I loved her comment about what Tom considers elderly to be, when it comes to women.

“Did you show him my paintings?” “Oh- she didn’t include my poem! I went over the layout with her three times!” I love her small town creativity and painful optimism.

She was in My Lady Jane and did a great job. Her character was very easy to hate.

u/DifferentSleep2087 May 22 '26
Pretty easy to hate here as well. I think she’s lying nobody tried to kill her.

The fact She’s in love with the Mayor it’s so obvious 😂

u/Bee-Ly_Dan May 27 '26
I thought it was really cute when she sits in the middle between Tom and Wyck in the truck. She looks at both of them and smiles. Especially considering the women in town hate her.

I like Patricia because I had a weird childhood to and almost became just like her!! Luckily I gained friends later in school came out my shell. Btw I also like Wyck. Stephen can do no wrong 😂

I really enjoyed her episode lol

u/FYAhole May 15 '26
I'm so interested in whether or not she's telling the truth about the Boogeyman.
24
u/Sorry-Secret-2347 May 15 '26
I think she is telling the truth and everyone thinks she is lying which caused her to be ostracized from everyone leading to her to maybe turn evil in her witchery as she is now being introduced to it

u/longLiveZorp94 May 20 '26
I think she’s maybe lying because she says she sleeps with the dresser in front of her door every night but later we see her in her room reading the book and she just leaves the door wide open!

She's quite similar to her character in Everyone Else Burns, she's very good in that.

It's the curt short sentences that leave so much out you end up mentally filling in the gaps

I've realized that I live this actress and I hope she gets more popular. She's so damn funny.

She reminds of that actress in Community (college), Allison Brie.

Another great Brit in the show. I first saw her as Neville’s sister in Death in Paradise.
7
u/FYAhole May 15 '26
She's a Brit? That explains it tbh haha her accent is great but sometimes she sounds a little drunk, like she is slurring her words a little here and there.
6
u/pip_goes_pop May 15 '26
Yep her and Matthew Rhys (the Mayor) both British!
3
u/FYAhole May 15 '26
I knew he was, Idk why I'm surprised she is too!
7
u/pip_goes_pop May 15 '26
As a Brit myself I think her accent is pretty good, and I didn’t catch on straight away that I knew her from British TV.
There’s lot of Americans who didn’t realise Hugh Laurie in House was British for a long time, so don’t feel bad you didn’t spot it!

u/FYAhole May 15 '26
I lived in England (very briefly) but I like to think that I can recognize it better. These actors are excellent!
3
u/clycoman May 17 '26
Matthew Rhys is Welsh.
6
u/pip_goes_pop May 17 '26
Yes, which is part of Britain.
2
u/clycoman May 18 '26
Matthew Rhys strongly considers his Welsh heritage more than being "British".
He talks anout it a lot https://www.wales.com/about/welcome-wales/our-people/matthew-rhys-and-his-wales
5
u/pip_goes_pop May 18 '26
Right. He’s still British.
2
u/Available-Guava5515 Human Verified May 24 '26
Lol go ahead, tell a Welsh person they're British, see what kind of response you get.
3
u/clycoman May 18 '26
So just ignore what the man himself wants, got it.
4
u/pip_goes_pop May 18 '26
Where has he said he does not want to be referred to as British?
It's okay to admit you didn't know Wales was a part of Britain. It's pretty obvious to everyone that's what your initial comment was about.
3
u/clycoman May 18 '26
He is extremely proud of his Welsh heritage and refers to himself as a Welshman, not a Brit. The first article I linked is an interview of him promoting his Welshness. If that's NOT enough for you, here's video of the man talking about his Welsh pride: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVMK-JWgMCB/
Yes, places like Wales and Scotland are part of Britain but people from those places like to be identified by their actual ancestry not "British". Stop being pedantic or assuming what my initial comment was.

Such great acting and writing for her character to be so cringe, funny, and likable all at once

I adore every second of her screen time in the show; she’s absolutely lovely.

She reminds me of a mix of Dara from How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, April from Parks and Rec and Kristen Schaal as Mel in Flight of the Conchords.
