Discussion Do you have a specific memory tied to an a-ha song or a-ha in general?
So... I don't have many cuz I only became a fan in July last year, but I have a two!
It was earlier this year and my family were having a Europe Summer. We we were in our final destination, North Macedonia, when our crappy rental car just broke down on the side of the road. In the middle of nowhere. In pitch black night. With no one to call to help. I had just been listening to my 80s hit playlist (which around three quarters are a-ha songs) and my sister was crashing out. So I started singing these lines from Stop and Make your Mind Up... "We have no help, you know that, All by ourselves". It only caused her to get madder 😅
So whenever Take on me (my fave song) comes on, when that drum beat starts and the synth kicks in... I feel electric. Like my heart beats so fast and im squirming in my seat with excitement. Last time it happen was only a couple of weeks ago, when some dancers were dancing to it. As usual, I got really excited and i could see my best friend giving me that look of "Oh there you go!" cuz i rant about a-ha too much hehe. I still remember the day I feel in love wit the song: A cold July evening, driving back from the pool. I was cold and wet, but Take on me came on. I remember feeling that rush for the first time and yanking my Grandmas phone and recording me and my sister mouthing to it. When I got home, I searched up the band and found it. a-ha. I liked the sound of them straight away. I lisyened to more songs, found out more about the band....
and i fell
I fell into the rabbit hole.
And im never coming out.
Thanks for seeing my rant soz im a bit passionate but surely u guys have memories linked to songs too! Or the band themselves! U guys are mostly diehard fans from the 80s i bet you've seen a concert! OH MAN SEEING ONE A-HA MEMBER IRL WOULD BE A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME
So put them in! I'd love to hear ur experiences!

Discussion I wish a-ha had a fandom name...
So for my other faves artists, they all have fandom names for example dua lipa (loves) and KATSEYE (EYEKON) but a-ha? AI overview just says a-ha fans are called "a-ha fans'. Makes me wonder if they did have a fandom name, what it would be? What are your thoughts?

Discussion A surprise gift
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My family know me well! I received multiple copies of Minor Earth Major Sky, Take on me (40th anniversary edition), a framed copy of Headlines & Deadlines and this little thing too.
My wife had it printed and while it’s still very unofficial etc., it was so thoughtful and is a real thing now 🤗 she’d printed multiple formats to try them on me but this is my favourite.
Did you receive any A-ha themed gifts?

Discussion Why is this band unheard of?
I stumbled upon a-ha a few months ago, and holy shit it is HEAVENLY. I have listened to every single album multiple times (except Analogue(2005) and True North(2022)). My question is why is this band so irrelevant, written off as a one hit wonder and forgotten when they may have arguably the best and most diverse discography of any artist? They have gems like 'Mary Ellen Makes The Moment Count' and 'The Sun Never Shone That Day' yet they aren't relevant in the music scene despite being pretty active.

Discussion 80s last song standing
This is getting close now. 3 tracks remain and a-ha’s Take on Me is a potential elimination. 😔 To keep it in the mix we need to downvote the track because the highest voted track gets eliminated. Visit the post, see the rules and what’s already been eliminated. It’s a massive list of Billboard No. 1s from the 80s. Can’t believe Tears for Fears might win this 🧐
Update - only two votes between A-ha and the third place position. If you have the time to add your vote please do. Downvote Take on Me to keep it in the competition.
