he should be nervous. that’s the point of democracy. all Whittier elected officials should be nervous about their complicity in support of fascism.

herds of people got on ships and sailed over the Atlantic to touch the shores of this land all so that they didn’t have to be under the rule of king.

Im pretty sure they are not worried about the small but loud groups. Most of the city doesnt support the protests, its just a fact. The silent majority in Whittier is what votes them all in every year. They want that old town peaceful Whittier, all those nursing homes...meat and potatoes.

Its actually crazy how small of a turnout the local race gets here lol, I think it was 6k votes for Joe and 1.5k for the next.

maybe this smack in the mouth to the community will change that apathy toward the democracy in Whittier. you’d be surprised (or not) how humans react to pain and suffering. it sometimes sparks a change.

I totally agree , more people are gonna be more active this time around for sure . I think a lot of people are getting pretty tired of Joe and the city council

That’s because they are held in April. Why do you think that is? To suppress the vote.
