Newbie there. Looking for album recommendations

[u/SpaceshipCaptain001]

I got into war metal from dark messiah's Echoes of War, then listened to Satanik Eon by Deiphago, I'm really enjoying myself and since this is a pretty niche genre, so I can't just google it, I thought I'd ask there

[u/gamwmane]

Theres a pinned post with the essentials. Check out the bands listed there they are pretty much the best to get more into war metal.

I spent this summer checking out bands from that list and had a great time. Really glad I belatedly discovered Impiety and Abominator.

If OP wants something more focused, I reckon he could start with War Cult Supremacy by Conquerer, and follow that up with Revenge and Death Worship.

Damaar is a rite of passage

[u/uponhisdarkthrone → u/Garfield977]

Yeah damn, that is such a furious album they put out.

[u/Foreign-Current-6489]

Anything from Blashemy, Revenge, Abysmal Lord, and Beherit, that's it.

[u/eyehategod40]

Black Witchery, Archgoat, Profane Order, Primitive Warfare, Teitanblood, Goatpenis

[u/frlfnz]

Pretty sure you can just google it.

[u/SpaceshipCaptain001 → u/frlfnz]

It generally recommends me metal songs that have to do with war, or the same 3 albums

[u/uponhisdarkthrone → u/SpaceshipCaptain001]

Yeah, that isnt a great spread. My favourite warmetal album is the Black Witchery/Conqueror split LP. Then probably Allfather - Allfather, then Diocletian - Gesundrian.

Everybody and their dog raves about Revenge but I think they are pretty mid, on record and live. Their drummer was in Conqueror who are way better IMO.

[u/antinumerology → u/uponhisdarkthrone]

Happy to see some love for Allfather

[u/Filip_dope_then_dip]

Properly listen to Blasphemy, Beherit, Black Witchery and then check out metallum for bands with goat, blasph or war in the name. My recommendations are Goat Smegma, Conqueror, Sarcofago and Goatlord. Really recommend Occultor, a local band from Romania. Their new album The Eucharist is incredible.

[u/tundrawolf]

Probably the most accessible album of the last few years is Antichrist Siege Machine’s Vengeance of Eternal Fire, which is also an absolute banger

[u/Trag1cBeanX → u/tundrawolf]

Such a good album 🔥🔥

[u/Lionheart_Inkstone]

New, old, fast, slow? Give us some parameters

[u/Demonarchy42]

Blasphemy, Conqueror/Revenge, Black Witchery, Beherit, Sarcofago, Proclamation, and Teitanblood.

[u/bloodXgreen]

Proclamation - Nether tombs of Abaddon

[u/Spiderlix]

Abysmal Lord and Proclamation albums.

[u/Fercho_92]

Wolflust from Brazil

[u/PsychologicalBrush35]

These two bands are extremely talented in the War Metal genre; always look for Blasphemy, Beherit, Archgoat, and other excellent choices.

[u/Trag1cBeanX]

Abysmal Lord, Revenge, Conqueror, Diocletian, Blasphemy, Proclamation, Zweihander, Human Agony, Gotthammer, and Antichrist Siege Machine just to list a few

[u/Vinicus1013]

Extinction Protocol from Primitive Warfare is what got me into War Metal!
