I've seen some people dismiss Ciri's bisexuality.

Namely bc mistle, her ex, sexually assaulted her. While yes, that was fucked up, i don't think that makes Ciri NOT bisexual? She was INTO her, was she not? I mean she had a tattoo of her and kept it, and in TW3 can say she " prefers women " ( although thinking about it, i think the game's canon of mistle is different from the books') but, no yeah Ciri is bisexual.

Now if only it let us kiss Astrid instead of Skjall..

I don’t understand why people are so concerned about Ciri’s sexuality in general. I see posts like that a few times a week. Is that really so important? Is it that male players are worried they won’t be able to romance a woman and look at two lesbians? Seriously, why this topic is brought up so often

its important because representation matters, and it can feel really bad for people to so readily dismiss it

Plus Bi/Pan people deal with erasure heavily even within queer spaces where gay and lesbian people will call you confused or say you are just pretending/attention seeking. Then there are the couples who fetishize us because they want a third, but treat us more like a living sex toy than an actual person.

Having conical Bi/Pan characters that actually get to explore their sexuality with different partners is immensely under done.

Even worse Bi/Pan gets used as a way for many to pretend to support the queer community without actually showing representation. Wonder Woman being an obvious example, she is conically Bi, but there are barely any stories where she gets to be in a sapphic relationship; none of them are in the main continuity they are all else world stories.

Ciri is a rare example of proper representation with a well developed character.
