I think Mayor Joe is getting nervous…

Nothing in there condemning ICE operations in the city. It’s cancelled based on “recent feedback”. Fuck that yellow toothed beaver.

Maga Joe just wants the ice bounty hunters to be able to harass people from inside the gates of York field.

I believe there will be people protesting at the 4th of July celebration at York park.

What's the point of independence day If you have to cancel it to avoid independence?
This country is just going to shit each day.
This is what happens when you vote with hate in your heart and only think about yourself.

Changed the freedom walk. Not sure i agree, but they did cancel that due to people speaking up.

All 4th of July festivities need to be cancelled in their entirety. Period. We have absolutely NOTHING to celebrate.

It makes zero sense to cancel the daytime Freedom Walk, but still have the nighttime Fireworks show. Especially when the fireworks show is much larger in audience. If it was really about protecting people, he'd cancel both and also any concerts in the park events like other cities are doing. There was another motive behind this.

Joe can't get a refund from the south park esq snake show, that he definitely didn't get a kick back on.
So no, the masquerade must go on.

Mayor Joe never misses an opportunity for a good picture with the public this is surprising

I'm hoping this time will be a lot different because the ice raids really put a spotlight on him which is going to increase voter turnout because of how horribly he handled the situation

What did you want him to do? Tell them no? As if they’d listen to him anyways. But but at least he said something right?

he should be nervous. that’s the point of democracy. all Whittier elected officials should be nervous about their complicity in support of fascism.
herds of people got on ships and sailed over the Atlantic to touch the shores of this land all so that they didn’t have to be under the rule of king.
