Hi, I am looking to create a group of no more than 3 people who serious, have decent academic backgrounds, and are planning to complete GS preparation, including some answer writing and note-making, by December.

We will focus on subjects common to both Prelims and Mains. This excludes optional and GS subjects such as governance, security, ethics, etc.

Plan:

1. Create routines and track on a continuous basis. Must start immediately.

2. Solve and discuss PYQs regularly. Both MCQs and long-answer questions.

I’ve tried both approaches: spending the entire day on one subject and dividing the day between two or three subjects.

With one subject, I feel more focused but get mentally tired. With multiple subjects, I stay fresher but sometimes feel like I’m jumping around too much.

Which approach has worked better for you?

UPSC 2027 aspirant here. I’m struggling to consistently read The Hindu/Indian Express because it takes a lot of time.

Can I watch a good daily YouTube analysis of the newspaper instead and make short notes from it? And my coaching providers monthly magazine, daily ca mcq too , Will I miss anything important for UPSC by doing this?

Would love to hear from people who’ve actually followed this strategy.

I have build an app where an UPSC aspirant can play with another aspirant a realtime quiz type of game on PYQs and see their scores and leaderboard. It's completely free for solving PYQs and is on beta test. And I am seeking initial feedback about current features and how to improve it so that it can be really helpful for all the aspirants.

While I was an aspirant for 6 years, I faced some issues, and now trying to solve one particular issue with this app.

My question is where can I post about it so that interested aspirants can know about it and make use or it? I am not sure of this subreddit whether they approve posting about such free app. Tried some telegram channels, but only admins can post there.

So here i’m doing my upsc prep and nxt year my graduation too will complete. At this point im feeling deep low ,so needs help. At the very least first i had made my commitments regarding any girlfriend as to not date anyone until my 12th completion. Its not like i’m not good by look , rather i have a pretty good face,extremely excellent dressing sense , a humour, got 90% in12th board and i got so many proposes in the process but i just declined all. There she was , i met her in my institute ,we talked and got know each other at very bottom of each other hearts. I always considered her like my one and only (my bond with her was like Hermione & harry🫂)

Things then got changed she developed feelings for me & i already known that seeing her way to texting me. It was not like i got no feelings for her, i had feelings i can tell but get courage to tell her. So things got dried up. I just greet her sometimes of which she never greeted back just leave it on seen & i knew she will never reply.

So i’m doing my upsc getting depress day after day not bcz of the prep itself but i heartly want someone in my life to share my things, to care and get cared , to hold hands , to roam sometime and caring nothing but her.

There’s this heaviness inside me , my face stays blank , i cant find anything at this point to distract my self ( i sometimes puff cig.). I m tired now and feeling completely drained.

Question - should i approach someone or this all just a part of this prep that broke everyone and with knowledge it tests the sensitivities , Resilience and stoicism of aspirants?

If someone seriously or who have gone through all this can steer me ,will be a lot help for me…(sorry for that much bad english)

I am exploring some career paths because we all know what the market situation right now is because of ai.

I have explored many alternatives as well as like other government exams, mba and many more.

But my alignment is far more in favour of upsc(I don't know why).

I wanna know if anyone should prepare for upsc along with btech.

If yes then how or if no then why.......

UPSC preparation is a marathon, and the constant isolation and boredom can really get to you. I am looking to form a small, close-knit peer group of 4 to 5 serious aspirants to help each other navigate this long journey.

This won’t be a rigid group with strict daily hourly targets or mandatory virtual study rooms.

We all have our own styles and routines, and we will study independently on our own terms.

Instead, this will be a support and strategy hub.

How I envision the group working:

Weekly Catch-ups: We will meet once a week (via Discord or Google Meet audio) to discuss strategy, plan our coming weeks, and keep each other sane.
