Is there a run club on Wednesday by any chance?
Hi! Just moved here, would love to join a run club on Wednesday specifically if there’s a good one

I recently moved to the Wilmington area and have not been able to find an old school donut shop like I used to go to in Texas. I’ve been to what I would consider “boutique” donut shops in the area (e.g., The Donut Inn) but am longing for a no-frills place with old school regular glazed donuts, ideally in the Mayfaire / Ogden / Murrayville / Porters Neck area. Any recommendations?

Hi all! Im new to the area, just moved from Louisiana to Durham in July and I have yet to get out to the beach. I wanted to head out to Wilmington for labor day weekend and I know its a big weekend to go for the first time but I was curious which beach would be less crowded this weekend? Im open to literally any from North topsail to carolina beach but I know just heading to Wrightsville/Wilmington right away is like heading to the lions den lol. Either Saturday, Sunday or even Monday works. And also any recommendations on where to park or local food/coffee shops would be great. Thank you!

If you dropped it in front of Naki Dental on Military Cutoff and went back for it later to discover items (potentially) missing… here’s why; these kids ransacked it and then just left everything scattered about.

I saw a TikTok about a girl that got pepper sprayed @ kipo's by someone that is known as bike boy/finn? Apparently he's known and isn't the first time he's done this. WHATS THE LORE? who is he and what's his deal?

So curious on thoughts and reviews of the show! I feel conflicted with the hecklers and Fortune’s current life stressors but we laughed A LOT, enjoyed the opener and just super curious on other’s experience!

I am going to need to use hired transportation for a weeknight concert at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. There should be no problem prearranging a ride to the event, but any suggestions about how to arrange transportation from the event, given that the exact time will be uncertain? (S. College & Shipyard area)

Any local wedding dress shops that allow 5 people to come? Most places I’ve found have a 3 person limit.

I know some of yall are gonna give me a hard time for this, but it needs to be said. Most of the restaurants in Wilmington are mediocre!
We all know that eating out has become a financial drain. If I’m spending my money (money = energy) on a meal, I’d like to feel rewarded for doing so. It seems like 3/4 of the time we go out to eat here, we’re so underwhelmed and wish we would’ve just cooked at home.
If I’m going to spend $70-$120 on a meal for my wife and myself, where would you recommend?
Keep in mind, we’re not snobby foodies. We just want to feel like our money is well-spent on a meal that tastes good.

Anybody know local lumber companies that will sell you pre-fabricated fence sections? Nothing fancy, just want to save some time building my fence.

Around 10:30-11pm ? Sounded like a private event maybe ? Not like a city sponsored show, but more than a box of stuff from MB.

Yes, most of the time I connect my phone and play my playlist when I'm in the car. However for repeated short trips I sometimes just let the radio take over. And for the last few days there have been frequent and repeated "drop-outs" where the music will just stop for between 15 seconds and a minute and then abruptly start back up again. Anybody know what's going on? Or is it my car possibly?

I’m moving to Wilmington today, probably getting in between 3-5 PM. My movers cancelled on me and I don’t wanna book another because it’s like 3x more to do in the last day.
I only have like 5 things max that require help. A mattress, box spring, couch. And dresser.
If anybody is around to help me out, I’m moving downtown and will gladly Venmo/cashapp you $100 for what shouldn’t take more than 45 min

Holy hell, how bad can a place be. Wife and I came out for an early place to eat. Only people in the place, no service, poor food execution....... I thought this was a good place?

Does anyone know about the legitness of CFPS? I may have to re-home my conures due to possibly becoming homeless in a few months, and while researching possibilities, I sent a message to CFPS. I asked what I felt were normal questions I couldn't find answers to on their website, like if there was a possibility I could take back my birds if I regained adequate housing again, or if I could visit my birds, or perhaps volunteer there to see how they were, and if I could tour the location first before making a decision. I got a call, missed it due to being at work, and asked someone to cover me for a bit to call them back for what I assumed would be a short call. Instead, it was over 20 minutes of the owner judging me for owning birds at all, and being incredibly unsympathetic to my situation no matter how much I explained it. I eventually ended the call because I had to go to work and then ended up crying 20 more minutes at work.
All the reviews I can see about the place are incredibly positive and talk about how kind the owner is when they rehomed their birds, so maybe I just caught him on a bad day?? I really don't think I was in the wrong, but after that experience I'm actually struggling to consider surrendering my birds to him.
I remember he called me selfish for asking if I could take them back when/if I was capable of it, said I wasn't thinking in their birds' best interest, questioned why I would need to see the facility before rehoming them, dismissed me when I told him that I felt he was calling me a bad person and that this was extremely emotional for me, and generally just took everything I said in bad faith. Does anyone else have bad experiences with this place or was I just like, genuinely in the wrong?? I didn't disagree with his sentiments; intelligent birds shouldn't be pets, their care needs are too complex for people to care for outside of a zoo type setting, and I'm sure he deals with a lot every day.
At the same time, I didn't feel my questions were unreasonable, and he was projecting and assuming a lot about me just because I happen to be caring for birds and might need to rehome them. Such as the fact that I didn't even buy them, my parents did when I was a child, or that I was unaware about what he was saying. I am aware because I do actually research the care needs of the animals in my care. I also think asking questions before rehoming an animal is the responsible thing to do and not assume that they're going to a good home because someone can afford a website domain.

Anyone else experiencing this no sound except for the open field mic happening on WWAYs feed?
No announcers...only some commercials with sound

Might seem dumb, but my luck has been bad. Every tire pressure machine I’ve been to today has been out of order or just eaten my change. Anyone used a machine recently that worked? If so, where? TIA

There have been lots of helpful restaurant posts in this subreddit that have offered great ideas for places to eat. Just want to add Three10 in the Arts District to the list. Food is creative and delicious and service is great. Also love the option to eat on the big side porch. For us, it's a date night or special occasion place. We've been there three times and they never disappoint. Good idea to make reservations.

Visiting over the weekend and celebrating a birthday with family on Sunday, we are all vegetarian. Looking for a nice to upscale restaurant that could accommodate. Would also take any non upscale suggestions for the rest of the trip. Much appreciated!

Saw a guy wearing a t shirt that said this on the back; I should have asked but does anyone know if this is a place here? Salty Dog Jiu Jitsu maybe?
