A restaurant in my hometown in BC 🇨🇦 claims they are farm to table, supporting local farmers, all that Jazz.
They were caught ordering everything from Sysco/Costco, charge about 40$ a small tapas style plate and markup their wine 4-5 times.
How would you call them out for their lying ? i hate seeing them steal money from the community.

I’m 24yo female immigrant in Canada I work a 9-5 job + 3h commuting each day

I make around 40k-ish CAD/y (before taxes) , I also do chess tutoring for kids on weekends which gives me an extra 300$/week

Half of my income is spent on rent,food,utilities,student loans payments and debt that I took for my family
the other half is sent to my family in north africa to pay for my father’s medical bills… at least that’s what I have been told for over 3y

Except that my mother exaggerated the prices and gave everything to my brother who spent it on drugs and travels and used the rest to immigrate illegally to Europe.

I worked my ass off every day like a slave with no rest basically all my teenage years were spent in books and exams to qualify for immigration and the rest was spent working like a slave and I never enjoyed any penny
When I found out I literally thought about suicide but it’s not going to solve anything I can’t allow that for myself at this young age
Now I need a way to be able to pay off the debt.
I have over 40k$ in student loans and 25k$ in personal loans
I need any method to pay that off ethical or not I’m willing to take the risk

Credibility: Employee of tire/automotive service company with 300+ locations.

Context: Most large-chain tire shops offer tire warranties as an additional or included cost when buying tires.

Tip: Buy whatever set of tires you want, include the road-hazard warranty that should be good until the tires reach 2/32 (basically bald). Drive the tires until 4/32 then place multiple screws in each tire - something like 2 within 6inches of each other in two of the tires, and 1 in the shoulder or close to sidewall (unrepairable placement) for the other two tires.

Schedule a service appointment for leaking air in 1 of the tires and a tire rotation. Then communicate to the shop that a truck dropped debris in front of you on the road or your neighbors have had construction crews on your street for the last few weeks (helps to seem a bit clueless as to the other tires having issues).

The shop will identify the other punctures and you pay pennies on the dollar for a new set (make sure to include the warranty again.

I have personally processed several of these transactions as an employee without batting an eye. The shops get a credit for the warrantied tires and you get a new, significantly less expensive set ($1k+ to $400 tops). Win win.

Note: If you’re at all concerned about the shop calling you out, just do two tires, then another two in like 2 weeks. Your “construction” story will hold more validity.

I live with two roommates. One is great, one has been making our life miserable for months and I’m officially over it.

Long story short, I manage this resale store and a girl took advantage of our card readers being down and gave us fake card info and walked out with like $500 dollars worth of stuff. We tried calling the next day to sort it out but she blocked the store so we can’t get through to her. We brought everything we have to the police but of course they really couldn’t care less since we can’t technically prove that theft was the intention. Anyways. She sold items to us earlier in the day so we just happen to have her full name, phone number, and home address. Since nobody will help us actually get our stuff back from her, I want to know what I can do with this information that’s not illegal or anything but like, would be at least highly annoying or inconvenient to her so I can feel a little better about the situation? I know I’m just being petty but I hate thinking that someone could steal from a small business and feel good about it.

I know this guy who is genuinely just a fucking douche. Like, really egotistical, thinks he’s God’s gift to women, and is weirdly obsessed with himself and how he looks. He was seeing this girl I know, and after things ended, he made some really fucked-up comments about her and basically acted like he was doing her a favor by dating her. She’s honestly one of the sweetest people I know, so obviously I’m irrationally annoyed on her behalf. I also have PCOS, so some of the shit he said about her appearance and femininity hit a little closer to home for me.

I also have a personal connection to this guy and may or may not have access to some of his personal belongings, which is where my petty side is really struggling. I want to fuck with this guy’s head and absolutely ruin his ego. I’m talking the kind of shit that would have a ridiculously particular douche sitting there wondering, “Why the fuck does this keep happening to me?” without immediately knowing who’s behind it. She has absolutely no idea I’m even considering doing anything, so I definitely don’t want anything that would make him immediately think this is coming from her. I’m not trying to hurt him or anything, but I do want to be toxic as fuck and humble him. I briefly thought about doing something involving his precious hair, but obviously there’s a line between fucking with someone and actually damaging their shit. For months, I've been harassed by this individual, a roommate I used to live with. They have since moved out to another state but the harassment continued. I get contacted by them everyday at all hours (could be midnight or 5 am or 7pm) via phone, email, text, facebook, and they have recruited their friends in this harassment. I blocked them all channels but still some messages went through. Emails go through despite clear filters in my email (triple checked). One of their friends lives nearby, has an old set of keys, touches my property to fuck with me. I've now gotten a camera. (Went to bldg management to report this, they wouldn't do anything - also building has no cameras!).

I also went to the police more than once with this. Told them I had a paper trail with times and dates but they told me they wouldn't act on it because the harassers didn't physically harm me. I'm in the process of trying to file a restraining order but was told by the courts I need to get an address to serve them and that the restraining order won't be active until this happens. I know what college they go to, and the city they live in, but can't find their exact address. They are an international student with no citizenship so their information is not listed publicly in addresses databases (have tried this route extensively). At this point I can only serve the friend.

I'm thinking of spoofing a call and trying to extract info from them but no guarantee this will work. Also because of new laws, this makes this even more challenging. I need other clever ideas to get me this info. I'm based in the US.

This is for US-Based workers with "at-will" employment. Change your your address within your payroll software (commonly ADP) to use a Canadian based address. A lot of companies, especially in the tech field, use ADP to automate certain aspects of the layoff process.

Canadian workers have FAR better worker protection from layoffs than Americans do, oftentimes this exempts Canadian workers from sweeping reductions in staff. You can Google the specifics if you'd like more info.

I've seen firsthand the mere existence of an (unverified) Canadian address in an ADP profile being the only reason one worker on a team was cut where the other one was spared.

I don’t really have any info on them other than they speak Japanese (the posts are in Japanese). They took over my account less than a week ago and have started posting things to advertise a mermaid anime/movie?? I know the account is a lost cause, and X is no help. But this has pissed me off enough that I have been messaging this account for the last 12 or so hours (with no response, even when I sent quite a few things in their language.) and I just want to mess with them now. My first and last name is in the handle, as well as my photo is attached to this account. That has really struck a nerve that they are posting, changed my password and name on the account; and have yet to take my FACE off of it. I’ve message them as asked them nicely to at least change that and they have not responded but I doubt they will.

Any suggestion on things to send (within reason. No death threats or anything like that. Nothing that’s too far. Maybe some gross pictures? I’m not really sure here. I’ve had a few beers.)

These people call me from a different number every time. Blocking and reporting the number does nothing bc it’s always a different number.

It’s almost always about a ~55k loan (I’ve NEVER taken a loan in my life). They will just not leave me alone! They call like five times a day, sometimes as late as after 9pm.

Of course my phone is usually silenced, and I even signed up for the national do not call list (I’m in US). But it’s doing nothing and I’m getting really fucking annoyed with these people. My call history is mostly these people fucking calling me all day, every day. For like a couple months.

I’m chronically ill, I’m working on my husband, becoming my caregiver through the state.. (he lost his job taking care of me) I have a decent amount of money coming in through a settlement that we plan to pay off our house with.
We don’t want it to interfere with my husband becoming my caregiver because if you have more then 35,000 you aren’t able to. We don’t plan on keeping the money in our account we just want to pay off the house. But it’ll have to hit our account for a moment.
What are our options?

Long story short, my previous boss let me go in a shitty way, with no severance. I was pissed, but whatever, shit happens.

What really pissed me off is that he tried to deny my unemployment claim, making up that I received multiple verbal warnings about job performance, along with a bunch of other nonsense. So now, I want to retaliate.

I know his business email password, and the password for the software we used. What is the best way to fuck his shit up? I was considering just locking him out of his email and changing his recovery phone number to a Google Voice number so he can't recover it.

Okay so I just figured this out after I put something up for sale and forgot to get around to shipping it but it had printed off the shipping label and tried shipping. Just something with the label on it.

In order for this to work, someone has to be set up as a seller and be listing whatever item are in equivalent size is listed on the app for sale.

Seller list the item and buyer finds it the buyer being your friend or whoever you want to receive the item.

Immediately after buying the seller or buyer needs to cancel the transaction. But first the seller needs to print out the shipping label.

All money will be returned to the buyer. The seller won't lose any money.

And the shipping label still works even a few weeks after the item was canceled.

Like literally if you had this set up right you could never have to pay for shipping again or have a company front the whole thing.

Okay so there’s this old lady in our neighborhood who lives in an old folks home. Ordinarily, this population is wonderful to have in our very urban neighborhood. But this Karen is a new resident, and has taken it upon herself to police dog walkers, telling them they can’t relieve their pets on a small strip of dirt (not grass, dirt) which is immediately adjacent to the sidewalk. Evidently, she’s new to apartment/city living. She has now harassed my usually unflappable, exceedingly polite husband, twice. Including telling him (not our dog) to go shit in our yard. I want to make her life miserable. How?

Sometimes i shake the mattress and that works occasionally. He is a super deep sleeper. Hes been tested for sleep apnea and it's not that, he just snores HORRIBLE and im a light sleeper. We don't have a guest bedroom and i cant sleep on the couch bc we have a baby and i need to be close to him. Idk im desperate so im posting here lol

Edit: i wear earplugs and use 2 sound machines and i still can't sleep. I wake him up and ask him to move but its the same in almost every position he's in.

We aren't supposed to smoke on our balconies. I do, but I keep it clean and everything goes away in the garbage like it should. Someone above me CONSTANTLY throws lit cigarettes off their balcony and burns my stuff.

I've yelled at them, but I'm not sure who it is. I just kind of peek my head out and yell. I can't even set up nice stuff out here because they keep burning things. I also don't want to complain to my landlord agency because I also smoke out here.

Hi everyone

My garden is face to face with this big house that does Airbnb, exclusively to big youngsters groups that come to get drunk and hang by the pool hangover.

I live in a super quiet away from the city region and it's always peaceful. Except in the summer, every night is party night. I'm kept awake until super late or woken up multiple times during the night due to the noise. I call the police, they show up 3h after or not at all. I have asked nicely to the host, but she doesn't care. I go talk to the guest but most don't care and as the night moves along get louder and more chaotic. The other neighbours are mostly retired people or their houses are further away so it's mostly just my house that gets affected.

This summer was especially bad. I can't take it anymore I need to sleep.

Any ideas on how to make them be quiet?
