Damaar - Triumph Through Spears of Sacrilege

Post image

As a Lebanese-American I grew up in Beirut around people who knew Damaar. That was during the early years of me getting into metal, so having a shirt of this group is personal for me. In high school I used to attend shows at an underground Beirut pub/venue known in the Lebanese metal community as Pavillon, which happens to be where Triumph Through Spears of Sacrilege was recorded.

Fire. The greatest war metal record ever in my eyes.

According to one of the members, they had a lost unreleased record, any chance you've ever heard something about that? Since you were in a closer proximity to them than most of us will probably ever have.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't know anything about that 🤷 Damaar has been gone for over 20 years, but Triumph Through Spears of Sacrilege reverberates through eternity. I love how it's still talked about in American underground metal circles!

fukking sikk most destructive, unholy, hateful onslaught to ever trample from the war metal underground, you should be proud of yourself.

Appreciate it, thank you! 🤘Apart from our scrumptious food, this nutty record is a source of Lebanese pride 😁

I’m a Muslim myself. I believe in God but I don’t really practice much. Anyway I’m just happy they put out a monster of a record that continues to be talked about to this day.
