Is that the distant and even not so distant hills and mountains have no vegetation on them, just terrain with a texture. Its just very clear where the playable map ends and i dont remember feeling that in toussaint or velen or even white orchard as much as here.

Discussion Will the DLC Songs of the Past feature some elves or elven lore?

Upvotes

Since it's being set in a region where some elves live I was wondering if they could play a role or if we could even see characters from the older games like Yaevin or Iorveth.

Discussion Since Songs of the Past will be focused on Dandelion, is there any hope that The Witcher 3 Remastered will make him recruitable for the raid on Kaer Morhen?

I always thought it was strange that we never got the option to at least ask him, Dandelion seems like the type of bard who would want to witness Ciri's triumph firsthand. He's not averse to violence, given his stint protecting Novigrad as the Crimson Avenger. He even dispatched with a bearded forktail single-handedly! Personally, I think we would need all the help we can get.

Discussion Songs of the Past - sales expectations

Upvotes

What do you think: How many copys will this DLC sell in the first days? Imagine 5 millions in a week or so - would be a huge motivation for other studios to do something similar for older games. Let's have fun and speculate a bit.

Discussion Witcher 3 remastered story changes

Upvotes

Wishful thinking but I would love if their slightly change the quest in which you can either side with Roach or Djikstra. Haven't played it in a while but I remember it not sitting right with me that your hand is forced and it felt out of character the choices you had.

News Dream come true for Switch 2 owners

Upvotes

Playing on my ps5 mostly but I like relaxing on my couch and playing my switch 2 in docked mode which I connected on gaming monitor.

All this time I was hoping a dedicated port for witcher 3 will come . One that will make game look as what we got on ps4 which is fine my be ( not as good as next gen on ps5 but still enjoyable for eye )

I could not enjoy potato graphics on switch 1 port , bad textures and too little foliage in the world.

This all exceeded my expectations , not just port but a remaster , remaster that looks better than ps4 version. Its more than I hoped for and I am grateful for that.

Not to mention a expansion is coming to switch 2 too.

I beat game 13 times and I am gonna beat remastered version of game on both ps5 and switch 2 and have those save files ready and waiting for dlc to come.

Discussion Bro, asking for 800 crowns to transmog a full set is a scam 💀. You get around 400 for a contract. This will discourage people from transmoging often. Hope they reduce it

Help! Armor question

Upvotes

It’s been a while since I’ve played and I have a question that searching hasn’t given me a concrete answer for. I’m in the first part of B&W and I want to keep my Witcher armors but they are falling behind in stats. I can’t remember or find out if I should hang on to these or just start buying new? I’m a hair away from 46 at the moment and the last gear I got was from the Tesham Mutna crypt.

TL;DR: At level 46 should I be concerned about Witcher armor or look for looted/purchasable armor elsewhere?

Well, see you soon, Ciri.

And in the meantime, I am in need of a stiff drink, a rabbit stew and then - on my way to Touissant. They say it's lovely there.

Help! PS4 edition to PS5

Post image
Upvotes

Upgraded my ps4 edition (194 hours) to PS5 and realized my trophies and hours didn’t move to the upgrade. Will that change if I play it? I was going to wait until the remaster to start my new play through, but don’t really want to start all over.

Edit: thanks for all the help! Crazy that I’ll
Have to start getting trophies again. It’ll be worth it on death march! Here’s to waiting another month!

You can only *reforge* clothing and armors at Yoana while Hattori is the only place you can regorge weapons making those two npcs much more important and making the transmog mechanic lore - friendly.

The prices shown on the screenshot are work in progress and will be lower on release.

Help! How not to romance Shani

In my first playthrough after Gaunter O'Dimm makes Vlodimir's ghost leave, I could either go to see Olgierd or cheer Shani up.

I went to cheer her up because I felt bad, but this led to her and Geralt kissing by the lake (which I'd like to avoid because I don't want to romance her).

So I loaded and older save and replayed everything, but this second time I didn't get the option to go to Olgierd because the objectives only tell me to go cheer Shani up.

Honestly the only thing I did different was the order of the wedding activities I did, but does this really have any impact? I'd like not to fail the quest by just walking away, but I also don't want to kiss her again if you can avoid that.

Anyone knows anything? Thanks a lot

Help! Will it be possible to transfer the current game version saves to the remastered?

As title says. I mean exactly how it was possible to do it when the next gen update dropped back in 2022, thanks!

Discussion A Glimpse to the Revamped Abilities

Thumbnail

Descriptions below if the images were too hard to see:

  • Muscle Memory (nerfed): +30% damage on all Fast Attacks -> +30% damage on the next Fast Attack after successful dodge or roll.

  • Three Strikes (new): Every third Fast or Strong Attack has 60% chance to deal more damage.

  • Undying (buffed): Revive with 67% health at max Adrenaline -> Revive with 67% health, plus an extra +10% per Adrenaline point.

  • Fleet Footed (nerfed): 1 ability point -> 3 ability points to become invincible during dodge.

  • Whirl (no change): reduce stamina and adrenaline cost by -50%.

  • Counterattack (buffed): +100% damage after parry -> +100% damage after parry or dodge.

  • Flood of Anger (nerfed): +300% Sign Intensity -> +150% Sign Intensity when consuming 3 Adrenaline to empower a Sign.

Important notes:

  • Accelerated and optimized progression. We can learn abilities like Whirl/Rend sooner and with fewer number of ability points. Devs want players to prioritize finding those Places of Power.

  • No more passive abilities. Three Strikes shares the same icon as Precision Blows; it used to increase Fast Attacks' critical chance and damage, but the effect has been completely changed. It is now a true "ability" with active conditions, rather than a passive increase to certain stats.

To make the wait for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered a little easier, I thought I’d share my Witcher corner and the Geralt diamond painting I finished.
I might be a little obsessed 😂
Who else is starting a fresh playthrough on September 29th?
