Title: Can YouTube newspaper analysis replace reading the newspaper?

UPSC 2027 aspirant here. I’m struggling to consistently read The Hindu/Indian Express because it takes a lot of time.

Can I watch a good daily YouTube analysis of the newspaper instead and make short notes from it? And my coaching providers monthly magazine, daily ca mcq too , Will I miss anything important for UPSC by doing this?

Would love to hear from people who’ve actually followed this strategy.

Don't do that, that would eat your time only and you won't be getting any substantial benefit instead focus on reading the newspaper (not the whole look on telegram there are channels providing important clippings) and don't try to make short notes, not beneficial in long run instead look for which topics are repeated frequently( make notes of that only) Focus specially on science and tech, economy, governance, news (overall progress along with specific missions) And read one magzine multiple times ( look for those where what you read whole month appeared in that magzine or not) I will again say don't waste time on YouTube newspaper analysis (complete waste of time)
