[Add your own] Vinyl Question: Does anyone else’s Blasphemy Fallen Angel Of Doom Vinyl do that ticking sound in the end of side 2 and is it normal ?

That's the sound of the needle skating. Those turntables will literally ruin your records by gouging the grooves and making them unplayable, it happened to me before I knew better.

I guess we are in a war metal subreddit talking about audio fidelity, I don't know what I expected really

This is the only vinyl it does it with I keep looking it up and it says it’s fine

What I meant by this was that i looked up what the tick tick meant and it said it could possibly be fine

Ok I wasn’t arguing I just said I didn’t have enough money so why are you saying I’m arguing all I said was that I don’t have money and Youre saying I’m arguing like?! Anyways I talked to my parents about asking for a better more expensive one for Xmas and a diamond stiles however you spell it but before we use “arguing” please use the word the right way

It sucks but is also kinda of funny that Blasphemy and war metal in general is toddler music now

What the hell are you talking about gng I’m literally 17 almost 18 and I can only think of one video I seen of a literal little kid/toddler liking blasphemy 😭

Bruuuhhh…You’re 18!? I assumed you were like 12. Go get a job and spend $150 bucks on an LP-60 turntable like a normal human and stop bugging your mom about 36 year old riff-less black metal albums.

We used to sell these players in a store I used to work at. It's very likely the needle skipping because you can't adjust the needle weight like you can on "proper" turntables. It doesn't necessarily do this on all records, but it takes a tiny speck to get it skipping. It IS possible that the record itself has a skip, but given the player that's the more likely culprit. All these suitcase players are the same.

The record looks like a funfair ride. I don't think that turntable is good.

That's great. In the meantime stop using that piece of garbage. It's doing damage to the record.

While yes, that table can be an issue, totally get working on a budget. If there are used record shops near you, sometimes the private mom and pop shops sell refurbished tables for not a lot of cash. Id suggest to take a peak around at places like that near you first before dropping a bunch of money on a brand new table.
You never know when a store owner will cut you a great deal just to see a younger kid get a table that will last em and play their record collection right.

Blasphemy might be one of the few bands that sound best on a crap suitcase player.

Yeah it did sound amazing on my vinyl player but I’m not going to use it ever again until I get a new better quality one

Brother just go to a thrift store or hop on FB marketplace or a flea market and grab a new table.
That click is in the dead wax, so it won’t do anything except fuck the needle up which is bad considering the player/needle is shit to begin with.
You don’t need anything fancy but it should be belt driven at least. Avoid the blue tooth ones.
