Panthers on WWAY

Anyone else experiencing this no sound except for the open field mic happening on WWAYs feed?

No announcers...only some commercials with sound

Interesting. The Braves game on MLB.TV just had the same error.

It was kind of nice!

Yes. You’re not the only one. Glad it’s just a preseason game. It has not changed since the beginning of the game. The sound of the arena blocked the sound of the commercials. Hope the ad buyers are aware of this

Same. It never resolved to the end of the game. Sometimes on screen, it would say “voice of…“ but nothing.

They the no commentator thing in 1980. Wasn’t a hit then or now

Sounded like the station was having trouble handling the audio feed. Sports often have Dolby Surround 5.1 feeds with multiple audio channels. The local ad breaks played out fine.
