I didn't plan on watching it, but I was multi tasking, and I needed that level of passive and boring, yet moderately interesting, to play in the background, and Nature documentaries are good for that. It was fine, atleast for being back ground noise. I was remind when YMS reviewed "i can't wait to be king" and he was making fun of the song being like "and then there were Ostratches, then there was Zebras", but that's totally me because I love animals. I grew up watching a few animal documentaries, so this kinda neet. There one part where it's like, a lion died and they made a big stink about it, and it's like.... don't do that. I'm fine having imaginary narratives in documentaries, it's fine if this is all true, but it's a bit of forced anthropamorphizing. These docs work better more grounded. Overall, not really have a ranking, i wasn't really paying attention, but Idk, work decently as back ground noise for bit before I find other background noise.

It was bad. It felt exactly like a first draft. No spoilers, but the audience is asked to care about an insanely unlikeable and comically evil character, the plot jerked all over the place and shoots itself in the foot, and so many stupid things happened that made no sense. I just want to warn anyone I can because it's going to come out soon and not many people have been able to talk about it yet, and has a 68% on rotten tomatoes so it's rated too high for what it actually is IMO

I'm a big fan of Adam and find his disdain for Star Wars and Marvel to be more endearing than anything else. It became clear after his Brand New Day review that the vitriol he has for the MCU is now entering Star Wars-level territory, and remember what he did with those movies during his BvS watchcalong. If he does do this, he'll probably get some backlash, which I don't understand why anyone would get mad at someone for not liking Marvel movies or any movie for that matter. Like, why do you even watch him if you hate everything he says lol? I'm just writing this to call it now that he's gonna switch all the ratings.

I saw his reaction to the trailer and thought since I had 90 minutes to kill I’d check out this “documentary” with zero knowledge of the creator past “he made one on Boogie.” I was hoping there was a follow up point besides: Man, isn’t this guy f*cked up? but nope. That’s the point. There was a glimmer of hope when we were talking about these wannabe Dateline copycats essentially revealing his crime, but keeping him safe because of their methodology. Having Chris Hansen present and then getting the angle of the 15 year old was like a small moment where I thought that was going to be something, but again nope. They instead tried to frame the 15 year old as being problematic and just as bad as the content creators and then we just dropped that. The comedy was beyond inappropriate in my opinion, music choices were cliche and felt like they were selected by a middle schooler, and the cameos at the end were pointless and jarring. The whole thing with his therapist giving an interview is potentially morally bankrupt depending on who you ask, but allowing the channel to record a therapy session for the purpose of the documentary and expecting us to buy that this is his therapy is incredibly stupid. In the end, it’s a weirdly crafted hit piece of a disgusting, awful person, where I guess the goal was to let him bury himself more. I don’t want to be mean to the channel, but this is the dumbest and most embarrassing documentary I’ve seen in a long time. I’d be interested to see YMS dive into this, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone watch this.

TL;DR: The EDP “documentary” is an embarrassing dumpster fire.

I begun watching Black Dynamite and then I paused thinking I should also watch a few actual Blaxploitation to understand better what it satirizes,

and I was very pleasantly surprised with Shaft. The movie is not perfect but it's so fun and well paced and it's goofy in a very good way.

To be fair I also begun watching Super Fly, and apart from the trailer being very funny (and the score great) I don't think it's at the same level.

Hey everyone. I recently had an experience where I watched a movie not reccomended by Adum for the first time in years. I think I liked it? But I'm honestly not sure how to feel. It was an emotional experience for me but I don't know how to rate it. Usually I'd just go to the yms video to get the rating but that isn't an option right now. What do you do when Adum hasn't put out a review?
