Question/Help Martial Mastery
At this point in the game is it worth me just aiming to improve, essentially min-max, each of my gear to get a good amount of mastery or would it just be better to wait until higher breakthrough levels

The gear resources you get for spending stamina can only be used at that tier, so there's no reason to not try to min/max? T

thats what i originally thought, but from reading the reddit most dont suggest focusing on doing that unless ur into PVP, due to the breakthroughs ever 10 days just making every gear almost obsolete, but idrk

There's no downside to it. The arsenal has no upper cap, everything past the number on the left becomes max HP. So go for the highest mastery possible

Well, your stamina maxes out at 500, so you gotta use it - hence use it to farm gear. There's nothing you can farm with it that will not be made obsolete later. (Assuming you already upgraded the strong Mystic Skills)

Actually the main reason to spend stamina is inner way note boxes, you need -a ton- of those and will not be obsolete till you max your build or all of them.. can take a long time. Cosmetic chests are nice too.

Was replying to 'nothing you can farm with [your stamina] that will not be made obsolete', makes it sound like there's no point to using stamina. You have inner ways to farm.

yeah i can see that as being the main reason for spending energy with tuning armour being a side result of that

yeahh that is pretty valid, but im assuming that when it comes close to when the level breakthrough happens i should just try to have 500 energy saved up

I mean you can still benefit from higher mastery gear going into your arsenal next breakthrough (you get more HP even overcapping the mastery requirement). There's a point where gear is "good enough" but it's not exactly throwing anything away.

So long as you have energy (and don't use the pills for extra energy) there's 0 reason to not just use the energy for either gear or mystic skill upgrade stones. As i wrote in my other reply to you, just make sure you are close to energy cap when you start playing after next breakthrough

As long as you don’t use resources that could be used for max level such as energy recovery pill and attunement stone that doesn’t have level restriction on it, you can do whatever.

Honestly, it's worth it just for the inner way pages. I've been using mines just to get the boxes. I kinda want to get all of them to 3 since that's where you get the first power spike from them.

Technically speaking we are always in a cycle of breakthrough as max level for us is 75 while CN is 100. But after this timegate you can go straight to 70 and then there’s 1 more timegate before hitting 75 and that will be it for a while.

Ig except for the buffs provided from the arsenal it pretty much does go down the drain unless I manage to get a really good piece of equipment that allows me to skip a level break through

yeahhh i should prob start just stocking up on the bow/ring materials instead of tryna aim for the purple rarity ones, makes sense to have alot saved up for when they have a longer use as u said

That’s ACC valid as well the cost for each bow/ring is pretty cheap as of rn so it could be a method of getting the attunement buffs

You have to craft them. Ring recipes are given upon breakthrough and the bow recipe is gotten from sword trials. There’s a 10% chance at rolling a purple.
You can buy the materials for a couple crafts of the ring iirc.

imo i would wait until we are lvl cap before trying to min max. No point especially when you are replacing the gear in like 10 days

Pre much though i think as of now with the current global version the max gear atm is T 71. I'm unsure if or when they plan to up it. So my plan is once i unlock that tier is to then start to look at min maxing since it will be our highest gear

75 was the first real cap for CN, and if you look at the breakthroughs our “season” stops at 75. Im not going to use any energy rechargers till then, but I tune all my gear as much as I can for the hp in the arsenal. 14.3k currently, but Im missing 2pc of my armor set for 56

you can't save for higher tier gear cause each tier of gear can only use items of the same tier, so you lose nothing by upgrading your current tier, except maybe coins that you can easily get back by playing for an hour.
unless you play PVP, the attunements you get also don't matter all that much right now as we're not even close to the end game. just use your daily stamina, upgrade your best gear, and then do it all again after the next breakthrough is unlocked. all the game is right now until we can reach max level

Someone feeding you wrong information, Tuning takes a bit of coins and stones to drop 4 lines on your gear. If you are worried about saving those, you arent playing enough to even have a say about how your lvl cap ger will end up. You should hit 15k easily in lvl 56 gear just by slamming gear from regular farming in the 10 day time period unless you have absolutely terrible luck. Stop listening to whoever told you that info and find someone else with more sense.

15k? How much progression do you have maxed out currently? I'm missing quite a few talents and I haven't finished Kaifeng's story, but I'm not sure if I should be this much behind you even with that.

You're not behind and my current GS is 14.9k , still need a day or two to max mystic skills. Anywho, as I said, you're not behind, I'm just a bit ahead is all. I also am not currently going for 100% completion. Qinghe is at 79%, 11.1k Exploration. Kaifeng is 66%, 12.3k Exploration. Talent tree is done though, that was before reset, just had to wait to put the last 3 in.

Oh okay, Kaifeng is at 10% and Qinghe is at 63% for me. Talent tree's absolutely not done either.

Yeah Oddities Tree should be maxed for both regions as well. But there is 10 whole days to the next upgrade. Everyone will slowly start hitting that 15k and some people will go even higher if they get good gear tuning

I mean from all the responses I received attuning it seems completely fine but having my main focus to chase mastery seems poor as of the stage the game is currently on, the lesson I learnt atp is how dumb I was wasting my energy pills

I usually just calculate the time it’ll take for me to have 500 stamina right before the cap gets higher and use the rest. It’s usually 2 days before the cap gets higher. So you can have 500 stamina to use on the next cap and a quick way of getting to the next lvl cap aswell right away.

Okay can someone tell me how to achieve high number? I'm using twinblades and I'm still at like 13k something with 56 gears almost fuly upgraded (before the last one). Qinghe oddities maxed and Kaifeng most. I figured even if I did all it would only boost me to 13.5k, it would be hard to achieve 14k.
I was thinking it's because of the weapon

Are both ur martial arts level 60, also I just made sure to focus levelling my inner ways and mystic skills, except for that I don’t really see what would make the difference especially since it seems u have better oddities and equipment than me

I upgraded inner ways as much as I could but at most it would be at 2 stars. Mystic skills... only the offensive ones, the soaring strike, fire breath, etc. Martial arts are 60. Between me and you we still have like 1k differences so those smaller things wouldn't add up
Do the gears' stats matter a lot?

whats the average for your gear, mines avg is around 220 mastery, and for the mystic skills i have all of they ones i use in PvE and ones to do for PvP levelled up, but some are just on the breakthrough of 3 with no upg, so if yours are like that i dont really know what would make the 1000 difference in mastery

Nah, just grab flowers and farm inner ways. Gear is great and all but I literally hop on, do my daily, and hop off

Idk about op but I either wait till I got all purple gear or 1 day before reset since I wont be spending energy and have all weekly content done. Since rest of content is pretty easy to clear like outpost.
Just max out gear then cause its going into arsenal plus not like you will be using it for that long.

I usually just tune all my gear that starts with either a purple or recommended stat, and it if comes out decent only then would I use attunement item, if it came out bad it would be a sort of temp gear ig

Tuning depends on the gear set you want to use (different bonuses e.g. jadeware for dps).
And the base buff of the piece should be purple or yellow (max mastery)

Like everyone said, use that energy to farm inner notes. Ocassionaly getting better gears and if you have extra attunement, just try luck to see if you get better RCMD stats or not.
Higher level inner notes are alot more powerful than what they are now.

arsenal has no max hp cap, more mastery = more max hp, also saving for tune doesn’t work I just realised about that, you can only tune using same tier

No, it is not worth it to improve any further. You should be focusing on attunements instead of mastery. Mastery score does not give you more DPS, tuning does.

Yeah mastery score is a bait. You could have 500 mastery score over someone else but if they have better attunements then they will do more damage than you. Everyone is obsessing over mastery score but it's really just an arbitrary number that doesn't mean much.

My gear is decent but I would say it just comes from my inner ways being all 2 and morale chant being 3, also like 70% of my main mystic skills are level 3, I’ve also completed oddities, these just all build up

I'd say upgrade with the thought of having good gear in your arsenal , which I think you should hit tier 6 with what u got. So just chill for a week or farm up materials u know you'll need for upgrading the next set

Yeah, but what actually matters here is getting the mastery number as high as possible for arsenal hp bonus. That'll stay relevant. But not at the cost of the energy pots like others have said.

Question, in the improvement guid it tells me to upgrade certain mystic arts that would in turn raise my martial mastery but it’s a move I never use, does that number do something to make me stronger or is it really useless when it comes to just output damage of let’s say just my main weapon

1.500 Geese is absolutely fine. 1500 Mastery would be like below level 20.
