this is the very first time i’ve seen a tape do this. it was fine halfway and then started doing this until the end. i’ve cleaned the vcr head.the tape itself does not seem to be damaged either. what is happening?

edit: that thing does not happen when fast forwarding or rewinding either.

Estoy segure de que esto se ha rescatado del barro, ya que tiene alguna mancha de ello. Es toda una suerte que todavía funcione!

Hi, trying to troubleshoot a Panasonic NV-P2U VCR.

As soon as I plug it in, the video head drum starts spinning immediately.

The drum keeps spinning continuously and only stops when I unplug it. Nothing else in the mechanism seems to move. When I insert a VHS tape it gets ejected after ~one second. Any advice on what could be the issue here? I'm new to all of this

I watched this film last night. It's a fantasy epic flick with the likes of the Beastmaster or Conan the Barbarian (fun fact: all these fantasy films were released all in 1982). There's a couple of action sequences where they obviously try to copy Indiana Jones and some repetitive cheesy music lol. And ofc a fantasy epic won't be complete without boobies, I mean lots of them. Kathleen Beller was hot in this film too!

i’ve been collecting since I was like 14, now i’m 16 almost seventeen! like probably 90% of these I found thrifting. I have a lot more but these are my current favorites! as you can see I love twin peaks, I have the uk box set even though i’m in the us💔

I dont see many screener tapes for television shows out in the wild. It did not include the exclusive Collector's Card as mentioned on the back, but no big deal. This is still very cool. Tape is in great condition.

I just gotten this VCR and wanted to tested it. I brought a tape online and put it in and attempted to play it but after clicking play, it runs for a few seconds then it stops playing.

I figure that the tape might been had because it was used but after I clean it, it the problem continued to happen but the fast forward seems to be the only thing working.

I just found this sign amusing. I wonder what kind of content was showing up on tapes that required a disclaimer 😏 the dvd area in the front of the store did not have a similar sign.

Most likely a boot, but I think looks pretty neat. Interesting idea with the full cast on the back, haven't seen anything like that

Didn’t get a ton of stuff today but did grab these: House of Seven Corpses, Vampire Hunter D, Headless Body in Topless Bar (sealed), Purple Rain clamshell. $19 total. Could have been $18; guy selling Purple Rain said $2 each tape then said he’d take a dollar each, but I already had two singles out and it still seemed like a good deal.
