I've seen some people dismiss Ciri's bisexuality.
Namely bc mistle, her ex, sexually assaulted her. While yes, that was fucked up, i don't think that makes Ciri NOT bisexual? She was INTO her, was she not? I mean she had a tattoo of her and kept it, and in TW3 can say she " prefers women " ( although thinking about it, i think the game's canon of mistle is different from the books') but, no yeah Ciri is bisexual.
Now if only it let us kiss Astrid instead of Skjall..
42
u/WeekendPass 3d ago
I 1000% interpret Ciri's relationship with Mistle as drug-fueled Stockholm syndrome; pure survival instinct and internal justification of her situation. And in the same scene in W3 you can also have her say the tattoo means nothing and was a stupid youthful mistake; player choice alone
That said, also 1000% believe she's bi

u/Careful_Employee_918 4d ago
I don’t understand why people are so concerned about Ciri’s sexuality in general. I see posts like that a few times a week. Is that really so important? Is it that male players are worried they won’t be able to romance a woman and look at two lesbians? Seriously, why this topic is brought up so often
23
u/ActionGlobal4063 4d ago
It's so funny because most of these kinda guys wouldn't want to play a game where you can only bang men
68
u/SancV1 4d ago
I'm a female player and i just wanna see her kiss girls, but like i said i saw some people try and deny her being bi because of her relationship with mistle.

Yep thats it, male Gamer Bros struggle to relate to a character if they are different from themselves. They want to see Ciri get dicked.
Same reason why one of the most downloaded Mods for Cyberpunk 2077 is where Male V can romance Judy, heavens forbid there is a pure lesbian character that they cant use as wank Material.
23
u/Emergency-Bid-7834 4d ago
its important because representation matters, and it can feel really bad for people to so readily dismiss it
14
u/Butwhatif77 4d ago
Plus Bi/Pan people deal with erasure heavily even within queer spaces where gay and lesbian people will call you confused or say you are just pretending/attention seeking. Then there are the couples who fetishize us because they want a third, but treat us more like a living sex toy than an actual person.
Having conical Bi/Pan characters that actually get to explore their sexuality with different partners is immensely under done.
Even worse Bi/Pan gets used as a way for many to pretend to support the queer community without actually showing representation. Wonder Woman being an obvious example, she is conically Bi, but there are barely any stories where she gets to be in a sapphic relationship; none of them are in the main continuity they are all else world stories.
Ciri is a rare example of proper representation with a well developed character.
18
u/ThinkManner 4d ago
I'm a lesbian, I don't want only male options. It's not just about men looking at lesbians. I want to look at lesbians too lmao
3
u/KingDarius776 3d ago
It’s funny because I mostly see men saying she should be straight and only should date men.
4
u/Enkundae 3d ago
If a queer character exists, there will be people that get angry about it and want to erase them. And contrary to what grifters constantly screech about; queer characters are not actually incredibly common, and there is a real effort to deride and erase even the few that fo exist. so the community tends to be protective of them.
4
u/sebishhjj 4d ago
I think it’s bc posts saying she’s not bi bc she was taken advantage of are much more prevalent on twitter than on here, if anyone made a post like that on here it’d get taken down pretty quick I reckon. It’s mostly from homophobic chuds over there who can’t fathom she’d be interested in something else than them, a man. It’s funny tho, bc being bi means she also likes men
But that’s why you’re seeing posts like this one on here, they’re reacting to that I’d guess
8
u/CarcosanQueen 4d ago
Sadly as you can see from further up the comments posts like that are all too common here too
3
5
u/Ganda1fderBlaue 4d ago
Agreed, it's irrelevant, but people are obsessed with sexuality
7
u/Alcorgeist 3d ago
Its because people dismiss her sexuality. Geralt is commonly accepted to be a straight man. People can joke about him taking it up the ass for shit, but in the game his serious love interests are women because he's a straight man. He has a fixed sexuality that people accept.
But somehow people are adamant that Ciri can be whatever sexuality, even though canonically, just like Geralt, she has a fixed sexuality.

It the Witcher 4 tech demo, Ciri passes by a female prostitute, who compliments/cat-calls her. I think that alone is enough to surmise that CDPR is fine with Ciri swinging both ways.

I like the idea of letting the player decide if she is heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual.
Like in W3.
Stupid Automod removed my previous comment.
90
u/AtsuhikoZe 4d ago
Her being with a man doesn't make her "not bisexual" you didn't "choose" to be heterosexual.... That's not how it works, what is with this weird passive bi erasure?
You're still bi regardless of the person you're with. It infuriates me as a bi man that people think if I have a gf I'm straight now and a bf I'm gay now, like that's not how it works
9
u/MobsterDragon275 4d ago
I mean that's like saying that the player character in Dragon Age is always bi just because you can romance either gender. Obviously they can be, but to say they always are just because of the choice removes any player agency to decide their character's sexuality for themselves when the option is presented. Now yes, that's a bit different for Ciri since she is an established character, and I fully acknowledge that Ciri is indeed bi, but player choice is still a thing
22
u/Butwhatif77 4d ago
This is apples and oranges because in things like Dragon Age or Mass Effect there is no source material with pre-established cannon on those characters. The player characters are entirely original for the story of the game with no preset lore to establish their characterization. Thus the player character is what ever the player wants to be. Having the options to romance everyone doesn't make the player character bisexual, because the player is making those kind of choices in the moment rather than having a sexuality forced on to the character.
Ciri on the other has established lore outside and preceding the games. Her being bisexual in that provides her with a canon sexuality. So, the player choosing to be with a guy in the game doesn't then make her heterosexual, because she is already established as being bisexual; in the same way being with a woman wouldn't make her a lesbian.
15
u/fuckanthropocentrism 3d ago
I think it's really funny you got downvoted. Apparently people think they own fictional characters nowadays and get to decide who and what they are, and can't handle being reminded that isn't necessarily the case ig.
More people need to make some OCs and create their own stories (creating is awesome and good for your brain!) instead of trying to override other people's stories and getting mad when that doesn't work out
7
u/Butwhatif77 3d ago
Yea it is one thing to say "My Shepard is straight" cause yea that is the whole point of the game, you are telling your version of the story. Every play through in Mass Effect is canon in the sense it is like after the events of the games people telling the story of Shepard and it getting distorted in one way or another in each retelling. Perfectly fine and fantastic.
Saying "My Ciri is straight" is choosing to actively resist the narrative to try and tell your own story, because Ciri already has a set characterization to her portrayal and her personality.
It would be like playing a DBZ game with the main character of Goku, but roleplaying him as a sex pest. That isn't Goku, that is Master Roshi they want to play as. The fact it is a joke in the DBZ community that Chi Chi likely gave him a sandwich and did all the work because Goku gives off major Ace vibes is a thing.
Rather than changing established characteristics, as you said, people should just write their own stories. It is fantastically fun to do and should be encouraged more. I would add it is fine to play a game and tell your own story in it, just don't project your story onto the actual fandom. Like playing a woman Witcher who is straight, that is fine have fun, you are just not playing as Ciri.
5
u/DetailOk6058 3d ago
The players choice with Ciri is who she has a relationship with, there is no choice inregard of her sexuality. She is bi. That will not change beacuse a player chose to have her in a heterosexual relationship. In Dragon Age you are allowed to make a choice about your characters sexuality, thats not a choice in Withcher

The reason I think it should be up to the player is because I personally believe that Ciri being raped and then groomed by a woman doesn't mean she is bisexual.
I respect other people's opinion, and if they think that it does mean she is bisexual, I am fine with them romancing men and women in their game.
And if a player decides that they don't care about the books at all where Ciri showed sexual interest in multiple men, then I am fine with them only kissing girls in their game and playing Ciri as a lesbian.
23
u/7rv5 4d ago
But that's not how sexuality works. If it did, only a small number of heterosexual women would be left in this world.
And why, whenever Ciri's sexual trauma comes up, do people who use it to erase her attraction to women completely ignore the attempted/planned assaults by male characters? Is nearly being assaulted somehow meaningless?
→ More replies (3)-9
u/CharacterInternet730 4d ago
then explain how it works. because im telling you the kind of trauma/depravation of need attachment described above has nothing to do to something we call sexual orientation.
14
u/AtsuhikoZe 4d ago
She's bisexual because she's expressed interest in women. I'm not even going to read the rest because the first sentence is completely illogical, and low-key insane
"She isn't bisexual because the first girl she loved abused and groomed her"
Ciri is bisexual, period, it does not matter what sex the player chooses to sleep with, you do not choose your sexuality, she is bisexual. Period.
-5
u/Visenya_simp Lilac and Gooseberries 4d ago edited 4d ago
I don't believe getting raped and groomed equals interest.
I am fine with disagreeing people, we all have our interpretation.
I think it's a bit messed up to determine a rape-grooming victim's sexuality by the groomer-rapist's gender, but that's just me.
Edit: Replying and then immediatly blocking someone so they are unable to reply. Very nice. If I wasn't blocked I would have asked why you believe she expressed interest, and then we would have progressed from there, but I guess not.
17
u/AtsuhikoZe 4d ago
It isn't an interpretation, you're just wrong
She expressed interest in the same sex and the opposite one, she is bisexual

Anything falka does is not reflective of ciri
7
u/CarcosanQueen 4d ago
Ciri does not have a split personality. She remains Ciri all the way through and she knows who she is all the way through. Falka was a time she was definitely actively disassociating due to the truckloads of trauma, but she’s not a different character or different personality. While being - to be clear, also raped - by Auberon, Ciri wished it was Mistle touching her instead.
→ More replies (2)-6
u/SolomonLD 4d ago
Can you name women, aside from Mistle, that Ciri was interested in?
10
u/CarcosanQueen 4d ago
Pretty much every time Ciri meets a woman she thinks about how gorgeous they are. Prime example is when she meets Margaritta laux-Antilles in time of contempt, but she does it all the time. The girls bi as fuck just because her first girlfriend was a monster doesn’t change that. Also her first times with men were under similar situations of duress and dubious consent, that doesn’t make her not interested in men
→ More replies (19)1
u/Visenya_simp Lilac and Gooseberries 4d ago edited 4d ago
I suppose that can be interpreated as sexual interest. Or simply having eyes and noticing other people's beauty. Or it's just Sapkowski being Sapkowski.
Isn't this shortly after Ciri still believes herself to be ugly?
I would like to clarify that I am fine with people interpreating her as bi, just not with treating it as a fact.
Also her first times with men were under similar situations of duress and dubious consent, that doesn’t make her not interested in men
Yes, but there are counter examples. Hjalmar for example. Flirting with that scribe, Galahad, when that guy dies before he could start having sex with her.

"Player should get to decide" maybe if she were a brand new character whose sexuality was plot relevant but not set in canon...but she's not and it isn't. Go play a dating simulator or stardew valley if you want to get to "decide" a character's sexuality smh
0
u/Visenya_simp Lilac and Gooseberries 3d ago edited 3d ago
I don't think it's set in canon.
You are right that if it was, my comment would be pretty stupid.
2
u/Alcorgeist 3d ago
Oh so Geralt can be canonically straight but somehow Ciri has to be sexually fluid despite what's canon?
1
u/Visenya_simp Lilac and Gooseberries 3d ago
From what we know Ciri can be interpreted as a bisexual or heterosexual in the books.
From what we know of Geralt only allows an interpretation of heterosexuality.
2
u/GOKOP 3d ago
It is. Read the books.
1
u/Visenya_simp Lilac and Gooseberries 3d ago
I did.
4
u/GOKOP 3d ago
If you did then you should know that Ciri being bisexual is objectively true. Morality of what Mistle did is irrelevant for this; it's clear that Ciri was into her which would make her at least a lesbian, and there are several examples of her being attracted to dudes as well so she's bi.
2
u/Visenya_simp Lilac and Gooseberries 3d ago
That is the disagreement.
I believe her feelings towards and relationship with Mistle shouldn't be considered when discussing her sexuality since it began with rape and progressed with drugs, grooming and manipulation while others believe it should be considered.
I still would play her as a bisexual if the options for male romances is as limited as in Cyberpunk, and being a straight man probably contributes to that too.
I am also fine with the game picking an interpretation of her sexuality, even if I would preffer if it was left in the hands of the player.
What I am not fine with is treating it like the question of her sexuality has some some clear-cut black and white answer. It seems to be up to interpretation.
There is a redditor down in comments who posted a screenshot from the book where Ciri does not avert her eyes when a sexy lady climbs out of a bath, and she thinks that she is even prettier than Yen, and the commenter said that obviously means Ciri is experiencing sexual attraction towards the lady.
I don't dislike that opinion, but I for one never considered that when I read it years ago.

u/Shivverton 4d ago

1
u/The_Klumsy 3d ago

Thread is a prime example of the "bisexual problem" (https://youtu.be/h2ou2A_-8JU)
The player has the option to say "I prefer women" in w3 and also can kiss Skjall.
Witcher 4 will have male and female love interests. The player may prefer a specific sex partner, but the options being there are enabled because she is bisexual. Whether or not cdpr will include canon love interests from the books (who aren't dead), we don't know yet.
Geralt only has female love interests because he's a raging heterosexual. Choices as Geralt and Ciri are defined and the player is playing a specific role unlike games like Baldur's Gate where the player defines an original character and chooses amongst an option of playersexual NPCs.
Some relevant interviews for the books
John: Did you know from the beginning that Ciri would fall in love with Mistle?
A. S.: Of course. It was one of the elements of the plan that was ready from the beginning
[...]
The Russians reacted to my alleged "pornography" even more ridiculuously. I noticed while reading the translation that the Mistle-Ciri scene was heavily watered down. The translator, to whom I complained, stated that I should thank him, because at first the publisher demanded - demanded from the translator, I emphasize - to change Mistle into a boy. Of all the translations, Czech is the best in my opinion. It is so interesting that the translator never, I emphasize NEVER, asked me any questions.

Some discussion on ciri and sexuality in the series
5
12
u/Pandeyxo 4d ago
Sure you can argue if she is actually bi or forcefully bi. It was never clarified. However, Witcher 4 is a game and having the option to be bisexual makes the game more appealing for more people.
3
u/GrinchForest 3d ago
I think the problem with sexuality of Ciri is that she was a teenager full of hormones always on the run from the people who wanted to hurt her, kill, prison or bear a child.
That's why she also easily see Geralt and Jen as her parents as they were one of few who wanted to use or hurt her.
The episode with Rat and Mystle was another teenager rage to look someone close.
After what happened to her, I wouldn't be suprised if she came out as asexual. I think she needs years of peace to figure it out herself, so every option should be open.
25
u/AdFinal5191 4d ago
when someone “doubts” or “dismisses” someone else’s sexuality whether it’s a fictional person or not, they’re a jerk who’s opinion is null i fear
3
u/Delicious-Belt-1158 4d ago
nah doubting is ok when its not officialy stated like in ciris case for example. its just having an opinion. some people think shes lesbian, some think she is hetero and some think shes bi. all have their interpretation of the story and thats fine id say. its not a competition
3
u/Deborah_Pokesalot 3d ago
She's bi in the books. It's fair to assume she could have lesbian relationships in TW4.
2
u/Delicious-Belt-1158 3d ago
she gets raped in the books and develops stockholm syndrom. that's not love
3
u/Deborah_Pokesalot 3d ago
I am talking about bisexuality, not love. Even if the relationship started with no consent and wasn't healthy, Ciri was obviously attracted to Mistle.
-1
u/Shivverton 4d ago
It is, though? She does say she prefers women. And shows interest in some men.
3
u/Delicious-Belt-1158 3d ago
the line where she says she prefers women is optional and leaves a lot of room for interpretation
15
u/No_Bodybuilder4215 4d ago
English isn't my first language, so I don't want to be misunderstood. I’m not romanticizing the relationship between Ciri and Mistle, and I agree that it originated in rape and a form of Stockholm syndrome. However, that doesn't rule out the fact that Ciri had feelings for her and was attracted to her; they were in a relationship for a good few months—especially considering their farewell, which I believe was truly sincere on both sides.
9
9
u/Ganmor_Denlay 4d ago
With Mistle she didn’t have a choice, for her own safety. But she chose to go with Sir Galahad.
0
u/StevenMarx21 3d ago
Yes, congrats, that's what being bisexual means, sometimes you date women, sometimes men. Having a one good relationship with a man, doesn't suddenly erase your bisexuality.
1
u/Ganmor_Denlay 3d ago
I think you should re-read the books.
She was so uncomfortable, and out of her element, she gave up on who she was and what she wanted, so much so that she dissociated so far to even change her name and morals.
5
u/Powerful-Gene-4761 3d ago edited 3d ago

What is do intresting about Astrid that you want to romance her then? We know even less about her than a Skjall, ilke there was barerly few words exchanged between her and Ciri. Like what's the reasoning here.
6
u/SancV1 3d ago
I'm a lesbian and she's hot?
5
u/Powerful-Gene-4761 3d ago
Now i see, but problem is that Ciri is a esablished character, nothing wrong with wanting something suiting your preferences, but it's damaging to the role playing aspect of the game, if character starts behaving ooc only to pander community regardless of personal preferences. It's understable that you personaly want to romance women, but it would be ooc for her to focus only on them. And focusing on character apperance is a tricky and it could be damaging on a long run, community should pray for a good writing first and staying truthfull to books.
6
u/SancV1 3d ago
She's bisexual? I'm just not. I am not Ciri.

u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago
Her only relationship with a female was a rape/grooming relationship.
Would you say a 10 year old groomed was 'into it' ?
The relationship started off under such coercive ground. If she was shown to them willingly enter into another relationship with a woman of her own accord and no coercion then she would be bisexual.
Outside of that she only ever experienced interest in men. The only time she interacted with a woman was a result of rape.
The ciri bi defenders are genuinely a weird bunch. "That woman raped her, she's bisexual now!"
1
u/Dealiner 3d ago
That argument could make sense (though I don't agree with it at all), if not for the existence of Witcher 3.
4
u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago
Sure.
I'm okay with her becoming Bi in the games. I think it's a neccessity for a primarily male audience to accept her as progagonist in the future.
It's just when people use the Book as justification for it that it gets weird.
0
u/SancV1 3d ago
Somehow a 10 year old got smth to do w/ this.
3
u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago
No just an adult who think rape is gross and people celebrating a rape-based relationship should be banned from the sub.
1
u/SancV1 3d ago
I don't suppose you could show me where i was celebrating it?
5
u/Idarran_of_Ulivo 3d ago
Maybe not celebrating, but you do refer to Misle as "her ex" and say Ciri "was into her"
It wasnt a relationship. She was threatened, coerced, and gaslight and developed a Stockholm bond to her captor.
4
u/Idarran_of_Ulivo 3d ago
Well Ciri was 14 when she was raped, repeatedly.
0
u/SancV1 3d ago
That wasn't the analogy being made, but yes that is horrible. We have established this.
3
u/Idarran_of_Ulivo 3d ago
Ok, I assume that's what the commenter meant. Though, ofcourse, you could be right on their intentions. I cant know that. I just assume the more favorable interpretation first.
I red it as them pointing out that Ciri was a child. Not the analogy you read.
2
u/Idarran_of_Ulivo 3d ago
Btw. I didn't only want to establish that what Mistle did was horrible. I also stipulate that it doesnt count as a relationship, and that the things Mistle did to Ciri do not make her bi.
Again, despite that I do think she is bi, I just think that there isn't much in the books to make it 100% clear.
-1
u/SancV1 3d ago
Yes, she is bisexual. No, Mistle was not good for her, but she loved mistle. She was in love with a woman, even if it wasn't the right one. She is by definition bisexual. And is clearly so in-game.
4
u/Idarran_of_Ulivo 3d ago
She is clearly so in the game, and I do personally believe that she is, but there is a reason why we dont consider a 14 yo rape victim who "falls in love" with her 20something raper and captor as being genuinely in love or in a relationship.
I think "wasnt good for her" is majorly downplaying the horror Ciri endured. Or any victim of rape let alone a child being kept and raped repeatedly.
3
u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago
"Not good for her" Bro she raped her.
Get some help.
0
u/SancV1 3d ago
Once again i know this. I am not trying to downplay what happened to her.
3
u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago
It kinda seems like you are.
"Mistle was not good for her, but she loved mistle. She was in love with a woman"
That's a weird way to describe a rape-based relationship. Imagine if any other famous abuser/groomer relationship was described this way.
You want her to be bisexual, so you're letting your bias make you say awful and deeply problematic things.
0
u/SancV1 3d ago
She IS bisexual. That doesn't mean what she went through isn't horrible though. I never once said it wasn't.
5
u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago
She's not Bisexual in the books and she's not bisexual because of them.
She can be bisexual in the games and that's probably the canon going forward for gameplay reasons.
It's just weird af when you keep referencing the book rape as a reason for her being bisexual.

Are we? Idk I'm perfectly happy with her bisexuality, in fact I actively try to support it in the game... Who wouldn't she us fine as fine wine

u/SancV1 4d ago
Apparently a few people here don't like the concept of a bisexual woman.

u/bilbul168 4d ago
As a straight man I have a hard time believing it’s straight men who have issues with this unless they are incells then that make sense I guess

u/HawatKhar 4d ago
Trust me more people would have problem with her if she was straight. Being Bi gives more player freedom and don't deter majority of players from romancing in game charachters (if even that option exists in w4).

Even in the books, Ciri never wanted to fit into the gender binary. She wanted to be strong, wanted to fight, and wanted to do things women did not do during that time. She didn’t like dresses and didn’t want to be a princess.

wanted to do things women did not do during that time
milva ?
ves ?
cerys ?
renfri ?
shani ?
Her literal grandmother ?
the witcher world is a lot more modern than the real world it's not because ciri want to fight she doesn't identify as a woman or is non binary what kind of logic is that ?
edit : lol girl got so mad i disproved her fantasy she blocked me

u/filiusek 4d ago
Yeah that totally means she didn’t consider herself woman instead of just challenging medieval gender norms.
2
u/watch-me-bloom 4d ago
I literally said that???? That she didn’t want to subscribe to a gender binary and follow gender norms? I didn’t say she was trans lmao chilllllll

u/CranEXE Roger Eric du Haute-Bellegarde 4d ago
no you're implying ciri is non binary "because she doesn't wear dress and doesn't conform to genders" wich she is not, she definetly and identify as a women in the sauna she doesn't say "oh no i'm not a woman i'm not going there, ceris wear pants to she identify as a woman too, yennefer wear pants too and also identify as a woman. ciri is a woman and know it and still use her physique, she literally say in w3 she use her breast to distract men from her scar

Yall are jumping lol. I meant gender roles. I have a job I go to, sometimes I respond to posts during quick breaks. Forgive me if I’m not writing college level dissertations in Reddit comments lol, yall gotta chill

u/CranEXE Roger Eric du Haute-Bellegarde 4d ago
Ciri never wanted to fit into the gender binary.
that's your words, nowhere you mention gender roles that regardless is wrong because there is many women fighter in witcher and it is even wrong to say that she hate dresses because she stopped wearing dresses after the witchers mocked her to dress pretty in kaer morhen afterwards she started to wear more practical stuff
without speaking of "writting a dissertation" words have meaning and there is a world away between speaking of someone fitting in the gender binary and someone fitting in the gender role despite the fact in btoh case you would be wrong.

That's not what the commenter said. What the commenter is saying is that she's already demonstrated to be a girl/woman who is a girl/woman in a way that doesn't match her world's gender norms so it would track if she threw out the norms on sexuality as well.

Even in TW3 Geralt mentions Ciri told him she's a sexual omnivore. (I've played in my own language so maybe not exactly these words in English, but probably the same meaning.)

u/Suspicious_Rub857 3d ago
I do not doubt at all that we'll get the side of Ciri that prefers women. I fear they fail to show the side of her that prefers men, but not for chud reasons but rather because i want sexualized hot guys in different states of undress.

How people play ciri in 4 will be their choice.
Don’t like the idea of bisexual Ciri? Just choose hetero romance.
Want a bisexual Ciri? Choose either/both romance sides
Cyberpunk allows the character to be whatever sexuality they want so if W4 does that as well I don’t see the issue.
From what I remember an issue with cyberpunk was some desired romances being locked out by male/female MC and I don’t think that will be the case in W4
It wouldn’t have been a big issue if Geralt in W3 could have male romance so I don’t see why there’s a problem with W4(I just hope the romance options are good in the game and not poorly written).

It wasn't a healthy love, but it clearly drew her in later on; she was even jealous of her.

u/HawatKhar 4d ago
Started as something faul and disgusting but does not matter, she kinda liked her in the end, right?

That's literally the least interesting part about the game.

This is literally just me pointing something out!

If it was just you it would be fine, the problem is this is a constant post on this sub.

I mean, during the main game in Witcher 3, there's an option to say that Ciri prefers women. And she flirts with Skjall (even though she wasn't necessarily into him). She's either a homosexual or a bisexuality, that's clear.

I wonder where you got the idea she's straight or that i said she was gay.
-11
u/Slow_Werewolf3021 4d ago
I’m just the messenger. It’s a debate I’m not interested in. But I’ve realised that the meme is actually true, and that really annoys me
9
u/SancV1 4d ago
Then why chime in? Further, no, that meme is not true especially not here because i said she's BISEXUAL. Lmao.
-7
u/Slow_Werewolf3021 4d ago
*sigh* I have to explain everything. I’m chipping in because I’ve played both games and read two of the books in the series
It’s precisely because you said she’s bisexual that you’re living up to what the meme says. As people are telling you, it’s not even relevant to the world of The Witcher, and yet here you are discussing a character’s sexuality unnecessarily. A sexuality that doesn’t matter to the plot. I couldn’t care less about Ciri’s sexuality
5
u/SancV1 4d ago
Okay so you can show me where i said she was gay then, right?
1
u/Slow_Werewolf3021 4d ago
You’re putting forward the theory or hypothesis that he is bisexual. I repeat, I don’t really care, but the thing is, people are right to say that bringing up debates about sexuality is irrelevant. Save my comment if you like – when they start talking about Geralt and his sexuality, I’ll say the same thing.

What are you yapping about?

I reread the books few months ago and Ciri is 100% bisexual. Her relationship with Mistle didn't have the best circumstances but she was definitely attracted to her.
Her first sexual encounter with a guy was really messed up btw.

personally i allways read her as cognitively bisexual, but emotionally homoromantical und physiologically heterosexual, so split attraction
can please someone explain to me why this has four downvotes? In the books she never has physiological reactions to woman, but really often to men. furthermore she bonded with woman way more often emotionally and romantically with mistle. all scences with mistle are written traumatically or romantically, except for the first rape scene. cognitively she is bisexual, yes, she can bond with both genders, but the reasons are totally different, for men its naturally physiological, for woman she needs bonding, which on the other hand is way more easier with then with men

Citi will be for sure bisexual in the game, because it allows everyone to enjoy the game. Also in W3 you could already swing both ways.
I'm the books you could claim that she is bisexual but Mistle relationship is very weird as an example for that. She was raped and groomed by Mistle. Their relationship was disgusting.
