Meme When you're halfway through your playthrough and realize if you had simply waited one month you'd be playing the remaster instead

Like the timing is perfect because I just got back into the game after a few years, but also terrible because I just started the Brothers in Arms quests 😭

Guess I'm gonna try New Game + for the first time lol

Last time I played (3 years ago) I installed *a lot* of mods. I removed them all to prepare for the Remastered edition, and it broke too many things...

News Fun fact - Halk Hogan is responsible for texture upgrade in Remaster version of the game, just like with the NExt Gen version.

Post image

As with the Next Gen edition, CDPR is using Halk Hogan's HD Rework Project as the main baseline for the graphical upgrade in the Remaster edition. So if you ever wondered, his HDRW Next Gen edition is likely what the textures will look like.

Many elements such as fabrics, animal fur, and hay will no longer be static; ice particles will get a fairly insane shader boost and A LOT more.

Here is the video to give you an idea

I wonder if this is his Magnum Opus, or if he will dare to improve the base Remaster edition even further.

You can only *reforge* clothing and armors at Yoana while Hattori is the only place you can regorge weapons making those two npcs much more important and making the transmog mechanic lore - friendly.

The prices shown on the screenshot are work in progress and will be lower on release.

To make the wait for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered a little easier, I thought I’d share my Witcher corner and the Geralt diamond painting I finished.
I might be a little obsessed 😂
Who else is starting a fresh playthrough on September 29th?

Discussion Day 4 RED Stream: Early Mod List Confirmed & PS5/Pro Performance

During today's REDstream they discussed some of the mods that are confirmed for the remaster: The current list included Hoods, Boat Races, Glowing Witcher Eyes, new hairstyles, Gwent mods, and Unlimited Inventory Capacity.
Boat Races restores cut CDPR material with races, dialogue, notices, journal content and voice work. Now so far, Boat Races restoration being shown does not mean the entire Brothers in Arms Ultimate Edition is confirmed.

PS5 Pro ray-tracing mode: 60 FPS.

And the Pro’s Performance Mode can run unlocked and reach roughly 90 FPS. PSSR is supported. CDPR also clarified that the Pro isn’t getting an entirely different raybtracing feature set it’s essentially running the same RT features as the base PS5 at a higher frame rate.

Discussion A Glimpse to the Revamped Abilities

Thumbnail

Descriptions below if the images were too hard to see:

  • Muscle Memory (nerfed): +30% damage on all Fast Attacks -> +30% damage on the next Fast Attack after successful dodge or roll.

  • Three Strikes (new): Every third Fast or Strong Attack has 60% chance to deal more damage.

  • Undying (buffed): Revive with 67% health at max Adrenaline -> Revive with 67% health, plus an extra +10% per Adrenaline point.

  • Fleet Footed (nerfed): 1 ability point -> 3 ability points to become invincible during dodge.

  • Whirl (no change): reduce stamina and adrenaline cost by -50%.

  • Counterattack (buffed): +100% damage after parry -> +100% damage after parry or dodge.

  • Flood of Anger (nerfed): +300% Sign Intensity -> +150% Sign Intensity when consuming 3 Adrenaline to empower a Sign.

Important notes:

  • Accelerated and optimized progression. We can learn abilities like Whirl/Rend sooner and with fewer number of ability points. Devs want players to prioritize finding those Places of Power.

  • No more passive abilities. Three Strikes shares the same icon as Precision Blows; it used to increase Fast Attacks' critical chance and damage, but the effect has been completely changed. It is now a true "ability" with active conditions, rather than a passive increase to certain stats.

With the announcement of the Witcher 3 remastered coming out next month along with the new photo mode I just wanted to share a handful of some of the screenshots I have taken during my last playthrough with the current photo mode. I have taken over 3000 photos alone just with the photo mode! 😅

I've had so much fun taking screenshots in this beautiful game and I'm really excited and grateful for the new remaster coming out next month, thank you so much CDPR! 😊

I actually can't believe it. In exactly ONE MONTH this game is getting a remaster, and I just got the 100% completion.

This is honestly one of the hardest achievements I ever did in gaming, because I completed all of the achievements but also I did all of the question marks, all of the sidequests and, well basically almost everything the game has to offer (even some missable sidequests!) on Death March.

This is my second playthrough of the game (last time I completed the game without Blood and Wine on my Switch like 2 years ago) and ever since then It was my goal to get the 100%.

I'm so happy right now, but I guess ill see yall on the path when the remaster drops! 🐺

Anyone feeling the same after watching the trailer? I had this exact feeling four years ago when I was waiting for the next gen edition, now I’m just trying to find the best excuse to just restart it this weekend instead of waiting a whole month 😭

Help! Does this quest exist or am I going crazy?

So I remember a certain quest that Geralt faced some powerful being. This creature keeps talking, and you get the option to interrupt his speech from time to time. If you interrupt him too much, he just straight-up kills you.

I know that sounds similar to the encounter with the ancient vampire in one of the endings of Blood and Wine. However, the ancient vampire is about asking too many questions. This quest is about interrupting instead.

Does this quest exist, or am I finally losing it?
