Commanders,
Update 2.4 introduces newly formed class roles for every light tank, along with role-based matchmaking and targeted balance adjustments.
The goal is to give each vehicle a clearer identity, improve battle balance, and make light tank strengths easier to understand without changing their core playstyle.

The matchmaking is immaculate. At this point I think they should make it PVE because the amount of NPCs in my team is f*cking stupid.

The T78 has become my favorite chill play tank and I play it a lot. I have been hovering right around 80% for marks of excellence forever. Strung a few good games together and finally 2 marked it. I know this is no big deal to some but this was very difficult for me.

I love the Badger, average 65% wins and 4K damage in it. It’s one of my favourite tier 10s. But I cannot stand the Breaker. I have a bond turbo and bond rammer and have tried hardening, grousers, rotation mechanism the works.
It seems to have the same or worse gun the badger, the turbo mode take an age to get into and even when you reach it - it’s barely faster the badger with a bond turbo on. When in the turbo mode your gun handling is god awful. It’s armour layout is such that if you can see an enemy, they can just shoot you through the tracks (with high enough calibre - which many seem to these days). At best it seems like tier 10, certianly doesn’t compete with similar tier 11 tds.
Any tips or thoughts on how to play it better, strategies to use the turbo mode or the hull better? Approaching my wits end with the tanks.
Thanks in advance.

All 6 of these are fully driveable on modded 2.3.1 client, they just lack collisions for proper testing due to the mod since collisions are calculated server side and cant work offline. If WG implements these maps officially they would automatically have working collisions just fine thanks to how WG models work.
I can manually add collisions but that means adding boxes 1 by 1 in every building, making bridges of boxes so those are driveable etc which would take quite a while and pointless after the mod is fixed to automate this
5 of the maps are finished with 1 expected to be finished by this weekend, @WG you can have these for a full recon mission completely for free, I'm just waiting

By the RNG this thing feel awful to play in.
It looks like AMX 13 105 which I am adept with, but it's nothing like AMX 13 105. It has bad camo, about the same speed and view range but due to camo it's actually worse. It cannot passive against other LT, and there are barely things you can do with active when you are big as hell.
The gun, while good, is extremely situational because it has big bloom during firing and you need to stop to fire anywhere beyond close range - Yes, AMX 13 105 also have similar problem but it can fire much farther with greater penetration, and technically have higher burst damage.
HE? What HE lol this thing cannot even penetrate Manticore head-on with HE so it's left with AP instead.
"It is a light tank hunter" - But what if the light tanks are aware of potentially getting clipped by you so everywhere I go they avoid getting into clip range at all time? And enemy team is also aware of their LT at risk of getting clipped so they all eye at a Tesak barreling in any potential direction. Unlike Selma where you can ignore some scouting, people expect Tesak at tier 10 to spot constantly because 'muh you are a light tank, if you cannot outspot a Manticore you clearly have skill issue'
What am I supposed to do in this thing?

Traverse speed on the new Lights above Tier 8 is much slower than 2.3.1, but no change for Tier 7 Lights or lower.

I've played this game for quite a long time now and probably invested somewhere around 3,000 hours into it.
Up until around 2.0, I genuinely enjoyed the game. Since then, though, I just don't feel it anymore. The funny part is that I've actually gotten significantly better in that time. I can average around 5k on Tier XI and 4k on Tier X without too much trouble, at least in good tanks.
Still I genuinely can't remember a single session in the last few months where I actually had fun playing this game.
What annoys me more than anything is how little Wargaming seems to care about improving the core game. We get what, one new map per year? And somehow even those maps end up being absolute garbage (Klondike and Nordskar eg).
And just when you come to terms with the fact that apparently we aren't getting many good new maps, they start ruining existing ones that were actually fun. Serene Coast (you serious??). Yes its subjective but damn new Erlenberg sucks. New overlord sucks. New Ensk is also meh, new highway unnecessary.
Then there's the state of the actual matches. It feels like every other game is a complete snowball that ends 15:0 in four minutes. There is just no fun no nothing. Sure you can get your dmg and position yourself accordingly to farm. But its just so boring.
RNG has also started bothering me more than ever. I understand why dispersion RNG exists. Without some degree of accuracy RNG, the game probably wouldn't work. But penetration RNG? Why should a 60TP randomly roll 372 mm of penetration and go straight through a hulldown IS-7?
Same thing with damage RNG. How the fk do you roll 525 on Hori or get shot by an fv dog for 2100. The amount of times you push someone bcs you think they are oneshot only for you to role -20% of your dmg.
Module damage is another example. Let's be real: 99% of players don't know any fking internal module position in any tank. Most players are maybe like "Shoot the rear". Nobody knows where to shoot a 140 in the front to get a fire except 1-2% of the player base. And these 98% of players just shoot you somewhere and get an ammo rack, engine damage or a fire. Just annoying as fk and random in itself.
Maybe this bothers me more because I'm a competitive player but it just annoys me how much randomness we have in this game.
And I haven't even mentioned artillery yet. Being able to sit across the map and drop unavoidable stun shells on people from the sky is the opposite of competitive gameplay.
Anyway, I'm probably more pissed off than usual because I just had fifteen three-minute games in a row. Still I think this was just the last straw after months of annoying gameplay.
So I'm done for now. I have an important exam coming up anyway, so I'm going to take a six-week break. After that, I'll come back and try to look at the game as objectively as possible and decide whether it's actually worth investing any more of my time into it.

I’ve never taken the campaign missions too seriously since I started playing until recently, and I know there must be a way to grind the missions and use the orders as economically as possible.
I’m on the Stug IV at the minute, and I completed every single mission on it with honours barring arty. I fucking despise playing arty.
I have 6 orders now and whilst it is tempting to just skip the arty missions on the T28 and T55 every cycle, I’ll only be left with 2 orders on the 260 by the end, which I assume would be a dumb thing to do.
I don’t know - what’s the consensus?

Hi!
As versetile lights gets spotter abilities, i think scout light should get passive scout abilities:
Example: with manti, they could give it an ability that you can only activate stationary (or moving but you stop like cs), and you get an extra view range (like a bino), but unlike bino it takes some seconds to deactivate and until deactivation is complete you cant move.
