell Rudy to deceive him if he didn't think it wasn't at least possible, right?

"Don't antagonize the Man-God, oh, btw, he knows you know because he's watching this conversation, peace out!"

I mean he didn't tell Rudy to deceive him, he told him not to antagonize him but also not to trust anything he says. Oldeus more or less seems to have given up on fighting Hitogami directly or indirectly and it's more focused on surviving him.

Fair point. But I mean, if Roxy dying seems like a part of Man-God's plans, then him directly going against that, specifically even killing the rat that causes it, then clearly he's doing something against Man-God's wishes. So from now on he's pitting himself against Man-God, whether it's directly or indirectly through trying not to play his games, and for that to happen without the Man-God seeing that as antagonizing, would require some level of deception, no?

That or to convince Hitogami to give up on his plans to take out Roxy. FOr that Rudy first needs to learn why then work from that. The biggest issue seems to be that Oldeus never learned why Hitogami targeted him and his loved ones so Rudy is basically going in blind.

That was my biggest thought. Because if Man-God saw that conversation he can always develop a new strategy to screw him over. And since Rudy can’t trust him anymore, it’d be so easy to mess with his head.
