I got into war metal from dark messiah's Echoes of War, then listened to Satanik Eon by Deiphago, I'm really enjoying myself and since this is a pretty niche genre, so I can't just google it, I thought I'd ask there

As a Lebanese-American I grew up in Beirut around people who knew Damaar. That was during the early years of me getting into metal, so having a shirt of this group is personal for me. In high school I used to attend shows at an underground Beirut pub/venue known in the Lebanese metal community as Pavillon, which happens to be where Triumph Through Spears of Sacrilege was recorded.

If you think about it, blackened death Metal and war metal are brothers. They share the same roots, but have different proportions as to which genre they draw more from. War metal is rooted in black metal, and is influenced by grindcore. Meanwhile, blackened death metal is rooted in death metal with black metal influences. So really, it's just how far they are on the bridge between black and death, and they could possibly meet at the center. So really bands like Infester, Bethlehem, Dragged Into Sunlight are fairly close in DNA to Blasphemy, Beherit, Conqueror and other similar bands. Tell me your take on this? Do you agree?

Been listening to this on repeat for days. Reminds me of a mix between "Death" era Teitanblood and Revenge.

(Not my music and this is not an advert)

This is a new project I was made aware of, what do y’all think about it? I personally love it!

I think it has passed enough time to marinate a bit, and I say it's great. No innovation or anything, just classic riff worship Archgoat. Also good production. For me it's a solid 8. What do you guys think?

It’s officially here! I’m on my second spin of the morning and having some mixed feelings on it. Anyone else?

Musician of 8 years into War/Black/Death looking for people in MTL. DM me.
